The Church of St Mary the Virgin is on Church Lane, Prestwich, Greater Manchester, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Radcliffe and Prestwich, the archdeaconry of Bolton and the diocese of Manchester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. Pevsner refers to it as "a major church".

Prestwich Cricket, Tennis & Bowling Club, commonly known as PCTBC or Prestwich Cricket Club, is an English multi-sports club from the town of Prestwich, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, England. With over 500 members, the club has four official sporting sections fielding amateur teams in cricket, tennis, crown green bowling and association football. Boasting a large social membership section, the club also has teams playing a variety of other sports including cribbage, darts, dominoes, five-a-side football and netball. The club was the first multi-sports club in the UK to achieve Clubmark or equivalent accreditation's in all its official sporting sections. Then in 2010, the club underwent a major redevelopment which included the addition of a new changing facility, the refurbishment of the existing clubhouse and new floodlit tennis courts. As a result, PCTBC was then chosen as the showcase club for the inaugural NatWest ECB CricketForce Fundraiser weekend.

Manchester Mesivta School is a Jewish secondary school for boys located in Prestwich in the English county of Greater Manchester.It is a voluntary aided school administered by Bury Metropolitan Borough Council, but admits Orthodox Jewish boys aged 11 to 16 from all over Greater Manchester. Previously a private school, Manchester Mesivta School became voluntary-aided in 2004 and relocated to new buildings in 2005.Manchester Mesivta School operates principally as a mesivta for pupils who wish to proceed eventually to a yeshiva, and therefore aims for pupils to achieve a high degree of proficiency in Torah studies. The school offers a Yeshiva-orientated Torah syllabus along with the National Curriculum. Secular studies lead to GCSE courses and examinations. There is also an independent sixth form provision attached to the school site.

Besses o' th' Barn () is a suburb in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. The population at the 2011 Census was 10,664. It lies between Radcliffe and Prestwich. Besses o' th' Barn tram stop is on the electrified line from Manchester Victoria to Bury. The station closed for eight months for conversion to Metrolink use, re-opening on 6 April 1992. A three-layer bridge enables Bury Old Road to run under the Manchester Metrolink line by the Metrolink station and over the M60 motorway near Junction 17. McDonald's and Aldi have stores on the retail park where Bury New Road and Bury Old Road cross, while Besses United Reformed Church, designed by Alfred Waterhouse, stands nearby. Near the McDonald's and Aldi used to stand a Co-op but it was knocked down in 2019 to make way for the larger Aldi. The area is the home of Besses o' th' Barn Band, a brass band formed in 1818. Notable people who lived in the area include John Horsefield, Thomas Thorp and John Warburton. The area was also at one time the location of Whitefield Brewery.

Prestwich Town Hall is a former municipal building on Scholes Lane, Prestwich, a town in Greater Manchester in England. The building, which served as the offices and meeting place of Prestwich Borough Council and has since been converted into apartments, is a Grade II listed building.

The Parish Church of St Margaret is a Church of England parish church situated on St Margaret's Road, off Bury Old Road (A665) in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, England. The Grade II listed church, in the Diocese of Manchester, was designed in the Decorated style by the Manchester architects Travis and Mangnall in 1849 as a chapel-of-ease to the ancient Prestwich Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin. Opened in 1851, it was extended in 1863, 1871, 1884, 1888 and 1899, and is notable for its fine Arts and Crafts wood carvings by Arthur Simpson of Kendal and late twentieth-century fittings. The church's daughter church of St George, Simister, is in the same parish.

Heaton Park Congregational Church is a former church in Prestwich in Greater Manchester. It has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England (NHLE) since April 1986.It was designed by Alfred Waterhouse in the Gothic Revival style and completed in 1881. Built of red brick with stone dressings it has steep slate roofs. The NHLE listing describes the church as a "good and complete example of the work of Waterhouse, economically planned and sensitively detailed". Original staircases, doors and interior fittings intact. Unusually the ground floor is occupied by a school room with the church on the first floor. It is believed to be the only church in the United Kingdom designed in this manner.The church was converted into a residential building in 2006. 23 one and two bedroom apartments were formed in the main church building, the congregation moved to a purpose built church building nearby that had an additional three apartments. The congregation decided to convert the building due to a dwindling attendance for worship and increasing vandalism that was expensive to repair. The architect Zoran Baros of Z Architecture and Design initially approached the church in 2000 and the works were eventually completed in 2006.

Prestwich Heys A.F.C. is a semi-professional football club based in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, England. Heys run one senior side competing in the North West Counties League Premier Division. Heys now have a Youth Team formed in the 2020–21 season ran by Nick Simister.
