Chapeltown is a suburb of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. It is part of the Parish of Ecclesfield. It is historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire.

Chapeltown railway station, originally known as Chapeltown South, is a railway station serves the Sheffield suburb of Chapeltown in South Yorkshire, England. The station is 7.25 miles (12 km) north of Sheffield on the Hallam and Penistone Lines.

Chapeltown Academy is a free school sixth form located in the Chapeltown area of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It's the first free school approved and opened in Sheffield.Established in 2014, Chapeltown Academy offers A-level courses to students. It is located in a purpose-designed building at the Hydra Business Park. It was previously based at Thorncliffe Hall in the Thorncliffe Industrial Estate.

Ecclesfield Priory was a religious house of Benedictine monks, lying in the village of Ecclesfield, north of Sheffield in Yorkshire, England.

The Church of St Mary, Ecclesfield, is situated on Church Street in the village of Ecclesfield, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is situated 4.3 miles (7 km) north of the city centre. It is a Grade I listed building, one of only five within the Sheffield city boundary. It was originally the parish church for Hallamshire, one of the largest parishes in England and in the seventeenth century was known as the "Minster of the Moors" due to its then rural situation.

East Ecclesfield ward—which includes the districts of Chapeltown and Ecclesfield—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, England. It is located in the northern part of the city and covers an area of 3.8 square miles (9.8 km2) in the eastern part of Ecclesfield Parish. The population of this ward in 2011 was 18,295 people in 7,863. East Ecclesfield is one of the six wards that make up the Sheffield Hillsborough Parliamentary constituency. The Boundary Commission for England, in their final report, recommended that East Ecclesfield should become part of a reformed Penistone and Stocksbridge constituency. The East Ecclesfield ward is composed of eight polling districts. These include Blackburn, Chapeltown, Ecclesfield, Ecclesfield Common, High Greave, Horbury, Warren and Wheata.

Ecclesfield is a village and civil parish in the City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, about 4 miles (6 km) north of Sheffield City Centre. Ecclesfield civil parish had a population of 32,073 at the 2011 Census. Ecclesfield wards of the City of Sheffield had a population of 35,994 in 2011 (Ecclesfield West and Ecclesfield East wards). The population of Ecclesfield village stood at 7,163 in the most recent census.

Ecclesfield West railway station was a railway station in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The station served the communities of Ecclesfield and Shiregreen and was situated on the Midland Railway, lying between Chapeltown and Brightside. The station was opened in 1897 along with the line from Wincobank Junctions to Cudworth. It was initially known as Ecclesfield, but was renamed in 1950 to avoid confusion with the Ecclesfield East railway station. It closed in 1967, although it was later used for excursions until 1968.

Chapeltown Central railway station was situated on the former South Yorkshire Railway's Blackburn Valley line between Ecclesfield East and Westwood. The station which was also known as Chapeltown and Thorncliffe was intended to serve Chapeltown, South Yorkshire, England, although about 1 mile (1.6 km) from its centre. It also served the works of Newton, Chambers & Company, one of the largest industrial companies in the area. The original station which was mainly constructed of wood opened in 1854. The line at the time was only a single track and this was increasingly recognised as a bottle neck so plans were made to double this which began in 1875 and a new larger station was to be built on the north side of the track. The new station was built in the M.S.& L.R.'s Double Pavilion style and the building consisted of a station master's house, booking office, goods office, and first, second and third class waiting rooms. In order to make room for this an existing goods warehouse was demolished. The short single line platform was replaced by a double (up and down line) platform, an iron footbridge was constructed linking the two platforms and a new approach road built from the Sheffield-Barnsley turnpike road. The newly built station was officially opened to passengers on 5 November 1877. In 1875 during excavations 150 yards east of the station by navvies who were employed to double the track between Grange Lane and Chapeltown they came across the fossilised tree stump of a Giant Club Moss which would have grown tens of metres tall. It was originally taken and displayed at High Hazels park in Darnall before being transferred to the Sheffield Botanical Gardens in the 1980s where it can still be seen today. Closure to passengers came on 7 December 1953 and to all traffic in April 1954. The station is now a private residence.

Whitley Hall is a 16th-century mansion which since 1969 has been converted into a restaurant and then a hotel. It is situated in the northern rural district of the City of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, England. The small hamlet of Whitley lies in the countryside between the suburbs of Grenoside, Chapeltown and Ecclesfield some 7.5 km (4.7 mi) north of the city centre. The hall is a Grade II* listed building.

Ecclesfield East railway station was built by the South Yorkshire Railway on their "Blackburn Valley" line between Sheffield Wicker and Barnsley. The station was intended to serve the parish of Ecclesfield, near Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, although it is some distance from the centre of the village. The original "Ecclesfield" railway station was opened in September 1854 and closed just two years later. It was replaced by a new station opened in 1876, with buildings and staggered platforms linked by a footbridge and cost £1985 (including sidings and approach road). These buildings are identical to those at Meadowhall although it had staggered platforms. By this time the line was worked by the Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway and the trains ran into their Sheffield Victoria Station. The station closed on 7 December 1953 and has been completely dismantled. The nearby station of Ecclesfield West was initially also known as Ecclesfield.

St Paul's Church is situated within the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, in the suburb of Parson Cross on Wordsworth Avenue. St Paul's is a modern looking post war church which has been designated as a Grade II* listed building.
