The Federal Correctional Complex, Lompoc (FCC Lompoc) is a United States federal prison complex for male inmates in California. It is run by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice, and consists of two facilities: Federal Correctional Institution, Lompoc (FCI Lompoc): a low-security facility. United States Penitentiary, Lompoc (USP Lompoc): a medium-security facility with an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum-security inmates.

It is part of the Lompoc Federal Correctional Complex (FCC Lompoc) and is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. The facility also has a satellite prison camp for minimum-security male inmates. It was formerly a military disciplinary barracks on Camp Cooke. FCC Lompoc is located within the city of Lompoc, 175 miles (282 km) northwest of Los Angeles, adjacent to Vandenberg Space Force Base. The complex also includes a Federal Correctional Institution and a minimum-security prison camp.

While shops and markets can be found in Vandenberg Village, many residents commute to nearby Lompoc on a daily basis.It is close to Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Lompoc High School is a public high school serving Lompoc, in northern Santa Barbara County, California, United States. It was first established in the small farming community in 1892. It is part of the Lompoc Unified School District, as is crosstown rival Cabrillo High.

Lompoc ( LOM-poke; Chumashan Purisimeño: lumpo'o̥) is a city in Santa Barbara County, California. Located on the Central Coast, Lompoc has a population of 43,834 as of July 2021. Lompoc has been inhabited for thousands of years by the Chumash people, who called the area lumpo'o̥, meaning 'in the cheeks' in the local Purisimeño language. The Spanish called the area Lompoco after Fermín de Lasuén had established Misión La Purísima in 1787. In 1837, the Mexican government sold the area as the Rancho Lompoc land grant. Following the U.S. conquest of California, multiple settlers acquired the Lompoc Valley, including William Welles Hollister, who sold the land around the mission to the Lompoc Valley Land Company, which established a temperance colony which incorporated in 1888 as Lompoc. Lompoc is often considered a military town because it is near Vandenberg Space Force Base.

The Lompoc Valley Flower Festival is an annual flower festival held in the city of Lompoc, located northern Santa Barbara County, California. The event is organized and coordinated by The Lompoc Valley Festival Association, and is held annually at Ryon Memorial Park, for 5 days from Wednesday to Sunday on the last full weekend in June. The Flower Festival started in 1952 and is named after the commercial flower fields that used to be plentiful around the city and Lompoc Valley. The festival features a carnival, live entertainment, food, arts and crafts, and a commercial flower center. The event includes the crowning of a Flower Festival Queen, and the Flower Festival Parade on Saturday morning.

Rancho Ex-Mission la Purísima (also called Rancho Purísima) was a 14,736-acre (59.63 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Santa Barbara County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to Jonathan Temple. The rancho derives its name from the secularized Mission La Purísima, but was called ex-Mission because of a division made of the lands held in the name of the Mission— the church retaining the grounds immediately around, and all of the lands outside of this are called ex-Mission lands. The grant was north of the Santa Ynez River and present-day Lompoc and encompasses present-day Vandenberg Village. The grant was defined by the boundaries of the earlier surrounding grants, viz: Rancho Mission Vieja de la Purisma, Rancho Jesús María, Rancho Lompoc, Rancho Los Álamos, and Rancho Santa Rita.

Rancho Mission Vieja de la Purisma was a 4,414-acre (17.86 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day northern Santa Barbara County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to Joaquín Carrillo and José Antonio Carrillo. The grant included the original site of Mission La Purísima Concepción, located north of present-day Lompoc.

The Lompoc Museum is a museum preserving and interpreting the history of the Lompoc area and is located in the town of Lompoc, California. The museum offers interpretive programs, exhibits, multi-media presentations and special events. The museum is located in a former Carnegie library building, built in 1910.
