Minta Gymnasium ("Model") was a secondary school in Budapest, Hungary, founded by Mór Kármán, Hungarian philosopher and educator who reformatted Hungarian school system. It is noted, together with Fasori Lutheran Gymnasium and the Piarist Gymnasium, for a number of talented students.

Közkincs Könyvtár (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈkøskint͡ʃ ˈkøɲftaːr]; transl. Public Library) is a feminist library and community space in Budapest. The library's collection is primarily composed of English-language works in the categories of fiction, poetry, art, and sociology, with a heavy emphasis on topics of race, gender and class.

Szimpla Kert is a romkocsma, which means "Simple Garden" in Hungarian, located in the Jewish Quarter of the 7th district of Budapest, Hungary. The pub started as a place for people to find a cheap drink in a relaxed environment, but has grown to become a tourist attraction and community center. Movie showings, live music performances, an art gallery, the Kazinczy Living Library, the Szimpla Farmers' Market, and the Szimpla Bringa bicycle flea market are just a few of the community activities that are held at the bar.

Budapest's Palotanegyed (Palace District) forms an inner part of Pest, the eastern half of Budapest. Known until the communist period as the ‘Magnates’ Quarter’, it consists of the western part of the city's Eighth District, or Józsefváros (Joseph Town), which was named on 7 November 1777 after Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria (1741-1790), who reigned 1765-1790 (1780-1790 as King of Hungary). (Vienna's Eighth District, the Josefstadt, was also named after him, but long after his reign, in 1850). Józsefváros developed immediately east of the medieval walls of Pest and was originally called Lerchenfeld (‘Lark Field’) or the Alsó-Külváros (‘Lower Suburb’). The Palotanegyed's borders are the Múzeum körút to the west, Rákóczi út to the north, the József körút to the east and Üllői út to the south. Rajk College for Advanced Studies (Hungarian: Rajk Szakkollégium) is an educational institution offering advanced courses in the fields of economics, business and social sciences. The College is a self governing community of about 100 selected students living together. It was founded in 1970 by the students of the Corvinus University of Budapest (then Karl Marx University of Economic Sciences), with Attila Chikán as its first principal. It is the oldest existing institution of the kind in Hungary, giving a model to a number of later colleges in Hungary and abroad, such as the Bibó István College for Advanced Studies in Hungary or the Mikó Imre College for Advanced Studies in Romania. The college was named in 1974 after László Rajk, a leading Hungarian Communist, who was proclaimed enemy of the regime and executed in a show trial in 1949. The idea behind the naming of the college was to express criticism towards the system at the time. In December, 2018 the college decided to change its name and dropped the word László. The college played an active political role during the time of the communist regime. In the 1980s, it served as a base for the opposition and organized several political fora and assisted political movements such as Fidesz, contributing to the transformation of Hungary to a democratic country with a market economy. After the transition the College abandoned institutional politics, however it expects its members to be active in the civil society.

Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU) (Hungarian: Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem (PPKE)) is a private university in and near Budapest, Hungary, belonging to the Catholic Church and recognized by the state. Founded in 1635, the PPCU is one of Hungary's oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education. The Faculty of Theology was established by archbishop Péter Pázmány, as part of a new university, in Nagyszombat, the Kingdom of Hungary (today Trnava, Slovakia) in 1635 (the original university church is now the Cathedral of Trnava). This university was transferred to the present-day Budapest in 1777 and named after Pázmány in 1921. In 1950, the university was renamed to Eötvös Loránd University, but in the same year, the government split the Faculty of Theology off the university to form the independent Theological Academy as an anti-Church measure. After the fall of Communism, the Theological Academy was expanded with a faculty of humanities to form the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, which was accredited by the state in 1993.The university is located in two cities: the Rectors' Office, the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Information Technology, and the Postgraduate Institute of Canon-Law are located in Budapest. The campus of the Vitéz János Faculty of Teaching is in Esztergom, just across the Esztergom Basilica. The Faculty of Humanities operated a campus in Piliscsaba, in the vicinity of Budapest from 1994 until end-2020, after which it relocated its departments and courses to Budapest. The university has several research groups and institutes. One of the most important international research programmes of the university is the Syro-Hungarian Archeological Mission, which does the restoration of Margat's crusader fortress. Nearly 8.000 students attend the university, enrolled in several Bachelor, Master, and PhD programmes. International cooperations include the Erasmus programme and bilateral agreements. It was named in 2009 as one of the most active members of the Erasmus programme. It is a co-establisher of the International Research Universities Network and has strong connections with Radboud University Nijmegen, Catholic University of Leuven, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Saint Louis University and University of Notre Dame.

Andrássy University Budapest (AUB) (full name: Andrássy Gyula German Speaking University Budapest/Andrássy Gyula Deutschsprachige Universität Budapest) is a private university in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Andrássy University Budapest was founded in 2001 and is the only completely German-language university outside the German-speaking countries. As a European university in Hungary, it is supported by five partner states (Austria, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Germany, Hungary) and also by Switzerland and the autonomous region of Trentino-South Tyrol.

The Budapest Ghetto was a Nazi ghetto set up in Budapest, Hungary, where Jews were forced to relocate by a decree of the Government of National Unity led by the fascist Arrow Cross Party during the final stages of World War II. The ghetto existed from November 29, 1944, to January 17, 1945.

Blaha Lujza tér is a station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It is a major transport junction. The station was opened on 2 April 1970 as part of the inaugural section of Line M2, between Deák Ferenc tér and Örs vezér tere.The square is named after Lujza Blaha, an actress (1850–1926). The Hungarian National Theater was located on the square until 1964 when it was demolished (by explosion) because of the subway construction. The 111-year-old New York Café is located at walking distance from it. It was renovated and re-opened in 2006 May by the Italian hotel chain Boscolo Hotels Inc. [1]

Akácfa utca (Acacia Road) is located in Erzsébetváros in Budapest, Hungary, between Rákóczi út and Király utca. It is named after the Robinia pseudoacacia that dominated the area in the 18th century. This road was initially called Akatziengasse. From 1838, the segment of the road between Dohány utca and Dob utca was still called Akatziengasse (Akácfa utca), but between Dob utcától and Király utca it was known as the Kleine Akatziengasse (Little Acacia Road). These were unified in 1874 and it has been called Akácfa utca since then.The headquarters of BKV are situated on this street.

Rákóczi út (Rákóczi Avenue) is one of the busiest arterial roads in Budapest, Hungary. It runs in an east-west direction through the city.
