Stetson House

The Hanover Center Historic District encompasses the historic town center of Hanover, Massachusetts. Established in 1721, the town center includes the town hall, library, and church, as well as its first cemetery and the c. 1700 Stetson House, one of its oldest buildings. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Island Grove Park is a municipal park of the town of Abington, Massachusetts, United States. It consists of a 17-acre (6.9 ha) parcel of land whose principal feature is a peninsula jutting into Island Grove Pond, a 35-acre (14 ha) body of water which was created by impounding the Shumatuscacant River in c. 1700. The area has a significant history, first as an industrial site, then as an amusement park, before it became the wooded park it is now. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 as the Island Grove Park National Register District.

The Indian Head River rises on the southern boundary of Hanover, Massachusetts and northern boundary line of Hanson, Massachusetts at the intersection of tributaries from Drinkwater River in Hanover and Indian Head Brook in Hanson. The river then flows east along the Hanover-Pembroke border. The river, 3.7 miles (6.0 km) long, is a tributary of the North River, which flows into Massachusetts Bay. The Indian Head River was an important fishing and water pathway for the Massachuset Indian village of Mattakeeset which was located around the Pembroke Ponds.

The Cardinal Cushing Centers are a set of education and support facilities for developmentally and intellectually challenged adults and children operated by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. The centers offer education, training, residential and employment services, and recreational facilities on a campus at 369 Washington Street in Hanover, Massachusetts. Opened in 1949 as St. Coletta's by the Sea through the efforts of Archbishop Richard Cushing and with funding from the Kennedy family, the center was one of the first of its kind in the nation, and was renamed in Cushing's honor in 1974. The campus was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Pilgrim Ordnance Works was a magnesium grinding plant located in West Hanover, Massachusetts that operated under contract from the National Fireworks Inc. to produce tracer ammunition materials between 1942 and 1943. Today, the former buildings and industrial yards serve as commercial business and corporate offices. Before the fireworks and ammunition plants were installed, the area was mostly wooded with an anchor and iron forge sitting on Forge Pond near by.

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church is an historic church located in Hanover, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1725 in what is now known as Norwell, an area that was then part of Scituate). It is one of the oldest parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.

Hanover High School is a public school located in Hanover, Massachusetts, United States. It encompasses grades 9–12. Hanover High is a continuation for Hanover Middle School, and before that either Center School or Cedar School. The original Hanover High School building was opened in 1958. The first graduating class was 1959. Sylvester School formerly served as the high school. The current Hanover High School building was opened in 2011.Hanover's colors are blue and gold, and their mascot is the Hawks. Until 2021, HHS's mascot was the Indians, and was changed to the Hawks, thanks to a contest that won against 400 submissions. After another contest, the name "Sylvester" was chosen to be the name of the Hanover Hawk mascot. The name Sylvester goes back to Edmund Q. Sylvester, a prominent resident of Hanover during the later half of the 1800s. The Sylvester family owned land around the old Hanover shipyards, and had their own farm as well. Hanover Crossing (previously the Hanover Mall) is mixed-use development located in Hanover, Massachusetts. It operated from 1971 until 2020 as an indoor shopping mall, and reopened in 2022 after being converted into an outdoor lifestyle center. It is anchored by department store Macy's and grocery store Market Basket. Previous anchors include A.C. Moore, Almy's, Ames, Filene's, JCPenney, Jordan Marsh, Sears, Walmart, Woolworth, and Zayre. The final conversion will combine open-air retail, entertainment and lifestyle space and residential development.

The Tack Factory was a historic industrial facility at 49 Tiffany Road in Norwell, Massachusetts, United States. With its oldest portion dating to 1834, it was the last surviving 19th-century mill building in Norwell prior to its destruction by fire in 1983. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. For most of its history it was used in the manufacture of horse tack equipment.
