Steve's Prince of Steaks is a cheesesteak eatery that was founded in 1980 on Bustleton Ave in the Oxford Circle section of Northeast Philadelphia. The eatery has since expanded to three additional locations and is popular among locals. The eatery is known for its melted American cheese and does not chop the meat.

Lexington Park is a neighborhood in the Northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is bounded on the west by Roosevelt Boulevard, and on the north, east and south by Pennypack Park. The neighborhood is made up mostly of twin and single homes built in the years following the Second World War, and a few apartment buildings built not long thereafter. There are some commercial establishments along Rhawn Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. Convenience to the park makes it an attractive location for families with children. Woodrow Wilson Middle School is a historic middle school located in the Castor Gardens neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1892 February, 16. It is a three-story, 15-bay, brick and limestone building in the Classical Revival style. It features a projecting center entrance pavilion, four Doric order columns supporting an entablature, and balustraded parapet. The school was named after the 28th President President of the United States Woodrow Wilson. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.Woodrow Wilson Middle School is a certified International Baccalaureate School since 2012. On November 14, 2017, the school was placed on lockdown at 1:45 PM. There were reports of a gun in the school. Police surrounded the school and went class the class check for anything. Later Officers went class to class dismissing classes. The lockdown was officially over at 5:23 PM. No one was hurt and no gun was found. Woodrow Wilson Middle School was placed on lock down for about two hours on March 15, 2019, because, according to police, a teenage boy brought in three live rounds to the school. The boy is in custody. No weapon was found inside the school and no one was hurt.

Abraham Lincoln High School, a public school located in the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Its main entrance is located at Ryan and Rowland Avenues. The principal is Mr. Jack Nelson. It serves Mayfair, Holmesburg, and Torresdale.

Northeast High School is a high school located at 1601 Cottman Avenue (at Algon Avenue) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Northeast is one of the oldest high schools in Philadelphia, founded in 1890 as the Northeast Manual Training School. Before 1957, it was located at 8th Street and Lehigh Avenue in Philadelphia (later the home of Thomas Edison High School). As of June 2016 Northeast High School had 175 graduating classes. Some of the best known alumni include Lil Uzi Vert (hip hop artist), Herb Adderley (hall of fame football player), Eddie Stanky (major league baseball player and manager), Guy Rodgers (hall of fame basketball player), Brent Grimes (former football cornerback), Carlos Mina from Buenos Aires, Argentina (hall of fame soccer player), Sonny Hill (organizer of Philadelphia summer basketball leagues), Ralph Garman (TV/radio personality & podcaster), & Drew Gulak (WWE Cruiserweight Champion & WWE 24/7 Champion). Northeast serves Rhawnhurst and other sections of Northeast Philadelphia. The high school was featured in the A&E series Teach: Tony Danza, where actor Tony Danza taught a tenth grade English class during the 2009–2010 school year. It was also the setting for Frederick Wiseman's 1968 documentary on high schools titled, simply, High School. Ethan Allen School is a K–8 school located in the Mayfair neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a part of the School District of Philadelphia. The historic school building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1929–1930. It is a three-story, eight-bay, yellow brick building in the Art Deco style. It features an arched entryway with terra cotta trim, terra cotta cornice, and brick parapet. It was named for patriot Ethan Allen. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.Students zoned to Ethan Allen are also zoned to Abraham Lincoln High School.

Hamilton Disston Elementary School is a historic K-8 school located in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1923–1924. It is a three-story, nine-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Colonial Revival style. It features a central projecting entrance pavilion, stone arched surrounds, and stone cornice and brick parapet. The school is named after Hamilton Disston. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Frankford Stadium, also known as Yellow Jacket Field, was a football field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that was the home of the Frankford Yellow Jackets football team of the National Football League, which predated the Philadelphia Eagles. The stadium, located at Frankford Avenue & Devereaux Avenue, was the Yellow Jackets' home from 1923 through 1930. On July 27, 1931, a fire caused major damage to the structure, forcing the Yellow Jackets to play their remaining home games at the Baker Bowl and Municipal Stadium, before disbanding during the 1931 season. The site was purchased in 1933 by the Franklin Legion Athletic Association, who demolished the structure to build the Franklin Legion Athletic Field. When the Frankford Legion AA reorganized as the Northeast Philadelphia AA later that year, the stadium's name was changed to Yellow Trojan Field. As of 2017, a Dollar Tree store and rowhouses occupy the site.

Pennypack is a neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia. It is located between Northeast Philadelphia Airport and Pennypack Park. The Greenbelt Knoll Historic District and Holme Avenue Bridge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Oxford Circle is a neighborhood in the lower Northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Its namesake is the much used traffic circle at Roosevelt Boulevard and Oxford Avenue. The Oxford Circle neighborhood has traditionally included the areas up to Rhawnhurst and Mayfair but does not really have a fixed boundary other than in publications about Philadelphia which are of a public relations or informational nature.Oxford Circle is also the colloquial name for the nearby Summerdale neighborhood, which is located west of Roosevelt Boulevard, opposite the city's Frankford section. However, Summerdale is, for the most part, a different neighborhood than the one that is discussed in this article.
