Auburn University at Montgomery

Amridge University is a private university affiliated with the Churches of Christ with its main campus in Montgomery, Alabama. It was previously known as Alabama Christian School of Religion, Southern Christian University, and Regions University, and is a successor institution to Alabama Christian College. Founded in 1967 as the Alabama Christian School of Religion, its primary function historically has been as a theological seminary to train ministers in Bible and Christian Counseling. However, Amridge has expanded its curricula to other degrees. Seminary training offered by the Turner School of Theology, named in honor of founder Rex Allwin Turner Sr. and his wife Opal Shipp Turner, continues to be a core undertaking, with all levels of ministry and theological degrees available.

The Shoppes at EastChase is the principal retail component of the EastChase mixed-use development located in Montgomery, Alabama at the intersection of Interstate 85 and Taylor Road on the east side of the city. The Shoppes at EastChase was the catalyst in attracting higher-end national and regional retailers to the Montgomery metropolitan area and the Central Alabama region. The lifestyle center itself opened November 2002, with numerous in-line tenants, including Talbot's, Ann Taylor, The Gap and Banana Republic, while the anchor retailer, Dillard's, opened a two-level 157,339-square-foot (14,617.3 m2) store March 2004. This store replaced one at Montgomery Mall. Book and media retailer Books-A-Million functions as junior anchor at 14,400 square feet (1,340 m2), while defunct home furnishings retailer Linens 'n Things previously occupied a 27,984-square-foot (2,599.8 m2) junior anchor pad in a different section of the lifestyle center now occupied by DSW Shoes. An outparcel was developed for home furnishings retailer Rooms To Go, which opened a 7,000-square-foot (650 m2) store south of the main entrance drive. There are several casual dining facilities in the Shoppes at EastChase, including Bonefish Grill and Zoës Kitchen. The Shoppes at EastChase has a gross leasable area of 350,000 square feet (33,000 m2) and currently features fifty merchants. In August 2016, it was announced that fast fashion retailer H&M will develop a 22,000 square foot junior anchor space in the lifestyle center component of EastChase. By June 2017, original tenants Banana Republic, Ann Taylor and Williams-Sonoma closed their EastChase locations in order to create retail space for the retailer. Expected to open during fall, Eastchase is extending a new area to include a relocated Best Buy, Burlington, Panda Express, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, Jersey Mike’s Subs and Great Clips. Two additional open-air power and convenience centers complement the retail component of the EastChase development: The 325,907-square-foot (30,277.8 m2) Plaza At EastChase and the larger 513,688-square-foot (47,723.2 m2) EastChase Market Center. The Plaza At EastChase is tenanted with (then) new to the market big box stores such as Target, World Market, Kohl's and PetSmart. EastChase Market Center features numerous big box retailers and eateries that have relocated from declining strip mall locations along nearby East Boulevard, among them Bed Bath & Beyond(now closed) and Michaels arts and crafts supply store. Wholesale warehouse club Costco operates a location adjacent to EastChase Market Center. Originally developed by Jim Wilson and Associates, The Shoppes At EastChase is currently owned by JPMorgan Chase and managed by Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors.

Frazer Church is a Free Methodist megachurch located at 6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama. It has 4,055 members with a mission to "Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the hope of the world".

The Alabama Public Library Service is the official state library agency of Alabama located in Montgomery, Alabama. They assist all established public libraries and advise communities that may want to establish public libraries. They also provide library services to state employees, and administer the Alabama Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (BPH).

Woodmere, since 1976, is a developed neighborhood subdivision located six miles east of downtown Montgomery, Alabama. As of 2006 the medium density area includes a variety of nearly 800 homes. Adjacent apartment complexes are outside the neighborhood.

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is a museum located in Montgomery, Alabama, USA, featuring several art collections. The permanent collection includes examples of 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and sculpture, Southern regional art, Old Master prints and decorative arts. It is also home to Artworks, a participatory art gallery and studio for children. The current building was designed by the Montgomery architectural firm of Barganier, Davis, and Sims and opened in 1988. An addition was completed in 1993.

Eastdale Mall is a regional enclosed shopping mall located in Montgomery, Alabama. It opened on August 3, 1977. As of 2010, it was 964,717 square feet (89,625.1 m2) in size. The anchor stores are At Home, JCPenney, Dillard's, and 2 Belk stores.

WXFX (95.1 FM, "95.1 The Fox") is an American radio station licensed to serve the community of Prattville, Alabama. The station, established in 1977 as WQIM, is currently owned by Cumulus Media and the broadcast license is held by Cumulus Licensing LLC. The WXFX studios are located on the 3rd floor of The Colonial Financial Center in downtown Montgomery, and the transmitter tower is in Montgomery's northeast side.

WLWI-FM (92.3 FM, "I-92") is a radio station licensed to serve Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and the broadcast license is held by Cumulus Licensing, Inc. The WLWI studios are located on the third floor of The Colonial Financial Center in downtown Montgomery, and the transmitter tower is in Montgomery's northeast side.

WLBF (89.1 FM, "Faith Radio") is a non-commercial radio station licensed to serve Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The station is owned by Faith Broadcasting, Inc. It airs a religious radio format.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF) is among the ten largest Shakespeare festivals in the world. The festival is permanently housed in the Carolyn Blount Theatre in Montgomery, Alabama. ASF puts on 6-9 productions annually, typically including three works of William Shakespeare. Other plays sample various genres and playwrights, classical and modern, sometimes with an emphasis on Southern works. ASF's Southern Writers Project nurtures the creation of new plays that reflect Southern themes. The festival stages more than 400 performances each year that attract more than 300,000 visitors from throughout the United States and more than 60 countries.

For the Methodist institution in Birmingham, Alabama of the same name that existed 1866-1923 see Sherman Industrial Institute Central Alabama Academy was a segregation academy in Montgomery, Alabama in 1970. The school opened at 3152 Debby Drive, Montgomery and subsequently moved to 6010 Vaughn Road, Montgomery. The site was taken over by Saint James School. The school adopted the name of a Methodist institution in Birmingham of the same name that existed 1866-1923. There is no evidence that this school was associated with the Methodist Church.
