King's Cliffe railway station

King's Cliffe (variously spelt Kings Cliffe, King's Cliff, Kings Cliff, Kingscliffe) is a village and civil parish on Willow Brook, a tributary of the River Nene, about 9 miles (14 km) northeast of Corby in North Northamptonshire. The parish adjoins the county boundary with the City of Peterborough and the village is about 12 miles (19 km) west of the city centre. The village is not far from the boundary with Lincolnshire and about 6 miles (10 km) south of Stamford.

King's Cliffe Banks is a 7.7-hectare (19-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in King's Cliffe in Northamptonshire.This former quarry has undulating calcareous grassland which is grazed by rabbits and cattle. It has a rich variety of flora, including sheep's fescue, dwarf thistle, mouse-ear hawkweed, wild thyme and common rock-rose. There are many bryophytes and lichens.There is access to the site by a footpath from Bridge Street.

Collyweston Great Wood and Easton Hornstocks is a 151.5-hectare (374-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of King's Cliffe in Northamptonshire. The site is a National Nature Reserve and a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I. The site is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) west of Peterborough and the nearest villages are Collyweston, which is 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) north west of the site, and Duddington which is a similar distance to the west.

Royal Air Force Kings Cliffe or more simply RAF Kings Cliffe is a former Royal Air Force satellite station located near Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire, 12 miles (19 km) west of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The airfield was built with hard-surfaced runways and a perimeter track, these were extended early in 1943.

Fineshade Wood is a large wooded area in the county of Northamptonshire in the English East Midlands region. The wood is managed by the Forestry England and is part of the former royal hunting forest of Rockingham Forest. The wood is located east of the A43 road between Stamford and Corby. It is a former deer park. Part of it is publicly owned, and part leased by Forestry England. It has a visitor centre at Top Lodge; and also houses Forestry England offices. Fineshade was in East Northamptonshire district and is roughly 25 miles (40 km) from Rushden, the largest town of the district, and about 15 miles (24 km) from Thrapston, the administrative centre of the district. It is known for its population of red kites, and a Red Kite Centre was opened there in 2001. It also has adders and other reptiles as well as scarce breeding birds including nightingale, nightjar, woodcock, grasshopper warbler, tree pipit, marsh and willow tits. Dormice have been recorded together with great crested and palmate newts. The site has a caravan and motorhome park which is open from Easter to October.

RAF Collyweston is a former Royal Air Force satellite station located 3.2 miles (5.1 km) south west of Stamford, Lincolnshire and 11 miles (18 km) north east of Corby, Northamptonshire, England. The airfield was a satellite station of RAF Wittering and used by the Enemy Aircraft Flight during the Second World War.

Duddington is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Duddington-with-Fineshade, in the North Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. It is by the junction of the A47 and A43 roads, and is 9 kilometres (6 mi) southwest of the town of Stamford. The village is on the east bank of the River Welland which is the county boundary of Rutland. In 1961 the parish had a population of 184.

Easton on the Hill was a rural district in Northamptonshire, England from 1894 to 1935. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from that part of the Stamford rural sanitary district which was in Northamptonshire proper (other successor districts were Uffington Rural District in Lincolnshire, Ketton Rural District in Rutland, and Barnack Rural District in the Soke of Peterborough). It consisted of the three parishes of Collyweston, Duddington and Easton on the Hill. The district was abolished in 1935 under a County Review Order, becoming part of the new Oundle and Thrapston Rural District.

Collyweston Slate Mine is a 0.9-hectare (2.2-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest Northamptonshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This slate mine was operated until 1963, quarrying Collyweston slate, which dates to the Jurassic. The shaft exposes a section described by Natural England as "stratigraphically important", and it is the type locality for the slate.The site is private land with no public access.

Bonemills Hollow is a 17.5-hectare (43-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Wittering in Cambridgeshire.The valley has marsh and Jurassic calcareous grassland areas. The marshland is on the valley floor, and dominant species are lesser pond-sedge and the rushes Juncus articulatus and Juncus inflexus. Areas of scrub and willow carr provide additional habitats for invertebrates and birds.The site is private land with no public access.

Collyweston is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, about three miles southwest of Stamford, Lincolnshire, on the road (the A43) to Kettering. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 514.

Tixover is a small village and civil parish in Rutland. The population of the civil parish at the 2001 census was 174, falling to 163 at the 2011 census.The village's name means 'ridge with young goats'. The second element derives from either the Old English 'ofer' and 'ora', which both mean ridge.The parish is on the River Welland which is the county boundary with Northamptonshire. Most of the houses in the parish are east of the A47 road. St Luke's Church, near the River Welland, now stands about 3/4 mile from the village. The church is a Grade II* listed building.Tixover Grange, west of the A47, was home to the residential school named after Wilfred Pickles from 1955 to the 1980s. Tixover House is now a care home, run by Barchester Healthcare.Tixover Quarry is a popular off-road driving centre, which is used by Land Rover Owner Magazine for vehicle tests and photo shoots.
