Hlubočepy is a cadastral district of Prague, Czech Republic. In 2015 it had 22,466 inhabitants. In this cadastral district lies a neighbourhood called Barrandov which is famous for its film studios (Barrandov Studios). The studios are now often called the "European Hollywood" or "Hollywood of the East" because of the increasing interest of western productions (such as the movies Mission Impossible, The Bourne Identity, Casino Royale, Prince Caspian, and many others). The name Barrandov is derived from the fossil-rich rocks which were studied by the French geologist Joachim Barrande.The German name of Hlubočepy is Kohlfelden.

Barrandov Studios is a set of film studios in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the largest film studio in the country and one of the largest in Europe. Several major Hollywood productions have been made here, including Mission Impossible, The Bourne Identity, Casino Royale, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Zookeeper's Wife, and others.

It is situated on and around some rock formations above the Vltava River. Barrandov is known for its film industry and the film studios located in the old part of the district. The Czech national television services Nova and Barrandov TV broadcast from here. Old Barrandov consists of the villa quarter, Barrandov Terraces, and Barrandov Studios, and New Barrandov is located to the west of the old part. Barrandov has a population of about 20,000. A new tram line into New Barrandov was built in 2003. The name Barrandov is derived from the fossil-rich rocks that were studied by French geologist Joachim Barrande. The district was named in honour of Barrande on 24 February 1928.

Barrandov Terraces (Czech: Barrandovské terasy) is a complex of buildings in the southern part of Prague, Czech Republic. It is dominated by the functional view restaurant Terraces (Czech: Terasy) designed by architect Max Urban (1927-31). Barrandov Terraces are a part of the project of Václav M. Havel for the construction of a neighbourhood on the slope of the Habrová hill. The project was inspired by Cliff House near San Francisco. The building is owned by the company Barrandovské terasy, a.s., its major shareholder being Michalis Dzikos.

Braník Bridge (Czech: Branický most), also known as the Bridge of the Intelligentsia (Czech: most Inteligence) is a reinforced-concrete rail bridge with a pedestrian path in Prague, Czech Republic, crossing the Vltava river from Malá Chuchle to the border of Braník and Hodkovičky. The bridge is 910 metres long and 14 metres wide.As a part of Branická spojka (the Braník Branch Line) the structure links the Prague–Pilsen line to the Nusle–Modřany branch line. The walkway links the Braník district to the Malá Chuchle district.

Radlická (Czech pronunciation: [ˈradlɪtskaː]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 26 October 1988 as part of the line extension from Smíchovské nádraží to Nové Butovice.

Radlice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈradlɪtsɛ], German: Radlitz) is a district and cadastral area in the west of Prague, Czech Republic located in Prague 5, with a population of 1,952 (2021). It is bordered by Smíchov to the east and north-east, Košíře to the north-west, Jinonice to the west and Hlubočepy to the south. It became part of Prague in 1922.The area is served by Radlická station on the Prague Metro line B. The metro station along with its adjacent bus terminal was constructed in the 1980s, and markedly changed the character of the neighbourhood, with many old houses from Radlice's time as a village demolished to make way for the new infrastructure. A Jewish cemetery and the chapel of St. John Nepomucene survived the reconstruction of the neighbourhood.

Chuchle battle was a student brawl fought in a Chuchle restaurant on June 29, 1881, resulting in several wounds and a general hangover, a swatch of Czech and German chauvinism in the late 19th century, just before the Charles-Ferdinand University was divided into Czech Charles-Ferdinand University and German Charles-Ferdinand University part in 1882.

MeetFactory is a non-profit organization and contemporary art centre in Prague, Czech Republic. It has four departments (music, theatre, gallery, and artists-in-residence) and the rest of the program is focused on interdisciplinary and educational projects relating to contemporary art.

Braník (sometimes inaccurately called Bráník) is a district in Prague located in the south of the city, on the east bank of the Vltava. It used to be known for its brewery, but the brewery is now out of business as it ceased operations in 2002. Braník borders with Malá Chuchle and Hlubočepy in the west, Podolí in the north, Krč in the east and Lhotka and Hodkovičky in the south.

Jinonice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjɪnoɲɪtsɛ]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 26 October 1988 as part of the line extension from Smíchovské nádraží to Nové Butovice. General reconstruction took place in 2017. The station used to be named Švermova, after the journalist and resistance fighter Jan Šverma.

Sklep Theatre (Czech: Divadlo Sklep) is a theatre in the Czech capital of Prague, founded in 1971 by Milan Šteindler and David Vávra. It is currently based at the Divadlo Dobeška building in Braník.
