Dell Creek

Dellwood is an unincorporated community in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. Dellwood is located on Wisconsin Highway 23 southwest of Lake Delton, in the town of Dellona.

The Seth Peterson Cottage is a one-story cottage in Mirror Lake State Park near Reedsburg in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright with Thomas Casey as the supervising architect, the house was built for computer operator Seth Peterson of Black Earth, Wisconsin, and was one of Wright's last designs. The exterior of the building has ashlar foundations and large glass windows. The cottage has a bedroom and a living–dining room, which encircles a utility core composed of a kitchen and bathroom. The roof above the bedroom is flat, while the rest of the cottage has a sloped roof. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places. Work on the cottage began in 1959, but Peterson died by suicide before it was completed. The house was acquired in 1961 by the Pritchard family, who completed construction. In 1966, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) bought the cottage as part of an expansion of Mirror Lake State Park. The house fell into disrepair until Audrey Laatsch, a local resident, formed the Seth Peterson Cottage Conservancy in 1989 to renovate the building. Following a $300,000 repair project, the house was opened to the public for rentals in 1992.

Mirror Lake State Park is a 2,179-acre (882 ha) Wisconsin state park in the Wisconsin Dells region. The process of establishing the park began in 1962 and the park officially opened on August 19, 1966. It contains Mirror Lake, a narrow reservoir with steep sandstone sides up to 50 feet (15 m) tall. The lake has a surface area of 137 acres (55 ha) and an average depth of 10 to 14 feet (3.0 to 4.3 m). Recessed out of the wind, the water of Mirror Lake is usually calm and often as glassy-smooth as a mirror, hence the name. Situated in a major tourist area, the state park has an extensive campground and other visitor amenities. Also located within the park is the Seth Peterson Cottage, a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building available for public rental.

Camp Gray is a Catholic summer camp and retreat center located in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. It is a ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, and is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Its mission is to "Camp Gray invites people of all ages to encounter Jesus Christ in all creation, experience a fun and vibrant Catholic community, and be challenged to ever more deeply know, love and serve God and neighbor.". Camp Gray's summer program consists of nine one-week sessions for campers ranging in age from 6-18. Typical camp activities include archery, arts and crafts, and fishing. Camp Gray also serves as a retreat center.

Delton, originally called New Buffalo, is a town in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,024 at the 2000 census.

Marshall Memorial Hall is a historic building at 30 Wisconsin Dells Parkway South in Lake Delton, Wisconsin. The town of Delton had the building constructed in 1928 to serve as a government office building, community center, and town library. Roujet D. Marshall, an early Delton resident and justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, bequeathed the money for the building, and it was named in his honor. Architect Edward Tough of Madison designed the Georgian Revival building. The one-story brick building's design includes a rounded entrance portico supported by Tuscan columns, arched double-hung windows, and a hip roof with an octagonal lantern and two brick chimneys. The building continues to house town offices and is one of the few surviving buildings in Lake Delton that predates the commercial development of the Wisconsin Dells area as a major tourist destination. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 1, 1993.

The Wonder Spot was a tourist attraction located off US Route 12 in Lake Delton, Wisconsin from 1949 to 2006. A popular side trip for visitors to nearby Wisconsin Dells, the Wonder Spot was advertised as a place "where the laws of natural gravity seem to be repealed." Visitors walked down a ravine into a cabin, where seemingly no one could stand up straight, water flowed backwards, and chairs could be balanced on two legs. Guides attributed the effects to igneous rock formations, but in truth, the cabin was built perpendicular to a hillside, and the purported gravitational anomalies were merely optical illusions. Louis Dauterman of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin opened the Wonder Spot in 1952, and Bill Carney purchased it in 1988. According to Carney, as many as 50,000 visitors came to the site each year during the mid-1990s. However, when more sophisticated theme parks and water parks in the area began threatening his business, Carney decided to sell the site to the village of Lake Delton in 2006 for $300,000. The village planned to build a road near the ravine. At the time of its closing, the Wonder Spot was the oldest permitted attraction in the Wisconsin Dells region. A few items from the Wonder Spot, such as a chair and a can used for pouring water, were donated to the Wisconsin Historical Society.

The Hulburt Creek Garden Beds are an archaeological site on Birchwood Road near its intersection with County Highway H in the town of Delton, Wisconsin. The site encompasses 200 acres (81 ha) of ridged garden beds used by pre-Columbian Native Americans. Based on radiocarbon dating, the garden beds date to roughly 1000 A.D., making them the oldest surviving garden beds in the Upper Midwest; this places the site within the Late Woodland period. The garden beds were most likely used to grow native plants such as corn, beans, squash, and pumpkins. Landowner Bill Pierce donated the site to the Sauk County Historical Society in 2008. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 8, 1991.

Lake Delton is a village in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,501 at the 2020 census. Located on the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton reservoir, the village forms a resort area and tourism destination along with nearby Wisconsin Dells. Lake Delton is included in the Baraboo micropolitan area about 40 miles (64 km) northwest of the state capital, Madison.
