St. Peter's Cemetery (formerly the French Cemetery or Le Cimietière de la Congrégation Canadienne) is a cemetery in Lewiston, Maine. Located on 150 acres (60 ha) of land, it was officially consecrated in 1876. It is operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland. A number of burials occurred in the cemetery prior to its official inception in 1876 and over 45,000 burials have taken place since. In 1952, the cemetery was expanded by 24 acres (10 ha) with the purchase of a nearby farm.

Twitchell Airport (FAA LID: 3B5) (aka Twitchell's Airport/Seaplane Base) in Turner, Maine, United States, was a public, privately owned airport. It had one asphalt runway, one turf, and Androscoggin River access for water landings. It averaged 98 flights per day, and had approximately 73 aircraft based on its field.Twitchell Airport had a fixed-base operator (FBO), Dirigo Aerospace Solutions, LLC. It offered major and minor maintenance jobs, fleet maintenance, fuel, hangar space for rent, and a Skyhawk for rent. DAS also supported seaplane operations with 100LL at the seaplane dock and all seaplane maintenance needs. Twitchell Airport closed November 2022.

The William Briggs Homestead is an historic farmhouse at 1470 Turner Street in Auburn, Maine. Built in 1797 by one of the area's early settlers, it is one of Auburn's oldest surviving buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Lake Auburn is a lake and reservoir in Auburn, Maine. The Lake has a total area of 2,260 acres (910 ha) and a maximum depth of 118 feet (36 m). It is the water supply for the Lewiston-Auburn area. The lake is closed to most recreational activity, including ice fishing and swimming. In 2013, the Lake experienced several small algal blooms, though the fishing conditions and local water supply were not extensively harmed by the change in conditions. Some of Maine's most sought after fish species are found in the lake, including Salmon, Lake Trout, and Brook Trout. In recent years, Lake Auburn has also seen rising populations of warm water fish species such as Largemouth Bass and Chain Pickerel, which are now thriving in soft, shallow areas of the lake. The rise of warmwater fish in the lake may have an impact on native Coldwater fishes in the near future.

Riverside Cemetery is a cemetery in Lewiston, Maine. The 40-acre (16 ha) cemetery is located on the bank of the Androscoggin River which flows through Lewiston. It is owned by the Riverside Cemetery Association.An historic cemetery still in use today, Riverside Cemetery was incorporated in 1855 after a group of city leaders purchased land from Bates College, then known as the Maine State Seminary. Part of the property included the Greenwood Cemetery which had been in use since the 1830s as well as farm land owned by the Whipple Family.Among the original founders of the cemetery were William P. Frye, Alonzo Garcelon, Amos Nevins, Daniel Hamilton, Samuel Bearce, Armis Nash, Samuel Haley, and Donald Holland. Many historically important men and women are buried at Riverside, including 24 Mayors, 2 Governors, 1 Civil War General, 1 US Senator and more than 1200 veterans of wars dating back to the Revolutionary War. Various walking tours are featured highlighting the lives of those who call Riverside their final resting place.The earliest recorded burial was in 1834, Dean Frye, Esquire. The brick residence was built in the 1850s. Designed as a rural cemetery similar to Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA, the serpentine roads of the oldest part of the Riverside's grounds curve among magnificent old oaks and maples overlooking the Androscoggin River. Later development of the cemetery focused on the lawn style of cemetery design which allowed for more symmetrical organization of the lots. Tall obelisks, mausoleums and statuary dot the landscape. Birdwatchers are particularly fond of the many species found there and the City of Lewiston's Androscoggin Riverside Trail which skirts the cemetery's perimeter is popular with walkers and runners.

The John D. Clifford House is a historic house in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1926, it is one of a modest number of examples statewide of Mediterranean Revival, and the only one known to have been built as a year-round residence. The building features an eclectic mix of styles, and has a builtin garage, also a rarity for the period. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Bradford Peck House is a historic house at 506 Main Street in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1893, it is an unusual example of a rambling and asymmetrical Colonial Revival house. It was designed by local architect George M. Coombs and built for Bradford Peck, owner of Peck's Department Store, one of the largest such stores in New England. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. It now houses professional offices.

The James C. Lord House is a historic house in Lewiston, Maine. Built in 1885 for a prominent local businessman, it is a high quality blend of late 19th-century architectural styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
