Comberford

Wigginton and Hopwas is a civil parish in Lichfield District, Staffordshire, England. The villages of Wigginton and Hopwas, that make up the parish, lie 2 miles to the north and north-west, respectively, of Tamworth. They are separated by the River Tame, the Coventry Canal and the West Coast Main Line. The parish also includes the hamlet of Comberford. The civil parish is based on the old ecclesiastical parish of Wigginton; Hopwas had been part of the parish of Tamworth. It contains several listed buildings, including churches at Wigginton and at Hopwas, farms and houses, and even a listed milepost in Hopwas.

Fisherwick is a civil parish in Lichfield District, Staffordshire, England. Located about 4 miles (6 km) east of the City of Lichfield, the parish does not include a village, just a scattered collection of farms and houses. The ancient settlement, dating back to the 12th century, and the manor of Fisherwick Park no longer exist. The parish council is a joint one with Whittington.

Tamhorn is a rural location in Staffordshire, England, 2½ miles north-west of Tamworth. It was an extra-parochial area in Offlow hundred until 1858, when it became a civil parish. It was annexed to Fisherwick parish in 1934. It had an area 770 acres. The population was 5 in 1841 and 19 in 1931, the last census before its annexation.It lies in the valley of the river Tame adjacent to the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal. The name Tamhorn is Old English meaning a bend in the river Tame or specifically the horn of land formed by the bend.It was mentioned in the Domesday Book (1086) as part of the Bishop of Lichfield's manor. By the later 17th century the settlement consisted only of the manor house, the predecessor of the present Tamhorn Park Farm. Tamhorn was an estate containing 108 acres of woodland and a farm of over 500 acres, which was not included in any parish. In 1827 the estate was bought by Sir Robert Peel, later Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The house on the estate, now known as Tamhorn Park Farm, was built in the early 18th century in a L-shape, but later that century it was enlarged changing the shape to a square.

The seat is currently represented by Sarah Edwards of the Labour Party, following a by-election in October 2023. It was previously held by Chris Pincher of the Conservative Party, who held the seat from 2010 to 2023, when he resigned. He had been suspended from the party since July 2022.

Leyfields is a housing estate in Tamworth, Staffordshire, consisting of 3-storey flats, maisonettes, bungalows and houses. It was built in the 1960s as a postwar housing estate. It joins the Gillway estate, Claremont Road estate and Coton Green. The estate has St Andrew's Methodist church, a Community Centre, shops and Wigginton Park, the home to Tamworth Rugby Union Football Club. Leyfields is also part of the Staffordshire County Council division of Perry Crofts and the Tamworth Borough Council ward of Mercian.

Gillway is a council estate in Tamworth, United Kingdom built in the 1950s. It is a small suburb consisting of brick and concrete houses and two storey flats. It has a local school called Flaxhill and a pub called the Tam 'o' Shanter. It also has shops opposite the pub, and is near the Leyfields and the Perrycrofts estates. Footballer Tony Coton was born in gillway at his parents home 21 Hawthorne avenue on May 19, 1961,he also played his junior football for Gillway Boys Club and his school team Flax Hill CP

Elford is a village and civil parish in Lichfield District, Staffordshire, England. It is on the east bank of the River Tame, about 5 miles (8 km) east of the City of Lichfield and 5 miles north of Tamworth.

Hopwas is a village in Staffordshire, England. It lies along the North West borders of Tamworth Borough (along the River Tame to the east and Dunstall Lane to the south of Hopwas) and 5 miles (8 km) east of Lichfield. It is situated where the A51 road crosses both the River Tame and the Coventry Canal. Although adjacent to the Borough of Tamworth, the village is part of the parish of Wigginton and Hopwas within Lichfield District.

St Peter's Church, Elford is a parish church in the village of Elford, Staffordshire in the United Kingdom. The church is situated on the eastern edge of the village on the north bank of the River Tame. The church is a Grade II* Listed Building. A church has stood on the current site since Norman times but the current building predominantly dates from the mid-19th century.

St Chad's Church is in the village of Hopwas, Staffordshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Tamworth, the archdeaconry of Lichfield and the diocese of Lichfield. Its benefice is combined with those of St Editha, Tamworth, St Francis, Leyfields, and St Andrew, Kettlebrook. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
