Calgary-Nose Creek

MacEwan Glen (commonly known as MacEwan) is a neighbourhood in northwest Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The primarily low-density residential community is the only community that is directly attached to Nose Hill Park and is bounded by Country Hills Boulevard to the north, 14 Street NW to the east, Shaganappi Trail to the west, and Nose Hill Park to the south. Development of the community began in 1978, and was completed in the late 1990s. It was named for John Walter Grant MacEwan, Calgary mayor and Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 3 councillor, Jasmine Mian.

Located northwest of the community of Beddington Heights, this primarily low-density residential community is bounded by Country Hills Boulevard to the north, Beddington Trail to the east, Berkshire Boulevard to the south and 14th Street W to the west. The Nose Hill Park is located southwest from the community. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 4 councillor. Development of this community began in 1982, and was recently completed.

Hidden Valley is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located close to the northern edge of the city, and is bounded by Stoney Trail to the north, Beddington Trail to the east, Country Hills Boulevard to the south, and Shaganappi Trail to the west. Hidden Valley was established in 1990. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 3 councillor.

Evanston is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Located near the north edge of the city, it is bounded by the Kincora community across Shaganappi Trail to the southwest, the Sage Hill community to the west, Sarcee Trail to the west, 144 Avenue N.W. to the north, 14 Street N.W. to the east, and the Panorama Hills and Hidden Valley communities across Stoney Trail to the southeast and south. It is one of five communities located within the Symons Valley area.Evanston is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.

North Haven is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. The community is split by a bus trap into "Lower North Haven" on the south side and "Upper North Haven" on the north side. North Haven was established in 1963. Development of Lower North Haven took place between 1962 and 1971. The development of Upper North Haven started in 1977. Previously the land was primarily cattle grazing ranch land, part of the once vast grazing leases of the city's famed early ranchers, Pat Burns. The community is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 4 Councillor. The neighbourhood has a community association and a community hall to serve its residents. North Haven is bordered on the west/northwest by Nose Hill Park and 14th Street NW, along the south/southeast by John Laurie Boulevard, which separates it from the neighbourhoods of Cambrian Heights and Highwood, and along the east/northeast by Egerts Park, which separates it from the neighbourhood of Thorncliffe.

Brentwood is a neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by John Laurie Boulevard to the north, Crowchild Trail to the south, Shaganappi Trail to the west, and Brisbois Drive & Charleswood Drive on the east. Nose Hill Park lies to the north of John Laurie Boulevard and is not part of Brentwood. Brentwood was established in 1960. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 4 councillor.Brentwood station is in Brentwood and about seven bus lines run through the neighborhood.The Northland Village Mall is located in the western extremity of the neighbourhood. Brentwood was scene to the 2014 Calgary stabbings.
