Turner Town House

Leavitt Area High School is a public secondary school that serves grades 9–12 in Turner, Maine, United States. It is a regional high school and serves the communities of Turner, Leeds, and Greene and is run by Maine School Administrative District 52.

It is in the center of the town, situated on the Nezinscot River, a northeast-flowing tributary of the Androscoggin River. Maine State Routes 4 and 117 cross just west of the center of the village. Route 4 (Auburn Road) leads north 17 miles (27 km) to Livermore Falls and south 11 miles (18 km) to Auburn, while Route 117 leads northwest 6 miles (10 km) to Buckfield and northeast 6 miles to Howes Corner in the northern part of the town of Turner. Turner was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

It had one asphalt runway, one turf, and Androscoggin River access for water landings. It averaged 98 flights per day, and had approximately 73 aircraft based on its field.Twitchell Airport had a fixed-base operator (FBO), Dirigo Aerospace Solutions, LLC. It offered major and minor maintenance jobs, fleet maintenance, fuel, hangar space for rent, and a Skyhawk for rent. DAS also supported seaplane operations with 100LL at the seaplane dock and all seaplane maintenance needs. Twitchell Airport closed November 2022.

It is northeast of the center of the county, and in the center of the town of Greene. U.S. Route 202 passes through the village, leading southwest 7 miles (11 km) to the center of Lewiston and northeast 22 miles (35 km) to Augusta, the state capital. Greene was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Enoch Hall House is a historic house on Bean Road in Buckfield, Maine. Probably built in the 1790s, this house is notable as the home of one of Buckfield's early settlers, Enoch Hall, a politically active man who helped draft the Maine State Constitution in 1819. The house is also notable for the murals drawn on the walls of the second floor hallway and bedrooms probably around 1830; the artist is unknown. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Lake Auburn is a lake and reservoir in Auburn, Maine. The Lake has a total area of 2,260 acres (910 ha) and a maximum depth of 118 feet (36 m). It is the water supply for the Lewiston-Auburn area. The lake is closed to most recreational activity, including ice fishing and swimming. In 2013, the Lake experienced several small algal blooms, though the fishing conditions and local water supply were not extensively harmed by the change in conditions. Some of Maine's most sought after fish species are found in the lake, including Salmon, Lake Trout, and Brook Trout. In recent years, Lake Auburn has also seen rising populations of warm water fish species such as Largemouth Bass and Chain Pickerel, which are now thriving in soft, shallow areas of the lake. The rise of warmwater fish in the lake may have an impact on native Coldwater fishes in the near future.
