Almendares River

The Torreón de la Chorrera (Tower of la Chorrera), or to give it its full name, Fuerte de Santa Dorotea de la Luna de la Chorrera, was completed in May 1646. The tower stands on a coral islet only a few metres from the shore and not much larger than the tower itself. The tower's purpose was to impede the entry of enemy ships into the mouth of the Almendares River. The British damaged and captured the tower when they took the city in 1762, after which the tower was rebuilt in its present form. Today, the tower contains a restaurant. In 1982, the Torreón was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with other historic sites in Old Havana, because of the city's importance in the European conquest of the New World, its fortifications, and its unique architecture.

The Hotel Rosita De Hornedo (renamed Hotel Sierra Maestra), located in the Puntilla [2] area of Miramar, was one of the first major buildings to be built by a private developer in the 1950s in Havana.

La Fábrica de Arte Cubano (known locally as La Fábrica de Arte or F.A.C) is an art gallery and club in Havana, Cuba. The Fábrica's gallery and stage were established inside of a former cooking oil factory, and has since gained notoriety as one of Havana's premier nightclubs and art galas. Several news outlets have described the factory as a symbol of Cuba's accelerating opening to the world.

The Hotel Habana Riviera by Iberostar, originally known as the Havana Riviera, is a historic resort hotel located on the Malecón waterfront boulevard in the Vedado district of Havana, Cuba. The hotel,which is managed by the Spanish Iberostar chain, was built in 1957 and still maintains its original 1950s style. It has twenty-one floors containing 352 rooms all of which feature views of the water and the Vedado neighborhood.

The Meliá Cohiba Hotel is a high-rise hotel opened in 1994, located in the Vedado district of Havana, Cuba, just off the Malecón and next to the historic Hotel Habana Riviera. The hotel has 401 rooms and 61 suites. The hotel's sharp angles and alternating walls of stone and glass make it one of the more modern buildings in Havana, along with its sister the Meliá Habana. The Cohiba has a wide range of restaurants and shops, as the Habanos Cigar Store. The Habana Café has a nightly floor show and live music.

John Lennon Park or Parque John Lennon (formerly known as Parque Menocal) is a public park, located in the Vedado district in Havana, Cuba.

The Hubert de Blanck Theater is a small theatre situated on Calle Calzada in the Vedado district of Havana, Cuba, named after Hubert de Blanck. It has a seating capacity for 267 people, and offers regular performances of contemporary and classical plays. There are also occasional presentations of well-known foreign productions that have toured to Cuba.

The Karl Marx Theatre (Spanish: Teatro Karl Marx) is a theatre in Havana, Cuba. It was originally known as the Teatro Blanquita, owned and built by Alfredo Hornedo, renamed to the Teatro Charles Chaplin following the Cuban Revolution of 1959, and finally received its current name in 1975. The venue has an auditorium, with seating capacity of 5,500 people, and is used for shows by stars from Cuba and abroad. In 1956, Liberace appeared on stage as part of his first international tour.

The Intelligence Directorate (Spanish: Dirección de Inteligencia, DI), commonly known as G2 and, until 1989, named Dirección General de Inteligencia (DGI), is the main state intelligence agency of the government of Cuba. The DI was founded in late 1961 by Cuba's Ministry of the Interior shortly after the Cuban Revolution. The DI is responsible for all foreign intelligence collection and comprises six divisions divided into two categories, which are the Operational Divisions and the Support Divisions. Manuel "Redbeard" Piñeiro was the first director of the DI in 1961, and his term lasted until 1964. Another top leader who directed the famous office, located on Linea and A, Vedado, was the now retired Div. General, Jesús Bermúdez Cutiño. He was transferred from being the chief of the Army Intelligence (DIM) to the Ministry of Interior after the corruption trials and executions of Arnaldo Ochoa and José Abrantes Fernández in 1989. The current head of the DI is Brig. Gen. Eduardo Delgado Rodríguez. The total number of people working for the DI is about 15,000.

The Apostolic Nunciature to Cuba the diplomatic mission of the Holy See to Cuba. It is located at the nation's capital, in Havana. The current Apostolic Nuncio is Archbishop Giampiero Gloder, who was named to the position by Pope Francis on 11 October 2019. The Apostolic Nunciature to the Republic of Cuba is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in Cuba, with the rank of an embassy. The nuncio serves both as the ambassador of the Holy See to the President of Cuba, and as delegate and point-of-contact between the Catholic hierarchy in Cuba and the Pope.

The Atlantic Building (Edificio Atlantic) is a condominium building of 25 floors located on Calle D between 1st. and 3rd, in Vedado, Havana. It is located in a privileged area near the Malecon. It the first building erected by the Cuban-Italian mixed enterprise Azul Inmobiliaria, founded in 1999 in partnership with the Italian partner B & D International and is a holding company with franchised in Cuba where it is known as Inversiones Punta del Morro. Construction began in 2000 and was inaugurated on February 10, 2007. It is considered a symbol of Cuban modern architecture.

The Amadeo Roldán Theatre (Spanish: Teatro Amadeo Roldán) is a theatre in Havana, Cuba built in 1929. The theatre was destroyed in 1977 by a pyromaniac; it was re-opened in 1999 as the head office of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba which performs seasonal every Sunday at 11:00PM. Located within a monumental modern building, once home to The Havana Auditorium, the venue now consists of the Amadeo Roldán and García Caturla halls, offering symphonic orchestras, piano recitals, and a mixture of classical and contemporary music. The Amadeo Roldán hall has seats for 886, for important concerts such as Egberto Gismonti and Leo Brouwer, the Caturla hall is for small band performances and has a capacity for 276 persons. The theatre apart from being home of the National Symphony Orchestra is also home to prestigious international events such as the "Encuentro Internacional de Guitarra" (International Guitar Gathering).
