Milton railway station is a disused railway station in Staffordshire, England. The Stoke–Leek line was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1867. Milton and Endon were the original stations on the line that opened at the same time as the line. Situated on the single track section of the line between Milton Junction (where the line diverged from the Biddulph Valley line) and Endon, the station had only a single platform. Passenger services over the line were withdrawn in 1956 and the station closed. The line through the station continued in use until 1988 for freight services and since 1988 the line has officially been out of use but not closed.

Ford Green Brook flows through Staffordshire and the outlying areas of Stoke-on-Trent, England. It is the first named tributary stream of the River Trent, and is 6.2 miles (10 km) long.

Birches Head is an area of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. Formerly Birches Head Farm, the area has had modern housing built on it. The local secondary school is Birches Head Academy. The Caldon Canal runs through the area, which is easily accessible from the city centre, with main roads such as the A5009, A5008 and A5272. Birches Head Road runs from the junction of Chell Street and Hulton Street, at the west, to Leek Road at the east. It joins Leek Road at the site of the Hulton Abbey. Prior to 1950, the road from St Matthew’s Church, at the highest point of the village, down to Chell Street was called Leonard Road. The central part of the road in the village was Birches Head Road, and the final part running down to Leek Road, which was only a wide dirt track, was known as Birches Head Lane.

Smallthorne Urban District was an urban district in Staffordshire, England. It was initially formed of the Smallthorne civil parish. In 1904 the Chell and Milton civil parishes were added. It was abolished in 1922 with the bulk of it becoming part of the county borough of Stoke-on-Trent. After absorption, the area of the UDC was divided into two wards for election of local councillors. Ward 27 covered Smallthorne, Bradeley, Norton-in-the-Moors, Ball Green, Fegg Hayes, and Brindley Ford. Ward 28 included Milton, Abbey Hulton and Bucknall.

Norton United F.C. was a football club based in Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. They were established in 1989 and joined the Staffordshire Senior League in the same year. They were the Midland League champions three times, North West Counties Football League champions in 2013–14, and were promoted to be members of the Northern Premier League Division One South. On 9 April 2015 it was announced that Norton United would resign from the Northern Premier League at the end of the season and fold.The club's ground was the Norton Cricket Club & Miners Welfare Institute; however' they left that ground mid season due to contractual issues with the owners and played their remaining fixtures at Lyme Valley Stadium, home of Newcastle Town.. They played in black and red striped shirts, black shorts and black socks.

Ford Green & Smallthorne railway station is a disused railway station in Stoke-on-Trent, England.

Ford Green Hall is a Grade II* listed farmhouse and historic house museum in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The oldest parts of the house date from the late 16th century, with one wing being either added or greatly repaired at some point in the early 18th century. In its grounds, there also stands an 18th-century dovecote which shares the listed building status of the main farmhouse.The house stands on land adjacent to the B5051 minor road in the east of Smallthorne. Originally, it stood in 36 acres (150,000 m2) of farmland, but this has been gradually encroached upon over the years so that now it is surrounded by comparatively small grounds. Beyond its grounds there is now housing and a nature reserve.

Norton le Moors is in the north-east of the city of Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, England, mostly within the city boundary, with the rest in the Staffordshire Moorlands district.

Holden Viaduct, in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent, carries the A5272, here called Hanley Road. It spans a cutting through which runs Leek New Road, the A53. On each side of the viaduct is a ramp leading down to the A53. Although it is officially a viaduct, it is quite short and has only one span. It is usually known as "Holden Bridge". It is a notable feature for motorists travelling along Leek New Road, which is perfectly straight here. A plaque on the balustrade reads: City of Stoke-on-Trent, Holden Viaduct. This bridge was opened by Mrs J W Oakes on the 14th July 1930, and was erected to replace the original structure built in 1844. A short way north-east along Leek New Road, at the junction with Berwick Road, there was until recently a pub called The Holden Bridge; it closed in 2007, and has since been demolished.
