Calverley is a village in the City of Leeds metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England, on the A657 road, about ten miles (16 km) from Leeds city centre and four miles (7 km) from Bradford, and lying north of the town of Pudsey. The population of Calverley in 2011 was 4,328. It is part of the City of Leeds ward Calverley and Farsley, with a population of 22,594 at the 2011 Census.

Woodhouse Grove School ('The Grove') is a private, co-educational, day and boarding school and Sixth Form. it is located to the north of Apperley Bridge, West Yorkshire, England (Apperley Bridge is located in the City of Bradford, however the school is located just over the municipal border in the City of Leeds). The school, and its preparatory junior school, Brontë House, is located in the Aire Valley. There are approximately 1,000 students on roll, currently including around 90 boarders. The school was founded as an all-boys boarding preparatory institution, for the sons of Methodist Ministers. It developed over the latter part of the 20th century. Woodhouse Grove has evolved into an independent education centre, providing education from the age of three through to graduation from the sixth form.

Eccleshill Adventure Playground (organisation renamed PlayBradford in 2020), locally known as The Big Swing, is an Adventure playground that has operated in Eccleshill Park, Bradford, West Yorkshire since 2006. It is located beside the Ravenscliffe estate and provides open access adventure play for children and young people from five to sixteen years old. Most sessions however are for ages five to thirteen years old. The playground is staffed by playworkers and runs a mobile play programme in deprived areas and a playworker apprentice programme.Much like a school would, the charity needs to know emergency contact details for children that attend, whether this is for a one-off or regular attendance so as to be able to contact a responsible adult who lives with the child after the child has attended (e.g. to follow up after an incident that took place, or for track and trace purposes).

Greengates is a small suburban area in the north-east of the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, in England. The area is bordered by Idle and Thackley to the north-west, and the large council estate known as Thorpe Edge to the west. To the south of Greengates is Ravenscliffe housing estate with the village of Eccleshill beyond that. The village of Apperley Bridge lies to the north. To the east in the Leeds Metropolitan District is the village of Calverley.

Apperley Bridge is a village in the metropolitan borough of the City of Bradford, in West Yorkshire, England in the Idle and Thackley Ward. Apperley Bridge is north-east of Bradford on the boundary with the City of Leeds bounded in the east by Carr Beck and to the south by Greengates. The village straddles the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the River Aire. It takes its name from the old bridge over the river on Apperley Lane. Parts of Rawdon in Leeds of similar character are included in the BD10 Apperley Bridge postal district.

Calverley Old Hall is a medieval manor house with Grade I listed building status situated at Calverley, West Yorkshire, England.

Apperley Bridge station is situated in Bradford on the (Leeds and Bradford, later Midland) line between Leeds and Shipley, West Yorkshire, England. It serves the district of Apperley Bridge in the north-east of the city. The station opened in 2015. A previous station with the same name was opened in a different location in 1846 but closed in 1965 as part of the Beeching Axe.

Ravenscliffe is a housing estate in the Eccleshill ward of the city of Bradford District, in the English county of West Yorkshire. Ravenscliffe is located to the west of Fagley Beck and to the east of the A658 Harrogate Road. The buildings that were Ravenscliff farmhouse are situated off to the south in Fagley while Ravenscliffe Woods are in Pudsey to the south east.On 10th of July 2001, Ravenscliffe was subject to rioting on the estate, this was just after the Manningham riots. Now, Ravenscliffe has a large newly built housing development, two shops and an Indian takeaway. The Gateway centre which is adjacent to the shops, as a pre-school nursery and the centre also helps the disadvantaged, elderly and vulnerable tenants of the community.

The Apperley Viaducts are two adjacent railway viaducts straddling the River Aire in West Yorkshire, England. The open viaduct dates back to 1900, carrying the current double track Airedale line railway, whereas the redundant adjacent viaduct (to the immediate west) dates back to 1867, and was built to replace the original bridge at this point which collapsed in November 1866 due to severe flooding. The viaducts are two of the many railway crossings of the River Aire between Shipley and Leeds.

Eccleshill railway station was a railway station in Eccleshill, West Yorkshire, England.

Rawdon Baptist College, or simply Rawdon College, was a Baptist institution in West Yorkshire that trained missionaries.

Esholt Sewage Works Railway was a standard gauge works railway constructed in 1910 to serve a sewage works in Esholt, West Yorkshire, England. The works were built to remove wool-grease and other wastes from effluent coming out of the many mills of the Bradford woollen district. At its peak, the railway extended to 22 miles (35 km) of track served by 11 locomotives, as well as a shorter section of narrow gauge railway served by three engines. Trains were employed to remove solid waste from the site; several of the engines were converted to run on oil derived from recovered wool-grease. The railway was closed completely in 1977, but the sewage works continues to operate.
