Parpaner Rothorn

The Aroser Rothorn is the highest mountain of the Plessur Alps. It is located between Arosa and Lenzerheide in the canton of Graubünden and with a summit elevation of 2,980 metres above sea level. The summit lies near the Parpaner Rothorn, which is served by a cable car.

Arosa Lenzerheide is a ski area located in Arosa, Lenzerheide, Valbella, Parpan and Churwalden, Graubünden/Switzerland. It originated 2013/14 by connecting the existing ski areas of Arosa and Lenzerheide. With a total of 225 kilometers (140 miles) of ski slopes and 43 cable cars it is the largest contiguous ski area in Graubünden.

The Plessur Alps are a mountain range in the Alps of eastern Switzerland. They are considered to be part of the Western Rhaetian Alps. They are named after the river Plessur, which originates from the center of the ranges. The Plessur Alps are separated from the Glarus Alps in the west by the Rhine valley; from the Rätikon range in the north by the Landquart river valley (Prättigau); from the Albula Alps in the south-east by the Landwasser river valley; from the Oberhalbstein Alps in the south by the Albula river valley. The Plessur Alps are drained by the rivers Rhine, Plessur, Landwasser and Landquart. The ski resort Arosa lies in the middle of the range. Peaks of the Plessur Alps are the Aroser Rothorn (highest, 2,985 m (9,793 ft)) and Stätzer Horn (2,576 m (8,451 ft)). A mountain pass in the Plessur Alps is the Strela Pass, from Davos to Langwies, elevation 2,377 m (7,799 ft).

The Parpaner Schwarzhorn is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, overlooking Parpan in the canton of Graubünden. It lies north of the Parpaner Weisshorn.

The Lenzerhorn (also spelled Lenzer Horn) is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, located east of Lenzerheide in the canton of Graubünden. It has an elevation of 2,906 metres and is, after the Aroser Rothorn, the second highest peak of the Plessur Alps.

Lenzerheide is the common name of a passage past a high mountain pass in the Alps in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland, reaching summit at 1549 m between Valbella and Parpan, approximately 5 kilometers south of the resort of Lenzerheide. The road connects Chur in the valley of the Rhine and Tiefencastel in the valley of the Albula, which is actually a tributary to the Rhine. The pass nevertheless offered a shortcut which additionally avoided the gorge "Schinschlucht" with its difficult terrain in the past. Nowadays most traffic to Tiefencastel would use the A13 motorway to Thusis to get to Tiefencastel on a main road. The Lenzerheide road has a maximum grade of 11 percent and is open year-round, though road conditions frequently necessitate winter tires, especially between December and March. Due to the local settlements nobody ever bothered to call the summit near Lenzerheide a mountain pass nor would an official document call it a pass. It will also not appear on road pass opening charts.The mountain Piz Scalottas (el 2321 m.) offers a good view to overlook both routes via Lenzerheide or the Schinschlucht gorge. If you climbed the Lenzerheide pass road by mountain bike, the chairlift to Piz Scalottas will transport your mountain bike for free to the summit.

The Älpliseehorn is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, located south of Arosa in Graubünden. It is part of the range east of the Aroser Rothorn. On the north side of the mountain lies the Älplisee.

Parpan Castle is a castle in the municipality of Churwalden of the Canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The Guggernell is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, located south of Arosa in the canton of Graubünden. It lies west of the Guggernellgrat.

The Aroser Weisshorn is a mountain of the Plessur Alps, overlooking Arosa in the canton of Graubünden. A two-stage cable car links the top of the mountain with the town and resort of Arosa — the base station is near to Arosa railway station.
