Elford railway station

Elford is a village and civil parish in Lichfield District, Staffordshire, England. It is on the east bank of the River Tame, about 5 miles (8 km) east of the City of Lichfield and 5 miles north of Tamworth.

The church is situated on the eastern edge of the village on the north bank of the River Tame. The church is a Grade II* Listed Building. A church has stood on the current site since Norman times but the current building predominantly dates from the mid-19th century.

The River Mease is a lowland clay river in the Midlands area of England. It flows through the counties of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire and forms the administrative border between these counties for parts of its length. The river and the lower part of one of its tributaries, the Gilwiskaw Brook (pronounced jill-a-whiskey) are both protected as "one of the best examples of an unspoilt meandering lowland river". The river receives protection under European Union law as a Special Area of Conservation (SAC); and protection under UK law as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Croxall Hall is a restored and extended 16th century manor house situated in the small village of Croxall, Staffordshire (close to the southeastern border with Derbyshire and historically part of it). It is a Grade II* listed building. The manor of Croxall was owned by the Curzon Family, who rebuilt the old manor house in the late 16th century.

Edingale is a village and civil parish in Lichfield District, Staffordshire, England. It lies on the River Mease, around 7 miles (11 km) north of Tamworth. Historically, the village is shared with Derbyshire. In 2001 the parish had a population of 598, increasing to 632 at the 2011 census.

Whitemoor Haye (grid reference SK1813) is a mainly agricultural area in the floodplain of the River Tame, near Alrewas in Staffordshire, England. It is very popular with birdwatchers, as several rare species are either resident or seasonal visitors, notably the corn bunting. The remains of several woolly rhinoceroses were recovered from a quarry here in 2002.There is an airfield, for light aircraft such as microlights.

Historically part of the parish of Wigginton, it is now within the Wigginton and Hopwas civil parish in the district of Lichfield. There is an Anglican church in the village, dedicated to St Mary and St George.
