L'Ambroisie (French pronunciation: ​[lɑ̃bʁwazi]) is a traditional French restaurant in Paris, France founded by Bernard Pacaud and now run by his son Mathieu that has maintained three Michelin stars for more than thirty years. The name "L'Ambroisie" ("Ambrosia" in English) comes from Greek mythology and means both "food for gods" and "source of immortality."

The Place des Vosges (French pronunciation: ​[plas de voʒ]), originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, France. It is located in the Marais district, and it straddles the dividing-line between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. It was a fashionable and expensive square to live in during the 17th and 18th centuries, and one of the main reasons for the chic nature of Le Marais among the Parisian nobility.

The hôtel des Tournelles (French: [otɛl de tuʁnɛl]) is a now-demolished collection of buildings in Paris built from the 14th century onwards north of place des Vosges. It was named after its many 'tournelles' or little towers.It was owned by the kings of France for a long period of time, though they did not often live there. Henry II of France died there in 1559 of wounds he received in a joust. After his death, his widow Catherine de Médici abandoned the building, by then quite derelict and old-fashioned. It was turned into a gunpowder magazine, then sold to finance the construction of the Tuileries, designed and developed to suit the queen's Italian style.

The Synagogue des Tournelles (French: Synagogue de la rue des Tournelles) is an orthodox Jewish synagogue in the Marais district of Paris. It was dedicated on 15 September 1876, which coincided with Jewish New Year celebrations in the month of Tishri. The synagogue is built in Roman-Byzantine style, and has been described as an architectural gem. The internal metallic framework is visible and was created by architect Gustave Eiffel.The original congregation was mostly French Jews from the Alsace and Lorraine regions of eastern France. They were joined later by immigrants from Poland, Russia, and other countries of central Europe.In 1941, the syngagogue was attacked as one of Paris synagogue attacks planned by the far-right Revolutionary Social Movement.

Notable buildings include the ancient hôtels Carnavalet, Lamoignon, Sandreville, d'Albret, d'Alméras, Poussepin, de Coulanges, Hérouet, de Jaucourt, de Fontenay, de Breteuil and de Soubise. Hôtel Carnavalet houses the museum of the history of Paris.

The Hôtel de Lamoignon, earlier the Hôtel d'Angoulême, is a late 16th-century hôtel particulier, or grand townhouse, in the Marais district of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the best preserved house from this period in Paris. Since 1969 it has been the home of the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris and its garden, Hôtel-Lamoignon - Mark Ashton Garden, is opened to the public.
