The Royal Preston Hospital or RPH, is an acute general hospital in Preston, Lancashire, England. It is managed by the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Corpus Christi Catholic High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Fulwood (near Preston) in the English county of Lancashire.It is a voluntary aided school administered by Lancashire County Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lancaster. The school offers GCSEs, BTECs and vocational courses as programmes of study for pupils.The Jack McLaughlin Engineering Centre is located at the front of the school grounds. It is a study centre for engineering and auto-engineering, with pupils from Corpus Christi and other local schools able to attend.

Preston College is a further education college in the city of Preston, Lancashire, England. The college originally opened as W. R. Tuson College in September 1974 and was renamed Preston College on 1 September 1989.

College is in the Fulwood area in northern Preston, Lancashire, England. The ward is based in the Sharoe Green area with the name being derived from the central placement of Preston College. The ward was split between the parliamentary constituencies of Ribble Valley and Preston. Following boundary changes in 2010, College became part of the new Wyre and Preston North constituency. Two members of Preston City Council, elected 'in thirds' in first past the post elections each year, are returned from the ward. The ward forms part of the Lancashire County Council electoral division of Preston Central North.

Church Cottage Museum is a 16th-century cottage in Broughton, City of Preston, Lancashire, England. The cottage is grade II listed and is operated as a small museum, open on Sunday afternoons.The cottage was built in the 16th century and over time was used as an inn and a school room as well as a residence. After the death of its last tenant in 1986 the building became neglected, but it was restored after local fundraising which included a grant from British Aerospace and was opened as a museum by Princess Alexandra in 1995.

Fulwood Academy (formerly Fulwood High School) is a coeducational secondary school located in Fulwood, Preston) in the English county of Lancashire.Previously a community school administered by Lancashire County Council, Fulwood High School converted to academy status on 1 September 2009 and was renamed Fulwood Academy. The school is sponsored by Charles Dunstone through a charitable trust, the Dunstone Education Trust.Fulwood Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. Fulwood Academy's leadership has been in question over a number of years now, with the school having 5 headteachers (including interim headteachers). The current headteacher is Andrew Galbraith.

St John the Baptist's Church is in Church Lane, Broughton, Lancashire, England. Its benefice is united with those of St Martin, Fulwood, and St Peter, Fulwood. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Christ Church is in Victoria Road, Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Preston, the archdeaconry of Lancaster, and the diocese of Blackburn. The church was built in 1854–55 and designed by Myres and Veevers. It is constructed in stone with some polychromy in the dressings. The north steeple has a square porch at the base, and becomes octagonal as it rises. There are no aisles, and inside the church is a hammerbeam roof. In 1937 the Lancaster practice of Austin and Paley added a Chapel of Remembrance.

Fulwood is a suburb of Preston, Lancashire, England, in the northern half of the City of Preston district. It had a population of 28,535 in 2011 and is made up of five wards.Fulwood began to develop in the second half of the 19th century and, until 1974, it was governed independently from Preston. It has retained a distinct identity and character, and the majority of the settlement is in the Fulwood Conservation Area.

The Street That Cut Everything is a British television documentary presented by BBC political editor Nick Robinson. Billed as a social experiment, 50 residents of a street in Preston, Lancashire were persuaded to go without all council services for six weeks, and work together to run their own community with the aid of the Council Tax rebates they received for not having local authority services. One of the film's objectives was to highlight the issue of cuts in public spending, but the programme attracted criticism for the nature in which the experiment was conducted. One major point of concern involved dogs being allowed to excessively foul the street, which the residents were then required to clean up, something which raised public health concerns. The programme was aired in two episodes on Monday 16 May 2011.

Cadley is a largely residential suburban area of Preston, Lancashire, England, and an electoral ward. The population of the ward taken at the 2011 census was 4,589. It is usually considered to be a district of the larger suburb of Fulwood (and formed part of the pre-1974 Fulwood Urban District), but was historically separate as evidenced, for instance, in the name of Fulwood and Cadley County Primary School. Cadley is a district of Preston positioned to the north of the city centre, with two main roads to its east and west; the B5411 Woodplumpton Road to its west, Black Bull Lane to its east. The West Coast Main Line runs through the area, although its major transport links are served by the local and national bus routes criss-crossing its boundaries. The ward of Cadley is a two-member electoral division, returning two councillors to Town Hall. With the neighbouring Greyfriars ward, it forms the Preston North division of Lancashire County Council. At the 2001 census, the population of Cadley was 4,698, with over 85% regarding themselves as Christian. At the most recent election in Cadley, the 2010 by-election, the total valid electorate was 3,772. In 2006 there was an electorate of 3,746, whilst the elections in 2008 had an electorate of 3,778.
