Ma Bourgogne (French pronunciation: ​[ma buʁɡɔɲ]) is a bistro in Place des Vosges in the Le Marais district of Paris. It is on the North-West point and is a café in the traditional French style. It has been around for many years and it has been spoken of as one of the best bistros in Paris. Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir came here after escaping from a dangerous protest about Algeria.

The hôtel des Tournelles (French: [otɛl de tuʁnɛl]) is a now-demolished collection of buildings in Paris built from the 14th century onwards north of place des Vosges. It was named after its many 'tournelles' or little towers.It was owned by the kings of France for a long period of time, though they did not often live there. Henry II of France died there in 1559 of wounds he received in a joust. After his death, his widow Catherine de Médici abandoned the building, by then quite derelict and old-fashioned. It was turned into a gunpowder magazine, then sold to finance the construction of the Tuileries, designed and developed to suit the queen's Italian style.

The Place des Vosges (French pronunciation: ​[plas de voʒ]), originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, France. It is located in the Marais district, and it straddles the dividing-line between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris. It was a fashionable and expensive square to live in during the 17th and 18th centuries, and one of the main reasons for the chic nature of Le Marais among the Parisian nobility.

Maison de Victor Hugo is a writer's house museum located where Victor Hugo lived for 16 years between 1832–1848. It is one of the 14 City of Paris' Museums that have been incorporated since January 1, 2013 in the public institution Paris Musées.

The Hôtel Saint-Pol was a royal residence begun in 1360 by Charles V of France on the ruins of a building constructed by Louis IX. It was used by Charles V and Charles VI. Located on the Right Bank, to the northwest of the Quartier de l'Arsenal in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, the residence's grounds stretched from the Quai des Célestins to the Rue Saint-Antoine, and from the Rue Saint-Paul to the Rue du Petit-Musc. It fell into disuse and ruin after the death of Isabeau de Bavière in 1435 and was demolished after François I of France sold it in parts at auction in 1543.

The lycée des Francs-Bourgeois is a private lasallian establishment located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris (Marais). It was founded on November 21,1843 by the De La Salle Brothers. It consists of a school, a college, and a lycée. The Francs-Bourgeois currently teach just over 2000 (from 1500) : 240 students in primary school (8 classes), 1050 in college (33 classes), 720 students in the lycée (23 classes).

Rue des Francs-Bourgeois (pronounced [ʁy de fʁɑ̃ buʁʒwa]) is one of the longer streets in the Marais district of Paris, France.Starting near Centre Georges Pompidou (rue Rambuteau), the road is considered trendy, with numerous fashion boutiques. Rue des Francs-Bourgeois is one of the few streets which largely ignores France's strong tradition of Sunday closure, even within Paris. As such, it is a popular location for weekend brunches and walks. Notable buildings include the ancient hôtels Carnavalet, Lamoignon, Sandreville, d'Albret, d'Alméras, Poussepin, de Coulanges, Hérouet, de Jaucourt, de Fontenay, de Breteuil and de Soubise. Hôtel Carnavalet houses the museum of the history of Paris.

The Synagogue des Tournelles (French: Synagogue de la rue des Tournelles) is an orthodox Jewish synagogue in the Marais district of Paris. It was dedicated on 15 September 1876, which coincided with Jewish New Year celebrations in the month of Tishri. The synagogue is built in Roman-Byzantine style, and has been described as an architectural gem. The internal metallic framework is visible and was created by architect Gustave Eiffel.The original congregation was mostly French Jews from the Alsace and Lorraine regions of eastern France. They were joined later by immigrants from Poland, Russia, and other countries of central Europe.In 1941, the syngagogue was attacked as one of Paris synagogue attacks planned by the far-right Revolutionary Social Movement.

The Hôtel de Lamoignon, earlier the Hôtel d'Angoulême, is a late 16th-century hôtel particulier, or grand townhouse, in the Marais district of the 4th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the best preserved house from this period in Paris. Since 1969 it has been the home of the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris and its garden, Hôtel-Lamoignon - Mark Ashton Garden, is opened to the public.

The Temple du Marais, sometimes known as the Temple Sainte-Marie, or historically, as the Church of Sainte Marie de la Visitation, is a Protestant church located in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, in the district of Le Marais at 17 Rue Saint-Antoine. It was originally built as a Roman Catholic convent by the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, whose sisters were commonly called the Visitandines. The church was closed in the French Revolution and later given to a Protestant congregation which continues its ministry to the present. The closest métro station is Bastille
