Our Lady's Catholic High School is a Roman Catholic secondary school for girls situated in Stamford Hill, in the London Borough of Hackney, England.

St. Andrew, Stoke Newington, is a Grade II* listed Anglican parish church on Bethune Road in Stamford Hill (on the border of Stoke Newington), in the London Borough of Hackney, England. The church, which is dedicated to St Andrew, is located at the junction of Bethune Road and Dunsmure Road in London N16.

Lubavitch Senior Girls' School is a Jewish secondary school and sixth form for girls, located in the Stamford Hill area of the London Borough of Hackney in England. The schools is guided by the principles of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.First opened as an independent school in 1962, Lubavitch Senior Girls' School became a voluntary aided school in 2012 under the control of Hackney London Borough Council. In April 2018 Lubavitch Senior Girls' School converted to academy status and is now sponsored by The Lubavitch Multi Academy Trust. Lubavitch Senior Girls' School offers GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels. The curriculum of the school is divided between secular subjects (Chol) and religious studies (Kodesh). Secular subjects include Modern Hebrew, while religious studies include the Yiddish language and Jewish history.

Skinners' Academy (formerly The Skinners' Company's School for Girls) is a school in the Woodberry Down (North Hackney) community for boys and girls aged 11–19. The academy opened in 2010 and is supported by the Worshipful Company of Skinners, a London Livery Company. There are currently approximately 900 pupils on roll from Year 7 - Year 11 and over 100 Sixth Form students. More than 60% of the pupils speak English as an additional language and more than 86% of students are from ethnic minority backgrounds. In March 2017 the academy welcomed a short Ofsted inspection which resulted in the academy retaining its recognition as a 'Good' school.

Getters Talmud Torah also known as Beis Shlomo Cheder was an orthodox Jewish independent school in Stamford Hill, London. The school was associated with the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations and catered for boys aged 3 to 13. The head of the school was Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Rotenberg, the Kossoner Rabbi of London.

St Ann's Road railway station was opened by the Tottenham & Hampstead Junction Railway on 2 October 1882. It was at the corner of St Ann's Road and Seven Sisters Road in N15, in south west Tottenham, in the London Borough of Haringey. It comprised two wooden platforms, accessed by a footbridge and stairs, and a brick building. The service at the station was generally between St Pancras or Kentish Town and Barking or Southend, however at times trains ran to some other destinations including Cambridge, Chingford and Victoria.It was never well used, mainly as it was near South Tottenham and Seven Sisters stations, the latter gave a much faster link to The City. The station was closed on 9 August 1942 as a wartime austerity measure and never reopened. The station building survived as a newsagents until October 2012, when the building was demolished.

New River was a ward in the London Borough of Hackney and forms part of the Hackney North and Stoke Newington constituency. Consisting of an area of Stamford Hill the ward also incorporated the large council estate of Woodberry Down. The ward takes its name from the New River, built to supply London with drinking water in the early 17th century. The ward returned three councillors to the Borough Council, with elections every four years. At the previous election on 6 May 2010 Maureen Middleton (Conservative Party); and Labour Party candidates Michael Jones and Sean Mulready were returned. Turnout was 56%; with 3,956 votes cast.In 2011 New River ward had a total population of 12,551. This compared with the average ward population within the borough of 12,962.

Stamford Hill is an area in Inner London, England, about 5.5 miles north-east of Charing Cross. The neighbourhood is a sub-district of Hackney, the major component of the London Borough of Hackney, and is known for its Hasidic community, the largest concentration of Hasidic Jews in Europe. The district takes its name from the eponymous hill, which reaches a height of 33m AOD, and the originally Roman A10 also takes the name "Stamford Hill", as it makes its way through the area. The hill is believed to be named after the ford where the A10 crossed the Hackney Brook on the southern edge of the hill. Sanford and Saundfordhill are referred to in documents from the 1200s, and mean "sand Ford". Roque's map of 1745 shows a bridge, which replaced the ford, referred to as "Stamford Bridge".The hill rises gently from the former course of the Hackney Brook to the south, and its steeper northern slope provided a natural boundary for the traditional (parish and borough) extent of Hackney, and now does so for the wider modern borough.

St Ignatius Church, Stamford Hill, is a large, listed Roman Catholic parish church in the Archdiocese of Westminster ministered by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) who founded it in 1894. It is on the corner of Stamford Hill and St. Ann's Road, at the junction with Tottenham High Road, in the London Borough of Haringey, close to the border with the London Borough of Hackney, north London.

At the previous election on 6 May 2010 Bernard Aussenberg (Conservative Party), and Labour Party candidates Edward Brown and Daniel Stevens, were returned. Turnout was 62%; with 4,803 votes cast.On 11 April 2014, Cllr Stevens resigned leaving a vacancy until the council elections are fought on new ward boundaries in May.In 2001, Lordship ward had a total population of 11,288. This compares with the average ward population within the borough of 10,674.

Yesodey Hatorah Senior Girls' School is a state-funded Jewish secondary school for girls, located in the Stamford Hill area of the London Borough of Hackney, in England. The school primarily serves the Charedi Jewish community of Stamford Hill. The school has been rated "inadequate" by Ofsted for the highly restrictive education it provided to its pupils. The Charedi community does not have access to television, the Internet, or other media, and members of the community aim to lead modest lives governed by the codes of Torah observance. In 2008, it emerged that nine pupils, supported by their parents, had refused to sit a Key Stage 3 Shakespeare test on The Tempest because they felt the character of Shylock in The Merchant of Venice was anti-semitic. There have also been recurring controversies at the school due to failures to teach sex education, the theory of evolution, or various aspects of British history.

South Tottenham is a railway station on the east–west Gospel Oak to Barking Line of the London Overground. It is located on the eastern side of the north–south A10 High Road in Tottenham, North London, 5 miles 69 chains (9.4 km) from St Pancras (measured via Kentish Town and Mortimer Street Junction) and situated between Harringay Green Lanes and Blackhorse Road. It is in Zone 3, in the London Borough of Haringey. South Tottenham to Seven Sisters station (on the western, Seven Sisters Branch of the Lea Valley Lines and on the London Underground Victoria line) is considered an official out-of-station interchange by the National Rail timetable, and involves a short walk. This link will become fixed under the planned route for Crossrail 2, which sees a double-ended underground station built linking together South Tottenham and Seven Sisters stations.
