St Mary's and All Saints' Church is an Anglican church in the village of Checkley, Staffordshire, England. It is a Grade I listed building. The oldest parts of the building are 12th-century, with later medieval and 17th-century work.

Checkley is a village and civil parish in the district of Staffordshire Moorlands in the English county of Staffordshire.

Tean is a large village in Staffordshire, England. It is around 15 miles (24 km) south-east of Stoke-on-Trent. The River Tean runs through the village, heading east towards Uttoxeter. Population details for the 2011 census can be found under Checkley. The village is itself composed of two villages: Upper Tean and Lower Tean. It is part of the Checkley ward within the Staffordshire Moorlands district. The Heath House, a Gothic Revival mansion and estate, is located to the east of the village. The village also contains an historic tape mill (now converted into apartments / flats). There are a number of pubs & shops, a doctors' surgery, nurseries, a village hall (Greatwood Hall), three churches, and a small park. There is free car parking signposted off one end of the High Street (between the two pubs). Major employers in the area include Alton Towers, JCB, Toyota, and Fox's Biscuits.

Leigh is a civil parish in the English county of Staffordshire. The parish includes the village of Church Leigh, together with the settlements of Withington, Upper Leigh, Lower Leigh, Morrilow Heath, Middleton Green, Dodsley, Godstone, Nobut and Field. Church Leigh is 6.2 miles (10.0 km) WNW of the town of Uttoxeter, 14.3 miles (23.0 km) north east of Stafford and 148 miles (238 km) north west of London. The other settlements are within 3 miles (4.8 km) of Church Leigh. The population of Leigh is stable at around 900.

Leigh railway station was a railway station in Staffordshire, England. The railway line between Stoke-on-Trent and Uttoxeter was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) in 1848 and a station to serve the village of Church Leigh was opened at the same time. The station remained open until 1966 but goods facilities had been withdrawn in 1964.

Freehay is a small village located 2 miles from the centre of Cheadle in Staffordshire, England. The village centre is at the main Freehay Bank (or Church Bank), properly known as School Lane. St Chad's C of E church is located here.(Designed by Gilbert Scott) Half a mile up the road from here near the crossroads is the 'Queens at Freehay' a very popular Pub-Restaurant and previously a small village shop, which ceased business in 2017. There is also a viewing platform to look out across Croxden Quarry. Turning right at the crossroads from the village centre the road continues to the other half of the village and then on towards Winnothdale. Despite having two quarries in the vicinity the village is very peaceful as there is no noise from the quarries and they are surrounded by trees. At one time, Freehay was a larger village with its own school and Vicar; however, it is now a small peaceful village, without a school and shares a Rector with the nearby town of Cheadle. Some of the former houses were demolished to make way for Freehay Quarry. The former school, next door to the church, has been converted into a large house and the former vicarage is now a privately owned house. The village hall is located on School Lane next door to St Chad's school house. It is owned by the people of Freehay and managed by a committee of volunteers.

Totmonslow is a hundred in the county of Staffordshire, England. The hundred is in the north-east of Staffordshire and is named after the hamlet of the same name, which is a half mile east of Draycott in the Moors. The hamlet was the seat of the hundred court.

Tean Road Sports Ground is a cricket ground in Cheadle, Staffordshire. The ground is located south of the town centre along the Tean Road, which itself forms part of the A522 Road. It has played host to List A cricket matches, in addition to playing host to Staffordshire County Cricket Club in minor counties cricket.

Tean railway station was a railway station located on the Cheadle Branch Line at Totmonslow, Staffordshire. It was opened as Totmonslow in 1892 and was the terminus of the line until it reached Cheadle in 1901.

The college is run as a partnership of 3 local high schools; Painsley Catholic College, The Cheadle Academy and Moorside High School, and acts as the sixth form for students of all partnership schools.

Painsley Catholic College is a Roman Catholic secondary school with academy status in Cheadle, Staffordshire, England. The name comes from Painsley Hall, Draycott in the Moors, from which the Painsley and Draycott Mission served the neighbouring areas and from which grew those parishes now connected with the college. It is also part of a multi-academy company made up of Painsley and its six feeder schools.

The Cheadle Academy (formerly Cheadle High School) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status located in Cheadle, Staffordshire in the Midlands area of England. It has around 790 pupils ranging from Year 7 to 13. The Cheadle Academy has its own sixth form provision that opened in September 2017. The Cheadle Academy is a specialist arts school. It offers a broad curriculum base, offering students the chance to study a wide range of subjects. Overall the proportion of pupils who were entered for 5 or more GCSE, and achieved 5 or more 9-5 grades, was 61%. Similarly, the pass rate for Grade 5 or more 9-5 including English and Maths was 58%.
