Louveigné (Walloon: Lovgné) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Sprimont, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. The village of Banneux lies on its territory.

Some of its best-known enterprises are Galler chocolates, Magotteaux and Chaudfontaine drinking waters. Chaudfontaine was strongly hit by the 2021 European floods.

The Soumagne Tunnel is the longest rail tunnel in Belgium, with a length of 6,505 metres (21,342 ft). Built on the HSL 3 line of the Belgian TGV service for Brussels-Liège-Cologne, the tunnel was completed in 2004. The new line was opened on 12 June 2009. The tunnel links the Liège conurbation with the Herve plateau at a depth of 120 metres (390 ft). Construction and outfitting of the tunnel took place from 2001 to 2005, with the first trains passing through in 2009. The entrances are at Vaux-sous-Chèvremont 50°36′12″N 5°38′14″E and Soumagne 50°36′40″N 5°43′33″E. The tunnel passes under Chaudfontaine, Fléron, Romsée and Ayeneux. The bored section is 5,940 metres (6,500 yd), extended by covered sections of respectively 177 and 388 m. Dozens of geological layers of differing hardness had to be tunnelled through, lime layers needing to be blasted through with dynamite. The tunnel reaches a depth of 127 m in some areas; it has an average ramp height of 1.7%, with a maximum of 2% at the entrance in Soumagne. The free space profile in the tunnel is approximately 69 m2 (740 sq ft), which restricts speeds to 200 km/h (120 mph).

Beyne-Heusay (French pronunciation: ​[bɛn øzɛ]; Walloon: Binne-Heuzea) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Beyne-Heusay had a total population of 11,711. The total area is 7.32 km² which gives a population density of 1,600 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Bellaire, Beyne-Heusay, and Queue-du-Bois.

Banneux (French pronunciation: ​[banø]) is a village of Wallonia in the municipality of Sprimont, district of Louveigné, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It is known because of the reported Marian apparitions of Our Lady of Banneux, also known as Our Lady of the Poor to a young girl called Mariette Beco.

Fort d'Embourg was built between 1881 and 1884 according to the plans of General Henri Alexis Brialmont. Contrasting with the French forts built in the same era by Raymond Adolphe Séré de Rivières, the fort was built exclusively of unreinforced concrete, a new material, rather than masonry. The fort was heavily bombarded by German artillery in the Battle of Liège in World War I and again at the opening of World War II. It has been preserved and is operated as a museum.

Retinne (Walloon: Ritene) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Fléron, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It is just north of the centre of Fléron.
