Central Alabama Academy

Saint James School is an independent, nonsectarian, college preparatory school located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. Established in 1955, Saint James School, Montgomery's oldest private school, serves about 900 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School (MCPS) is a K-12 Catholic school in Montgomery, Alabama on three campuses. It is governed by the Archdiocese of Mobile. Founded in 1873, it is the oldest private K-12 school in Alabama.

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is a museum located in Montgomery, Alabama, USA, featuring several art collections. The permanent collection includes examples of 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and sculpture, Southern regional art, Old Master prints and decorative arts. It is also home to Artworks, a participatory art gallery and studio for children. The current building was designed by the Montgomery architectural firm of Barganier, Davis, and Sims and opened in 1988. An addition was completed in 1993.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF) is among the ten largest Shakespeare festivals in the world. The festival is permanently housed in the Carolyn Blount Theatre in Montgomery, Alabama. ASF puts on 6-9 productions annually, typically including three works of William Shakespeare. Other plays sample various genres and playwrights, classical and modern, sometimes with an emphasis on Southern works. ASF's Southern Writers Project nurtures the creation of new plays that reflect Southern themes. The festival stages more than 400 performances each year that attract more than 300,000 visitors from throughout the United States and more than 60 countries.

Woodmere, since 1976, is a developed neighborhood subdivision located six miles east of downtown Montgomery, Alabama. As of 2006 the medium density area includes a variety of nearly 800 homes. Adjacent apartment complexes are outside the neighborhood.

Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School, colloquially known as BrewTech, is an American high school that received the Blue Ribbon Schools Program in 2009. Brewbaker serves students in grades 9 through 12. Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School opened in August 2000 as a product of a partnership between Montgomery County Public Schools, the Montgomery City Council, and the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce with funding from a series of federal and local grants. The school was also ranked #8 in Alabama as a top high school and #108 in the nation for the 2011-2012 school year. Brewtech also constantly wins Vex Robotics competitions and has many robots qualifying for state and worlds competitions each year. The school's biggest rival is Hazel Green in the Robotics program and LAMP in other competitions.

They assist all established public libraries and advise communities that may want to establish public libraries. They also provide library services to state employees, and administer the Alabama Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (BPH).

Loveless Academic Magnet Program High school, known as LAMP High School, is a magnet high school in Montgomery, Alabama. It was housed in the former Loveless School. It has a student body of around 500 students. LAMP was originally part of Sidney Lanier High School, became a separate school and moved further into West Montgomery in the 2000s, and then temporarily resided in the old Houston Hill Middle School near downtown Montgomery before moving to the old Montgomery Mall off of South Boulevard in 2017.

Montgomery Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. Opened in 1970, it closed in 2008 after several years of declining traffic. In February 2013, redevelopment began on the vacant mall property. There are 3 vacant anchor stores that were once Steve & Barry's, JCPenney, and Parisian.

Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is a public university in Montgomery, Alabama. Established by an act of the Alabama Legislature in 1967, it is governed by the Auburn University Board of Trustees as a member of the Auburn University system. AUM offers more than 90 programs of study leading to bachelor's, master's, specialist, and doctoral degrees. As of 2018, the university enrolled more than 5,200 students.
