St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is an Episcopal congregation in Oak Harbor, Washington. Known for most of its history as a strongly evangelical church within the Diocese of Olympia, the church played a role in the Anglican realignment when the bulk of the church left the Episcopal Church in 2004 and affiliated with the Diocese of Recife in Brazil. After a decade in which the departing Anglicans and a remnant of Episcopalians shared the church property, the departing group moved to a different location under the name Grace by the Sea Anglican Church.

Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI) (IATA: NUW, ICAO: KNUW, FAA LID: NUW) is a naval air station of the United States Navy located on two pieces of land near Oak Harbor, on Whidbey Island, in Island County, Washington. The main portion of the base, Ault Field, is about three miles north of Oak Harbor. The other section, called the Seaplane base for the PBY Catalina flying boats once based there, holds most of the island's Navy housing as well as the air station's main Navy Exchange and DeCA Commissary. The NASWI commanding officer also has command of a satellite airfield, Naval Outlying Landing Field (NOLF) Coupeville, on central Whidbey Island at 48°11′24″N 122°37′48″W, roughly nine miles south of Ault Field. Primarily used for Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) by carrier-based jets, this field has no permanently assigned personnel. NASWI supports the EA-18G Growler, MH-60S Seahawk, P-8 Poseidon, EP-3E ARIES, and C-40 Clipper aircraft.

Joseph Whidbey State Park is a 112-acre (45 ha) Washington state park in Island County, Washington with 3,100 feet (940 m) of shoreline on the Strait of Juan de Fuca in north Puget Sound. Park activities include picnicking, ADA-accessible hiking, canoeing, crabbing, beachcombing, and birdwatching. A small section of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail crosses through the park.

The Coupeville grain wharf is a wharf built in 1905 in Coupeville, Washington. It was formerly used for exporting grain produced on Whidbey Island. It is a contributing property to the Central Whidbey Island Historic District, registered on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The airfield is owned and operated by the United States Navy. NOLF Coupeville nearly touches State Route 20 and is about 10 miles south of the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
