Riverdale Collegiate Institute (Riverdale CI, RCI, or Riverdale) is a semestered high school located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada owned and operated by the Toronto Board of Education until its amalgamation in 1998 into the Toronto District School Board.

The Joy Theatre (formerly the Rex Theatre) was a small cinema on Toronto's Queen Street East. When built, during World War I the theatre had just 381 seats. In 1941 it was renovated, adding air conditioning, boosting the number of seats to 427, and changing its name from Rex Theatre to Joy Theatre. The cinema continued to operated for another 12 years. After it stopped operating as a cinema it operated as a strip bar, and as of 2019 it was a restaurant.

St. Matthew's Anglican Church is a church in Riverdale, Toronto, located at 135 First Avenue. It has been listed on the Ontario Heritage Register, pursuant to the Ontario Heritage Act, since October 27, 2009. It was designed by Strickland & Symons, a partnership between Walter Reginald Strickland and William L. Symons.

East Chinatown is a Chinese neighbourhood located in the city of Toronto's east end in Riverdale and one of the several Chinatowns in Toronto. It was formed during the early 1970s and is centred on Gerrard Street East between Broadview Avenue and Carlaw Avenue.

Kempton Howard Park is located in the Blake-Jones area of Riverdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the southwest corner of Strathcona Avenue and Blake Street, directly adjacent to the Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre, home of the Eastview Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada. The park has a variety of outdoor amenities, including a baseball diamond, an outdoor wading pool and a playground. The park's primary use is for baseball games, and has a wired field screen as a part of the baseball diamond, open year-round for the public. The baseball diamond is listed under the Classification C type, given its relatively small size and unirrigated turf.

The Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto is a congregation of the worldwide Metropolitan Community Church movement located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is a welcoming congregation openly affirming lesbian, gay, bisexual, heterosexual and transgender people. MCC Toronto was instrumental in changing the law on same sex marriage in Ontario, when two same-sex marriage ceremonies performed at the church on January 14, 2001 initiated the process leading to the Halpern v Canada (AG) decision of 2003.MCC Toronto is now the largest Metropolitan Community Church congregation in terms of membership. On Christmas Eve and during Pride Toronto, the church holds services at special venues, as the popularity of the events exceed's the church building's capacity. The Christmas service is held at Roy Thomson Hall, while the Pride service is held on Church Street in the heart of the Church and Wellesley village.

De Grassi Street is a side street located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was named after Captain Filippo "Philip" De Grassi, an Italian-born soldier who emigrated to Canada with his family in 1831 and settled in York, Upper Canada. He later became a member of the Family Compact.De Grassi Street is located in south Riverdale, and has a residential character. A number of the homes date back to the 1880s and were built in the distinctive tall, narrow bay-and-gable style. It runs one-way northbound from Queen Street East to Gerrard Street, approximately halfway between Broadview and Carlaw Avenues.

Leslieville is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated east of the Don River. It is bounded by the Canadian National railway line and Gerrard Street to the north, McGee Street to the west, Eastern Avenue to south, and Coxwell Avenue to the east.

Riverdale railway station was located on De Grassi Street just north of Queen Street East in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Constructed by the Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) in 1896 as "Queen East Station", on what is now the Lakeshore East line, the station was renamed "Riverdale Station" in 1907. The Canadian National Railway (CNR) took over the station in 1923, when they absorbed the Grand Trunk Railway. CNR discontinued passenger train service at the station in 1932 and demolished the building in 1974.

The Duke of York, known as the Duke of York Hotel for many years and now as Duke Live, is a historic structure in Leslieville, Toronto, Ontario. It is located at 1225 Queen Street East, at the corner of Queen Street and Leslie Avenue. The building site was originally known as "Uncle Tom's Cabin", presumably after the novel or Ontario site of the same name. A brick structure on the same lot, originally known as the Morin House, was constructed in 1870. The name later changed to the Duke of York Hotel.Originally known as "The Duke of York", the building served as an inn with a restaurant/pub on the main floor. The inn no longer operates, but the restaurant and bar is still in business. For many years a mural of John Wayne was painted on the wall of the first floor of the building's exterior. The original name of this first location is likely for the Duke of York at the time, Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany.

Riverdale is a large neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded by the Don River Valley to the west, Danforth Avenue and Greektown to the north, Jones Avenue, the CN/GO tracks, Leslieville to the east, and Lake Shore Boulevard to the south.

Withrow Park is a 8.5-hectare (21-acre) park in the Riverdale neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Laid out and constructed in the 1910s, at the same time that the surrounding community was built, Withrow Park is among Toronto's large multi-purpose parks. The park is bounded by Carlaw Avenue on the east, Bain Avenue on the south, Logan Avenue on the west and McConnell Avenue on the north. Withrow Park is named after John Jacob Withrow (1833–1900), a local landowner and builder, who also served as a city alderman and was one of the founders of what would become the Canadian National Exhibition.The park gained nationwide notoriety in 2004 when hot dogs laced with carbofuran were left in the park, killing one dog and poisoning 15 others. While the poisonings were under criminal investigation, the City closed most of Withrow Park by surrounding it with a chain-link fence, causing controversy in the neighbourhood. No charges were ever laid.In February 2008, the Toronto Maple Leafs ice hockey team held a practice in Withrow Park, to mark the recent refurbishment of the park's ice rink and related facilities.
