Saint Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, also known as St. Francis Xavier Church, is a historic Roman Catholic church building in the Toulminville neighborhood of Mobile, Alabama, United States. It serves as the parish church for St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mobile. St. Francis Xavier Parish was established in 1868. The vernacular style building was completed in 1916, replacing a previous structure destroyed in a hurricane. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 3, 1991, as part of the Historic Roman Catholic Properties in Mobile Multiple Property Submission.

WABF (1480 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Mobile, Alabama. It is owned by Donald Pugh, through licensee Eternity Media Group WABF, LLC, broadcasting an oldies and adult standards radio format. WABF's radio studios are on North Church Street in Fairhope. By day, WABF is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional. At night, to avoid interference to other stations on 1480 AM, WABF reduces power to 4,400 watts and uses a directional antenna. The transmitter is on Dumaine Road at Conception Street Road in Mobile. WABF shares its transmitter site with co-owned WERM (1220 AM). The current hosts are Lori DuBose and Mark Swalley.

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church No.1 is a historic Missionary Baptist church building in Mobile, Alabama. The church was built in 1916 by the local African American community. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2008, based on its architectural significance.

Toulminville is a neighborhood of Mobile, Alabama, United States. It began as a small settlement on the property of Harry Theophilus Toulmin, who served as Sheriff of Mobile County in the 1830s. During the American Civil War, Toulminville was mapped along the Mobile and Ohio Railroad as a significant settlement, northwest of Mobile (see map). In 1945, the remainder of Toulminville was annexed into the city of Mobile. The area of Toulminville has varied over the past decades from being an upper-middle class suburb to having a serious crime problem during most of the 1980s and 1990s, although the trend has been reversed in recent years.

The Lafayette Heights Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. The neighborhood lies to the northwest of downtown Mobile, straddling St. Stephens Road and centered on Lafayette Street. During the Civil War, the area was the site of the city's earthwork defenses. It began to develop around 1892 as a working- and lower-middle-class neighborhood of mostly modest one-story homes, with larger homes along Lafayette Street. Architectural styles reflect those popular at the time, including Victorian, Classical Revival, Four square, Craftsman, and Minimal Traditional, and some early Ranches. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The Davis Avenue Recreation Center is a historic recreation facility in Mobile, Alabama. The facility was established in 1921 as the first public leisure center for African Americans in segregated Mobile. Initially known as the Davis Avenue Community House, it also featured tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a small park. The need for a larger facility was soon realized, and in 1936 the current structure was completed. It was the only public recreation facility in Mobile built using Works Progress Administration funds. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2011, due to its significance to the African American history in the city.

John L. LeFlore Magnet High School of Advanced Communication and Fine Arts is a historic public magnet performing arts high school located in Toulminville, Mobile, Alabama, United States. The school is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It currently enrolls 947 students in grades 9-12, and is a part of the Mobile County Public School System. The school offers Drafting, Engineering, Moving Images Dance Company Photography, Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Sculpting & Pottery, Television Productions, and Theatre. Its curriculum includes communication, fine arts, performing arts, technical, and career-driven classes.

The Dave Patton House is a historic house in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The two-story structure was built for Dave Patton, a local African American entrepreneur. He purchased this property in 1900 and completed the Mediterranean Revival style house, designed by local architect George Bigelow Rogers, in 1915.Dave Patton was born in 1879 and began his career using two mules to haul merchandise for local merchants. He gradually built up his own business, becoming a prominent real estate entrepreneur and contractor. He is known to have built many of the area's roads and schools. Patton died in 1927. The property eventually passed into the ownership of the Stewart Memorial C.M.E. Church and today serves as the parsonage for that church. The house is included on the African American Heritage Trail of Mobile and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 12, 1987.

The Campground Historic District, also known as The Campground is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. Named for the Old Camp Ground, a military encampment that occupied the property during the American Civil War, this historically African-American neighborhood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2005. It is roughly bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Rylands Street, St. Stephens Road, and Ann Street. The district covers 370 acres (1.5 km2) and contains 166 contributing buildings. The houses range from shotgun houses to bungalows and date from the late 19th century to the middle 20th century.

The Hawthorn House was a historic house in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, on a brick foundation, was built in 1853 in the Gulf Coast Cottage style by Joshua K. Hawthorn. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 21, 1984, based on its architectural significance. The house was demolished in October 2021.

WNTM (710 AM) is a talk radio station based in Mobile, Alabama. The station calls itself "News Radio 710." WNTM is owned by San Antonio-based iHeartMedia and the broadcast license is held by iHM Licenses, LLC. Its studios are located in the same building as Channel 5 WKRG-TV on Broadcast Drive in Mobile, and the transmitter is just north of downtown. (Both stations had been co-owned at one time.) WKRG-TV supplies local news and weather, while Fox News Radio supplies national newscasts.

Congregation Sha'arai Shomayim is the oldest Jewish congregation in the state of Alabama and one of the oldest Reform Jewish congregations in the United States. Located in Mobile, the congregation was formally organized in 1844. The current synagogue for the congregation is the Springhill Avenue Temple.
