La Maternitat i Sant Ramon is a neighborhood in the les Corts district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain), the westernmost area of the district, distinctly more working class than its neighbours Pedralbes and Les Corts and similar to the also neighbouring L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Sants. It was part of the former independent municipality of Les Corts, also known as les Corts de Sarrià. Its name stems from the 19th century maternity house known as La Maternitat, in Travessera de Les Corts, designed by Camil Oliveres i Gensana and which includes a large garden. It's made up of residential areas to the west such as Sant Ramon proper and the Torre Melina buildings, and the build-up areas of La Maternitat and Can Bacardí to the east. Centre Cívic Riera Blanca is this neighbourhood's community centre.Most of the facilities of FC Barcelona, including its famous stadium Camp Nou, are located in this neighbourhood. The Malian-Spanish footballer Adama Traoré was born here.

It opened in 1957 and has been the home stadium of FC Barcelona since its completion. With a seating capacity of 99,354, it is the largest stadium in Spain and Europe, and the fourth largest association football stadium in the world in capacity. On 15 March 2022, it was announced that music streaming service Spotify had reached a deal with FC Barcelona to acquire the naming rights to the stadium in a deal worth $310 million. The stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou in July 2022, following the approval of the sponsorship agreement with Spotify by FC Barcelona's Extraordinary Assembly of Delegate Members on 3 April 2022.In April 2022, it was announced that renovation of the stadium will commence in June 2022 after the season's end.

The Hotel SOFIA Barcelona is a skyscraper hotel near Avinguda Diagonal (Diagonal Avenue) in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It has 22 floors and rises 79 meters. The hotel was completed in 1975 as the Hotel Princesa Sofia. It was renamed InterContinental Princesa Sofia in 1996, then the Gran Hotel Princesa Sofia in 2004. It was completely renovated in 2017 and renamed Hotel SOFIA Barcelona. It joined The Unbound Collection of Hyatt Hotels in December 2018.

Palau de Gel, is an arena in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, belonging to FC Barcelona. The 1,256 seating capacity arena is home to the ice hockey division of FC Barcelona. It is located between Mini Estadi and the Camp Nou, few meters north of the Palau Blaugrana. The building occupies 3,650 square metres (39,300 sq ft) and the playing area is 61 metres (200 ft) long by 26 metres (85 ft) wide.

Geosciences Barcelona (acronym: GEO3BCN), formerly known as Institute of Earth Sciences Jaume Almera (or in Spanish Instituto de Ciencias de la Tierra Jaume Almera, ICTJA) is an earth science public research institute of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). It was created in Barcelona (Spain) in 1965 (41.3847°N 2.1191°E / 41.3847; 2.1191) and it is considered among the top research institutes in Earth Sciences in Spain.It is also known in Catalan as Institut de Ciències de la Terra Jaume Almera and was created as the Instituto de Geología de Barcelona. Its former name (before 2020) referred to the Spanish geologist Jaume Almera. GEO3BCN hosts about 30 staff scientists, mounting to 70 when including contracted researchers, and to about 100 including the administration personnel (figures of 2012). Funding comes from the Spanish government, the European Union, and through project contracts with public and private companies. The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) is an institution engaged in fundamental research at the interface between molecular and cell biology, computational and structural biology and chemistry, with experts in proteomics, genomics, biostatistics and advanced digital microscopy. The institute was created by the Government of Catalonia in October 2005 and is located at the Barcelona Science Park (Parc Científic de Barcelona - PCB). The director of the Institute is Prof. Francesc Posas and the Prof. Joan Massagué Solé is scientific advisor. IRB Barcelona was recently named a "Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence" by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (2011), current Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

Palau Reial is a station in the Barcelona Metro and Trambaix networks, in the Les Corts district of Barcelona. It is served by metro line L3 and tram lines T1, T2 and T3. The station draws its name from the nearby minor royal palace in Pedralbes built for Alfonso XIII in 1924, part of which nowadays hosts a Museum of Decorative Arts.The metro station is located under Avinguda Diagonal, between Carrer del Tinent Coronel Valenzuela and the biology faculty of the University of Barcelona. It has two 94-metre (308 ft) long side platforms. The tram station is located in the Avinguda Diagonal, immediately above the metro station.The metro station opened in 1975, along with the other stations of the section of L3 between Zona Universitària and Sants Estació stations. This section was originally operated separately from L3, and known as L3b, until the two sections were joined in 1982.

The Nou Palau Blaugrana will be a multi-sports indoor arena, located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The arena will serve as the new home arena for the basketball (FC Barcelona Bàsquet), handball (FC Barcelona Handbol) and Futsal (FC Barcelona Futsal) sections of the multi-sports club FC Barcelona. The Nou Palau Blaugrana will have a maximum capacity of 12,500 spectators.It will be built on the site currently occupied by the Mini Estadi, which was demolished in 2020 after the construction of the Estadi Johan Cruyff which was completed and inaugurated in 2019. Construction on the new arena is scheduled to begin in 2024 and finish in 2026, and will replace the original Palau Blaugrana, which is across the street and currently serves as the home arena for FC Barcelona's basketball, handball teams and Futsal teams. The project is part of the Espai Barça project.

It has two 94-metre (308 ft) long side platforms. The tram station is located in the Avinguda Diagonal, immediately above the metro station. Both stations lie in front of the La Caixa headquarters in La Maternitat i Sant Ramon.The metro station is named after Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina and was opened in 1975, along with the other stations of the section of L3 between Zona Universitària and Sants Estació stations. This section was originally operated separately from L3, and known as L3b, until the two sections were joined in 1982. The tram station was inaugurated in 2004, the year regular Trambaix service started.

The so-called Pavellons Güell, or Güell Pavilions, is a complex of buildings in the neighborhood of Pedralbes, Barcelona, by the Catalan Modernist architect Antoni Gaudí, built between 1884 and 1887.
