Trinity Catholic High School was a Roman Catholic high school in Newton, Massachusetts. It was located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. The school was a co-educational and college preparatory school founded in 1894. The school shut down in 2012, at which point the building that housed its functions was taken over by Cambridge Education Group and established as CATS Academy, a private non-religious school, catering mostly to international students.

The Jackson Homestead, located at 527 Washington Street, in the village of Newton Corner, in Newton, Massachusetts, is an historic house that served as a station on the Underground Railroad before the Civil War. It was built in 1809 in the Federal style by Timothy Jackson (1756–1814) on his family's farm. His son William Jackson (1783–1855) lived in it from 1820 until his death. William Jackson was an abolitionist and was active in politics on the local, state and national levels and served in the United States Congress from 1833 to 1837. The home was occupied by his family until 1932 when it was rented out. In 1949 it was given to the city of Newton and in 1950 the Newton History Museum was established there.

The Potter Estate is a historic estate at 65-71 Walnut Park in Newton, Massachusetts. The centerpiece of the estate is a large Second Empire mansion house which was constructed in 1867 by John Potter, Jr., a shoe and leather businessman. It has a mansard roof characteristic of the style, bracketed eaves, and a single-story wraparound porch that is a later Colonial Revival addition. The estate includes several outbuildings dating to Potter's time, including a carriage house and gardener's cottage; the estate also has period cast iron fencing.The estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Aquinas College was a college in Milton, Massachusetts, and 15 Walnut Park, Newton, Massachusetts. It was closed in 2000. Its Newton campus was then used by The Rashi School, the Boston-area Reform Jewish K-8 Independent School. The school became vacant again when The Rashi School moved to their permanent home in nearby Dedham, Massachusetts, in 2010. In 2015, the city of Newton purchased the property to "house the preschool program and create additional school space to relieve overcrowding and facilities issues at several elementary schools". The Adams Street Shul, officially the Congregation Agudas Achim Anshei Sfard, is a Modern Orthodox Jewish synagogue located at 168 Adams Street in the village of Nonantum in Newton, Massachusetts, in the United States. Built in 1912 for a congregation established in 1911, it is home to Newton's oldest Jewish congregation, and one of the oldest in the region still occupying its original synagogue. Its Romanesque Revival-style building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 16, 1990.

The Crafts Street City Stable is a historic redbrick public works building located at 90 Crafts Street near Ashmont Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts. Designed for $375 by Boston-based architect and Newton resident William F. Goodwin in the Colonial Revival style of architecture, it was built in 1895 for the city of Newton at a cost of $25,000 to serve as additional stable for its then Highway Department. Over the years, it was converted to a city garage and is now called the Crafts Street Garage. It forms the focal point for the city's Department of Public Works complex. On December 18, 2009, the building along with a 20-foot perimeter strip around it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Jonas Salisbury House is a historic house at 62 Walnut Park in Newton, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built about 1847, and was one of four temple-front mansions built in the Newton Corner area. Of these, it is the only one still standing. It has typical hallmarks of the Greek Revival style, with flushboarded facade, corner pilasters, and an entrance flanked by pilasters and set under a pediment. The property also includes a period carriage house. Jonas Salisbury was a significant property owner in Newton.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The house at 115–117 Jewett Street, in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts, is one of the city's finest examples of the academic style of Second Empire design. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built in the 1860s, and features a projecting entry portico, a distinctive feature of the academic variant, and decorated dormers with segmented-arch or round-arch tops. In addition to other well-preserved period details, the property also includes a mansard-roofed carriage house with cupola.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The house at 81–83 Gardner Street is a historic house in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts. The 1+1⁄2-story duplex is remarkably well-preserved example of a vernacular worker's cottage, a style not often found in Newton but somewhat common in Newton Corner. It has a side-gable roof and asymmetrically placed chimneys. The house has a side (originally doubled) entry, and lacks any significant external architectural ornamentation.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The Washington Park Historic District is a historic district in the village of Newtonville, in Newton, Massachusetts. It includes the following properties, dating to between 1870 and 1900: 4 to 97 Washington Park plus 5 and 15 Park Place. The focal point of the district is the city park which is located in the median of the street of the same name. On March 12, 2008, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The John Buckingham House is a historic house at 33–35 Waban Street in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts. Built about 1864, it is a good local example of Second Empire architecture, typical of built at that time for upper middle class commuters to Boston. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
