Kohama Station

Higashi-Kohama Station (東粉浜駅, Higashi-Kohama Eki) is a station in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka, Japan on the Hankai Tramway Hankai Line. The station is about 10m east from Kohama Station on the Nankai Main Line.

Sumiyoshi-taisha (住吉大社), also known as Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine, is a Shinto shrine in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is the main shrine of all the Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan. However, the oldest shrine that enshrines the Sumiyoshi sanjin, the three Sumiyoshi kami, is the Sumiyoshi Shrine in Hakata. It is called Sumiyoshi-san or Sumiyossan by the locals, and is famous for the large crowds that come to the shrine on New Year's Day for hatsumōde. Sumiyoshi taisha enshrines the Sumiyoshi sanjin (Sokotsutsu no Ono-mikoto, Nakatsutsu no Ono-mikoto, and Uwatsutsu no Ono-mikoto) (collectively known as the "Sumiyoshi Ōkami") and Okinagatarashi-hime no Mikoto (Empress Jingū). It gives its name to a style of shrine architecture known as Sumiyoshi-zukuri.

Tezukayama Kofun (帝塚山古墳) is a Kofun period keyhole-shaped burial mound, located in the Tezukayama neighborhood of Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka in the Kansai region of Japan. The tumulus was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1963.

Row House in Sumiyoshi (住吉の長屋, Sumiyoshi no Nagaya), also called Azuma House (Japanese 東邸), is a personal residence in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka, Japan. It was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando in his early career. It was designed without exterior windows reflecting the desire of the owner to feel that he was not "in Japan", but to compensate for lost light, an interior courtyard with cross walkway was created. Ando's concrete architectural style, reflected in the design of the Azuma House, inspired the set design for the music video of Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity".

The Sumiyoshi Angū (住吉行宮) was the location of a temporary palace of the Southern Court during the Nanboku-chō period of Japanese history. It was located in Sumie, Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka in the Kansai region of Japan. The site was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1939. The Sumiyoshi Angū was located about 300 meters south of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine.

Suminoe-ku (住之江区) is one of 24 wards of Osaka, Japan, stretching along the south-west border of the city. It borders the wards of Minato-ku, Taisho-ku and Nishinari-ku to the north, and Sumiyoshi-ku to the east. It is the largest land area of all wards in Osaka, and includes about half of the Osaka Bay harbor area. Suminoe-ku is connected to the region by three municipal subway lines (the Yotsubashi Line, the Chuo Line, and the Nankō Port Town Line), as well as two rail lines (Nankai Main Line and Hankai Line) and three expressways. The ward is also home to the Osaka international ferry terminal with services to Shikoku and Kyushu, as well as international destinations Shanghai, China, and Busan, South Korea.
