Dave Patton House

The Davis Avenue Recreation Center is a historic recreation facility in Mobile, Alabama. The facility was established in 1921 as the first public leisure center for African Americans in segregated Mobile. Initially known as the Davis Avenue Community House, it also featured tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a small park. The need for a larger facility was soon realized, and in 1936 the current structure was completed. It was the only public recreation facility in Mobile built using Works Progress Administration funds. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2011, due to its significance to the African American history in the city.

The Campground Historic District, also known as The Campground is a historic district in the city of Mobile, Alabama, United States. Named for the Old Camp Ground, a military encampment that occupied the property during the American Civil War, this historically African-American neighborhood was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 7, 2005. It is roughly bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Rylands Street, St. Stephens Road, and Ann Street. The district covers 370 acres (1.5 km2) and contains 166 contributing buildings. The houses range from shotgun houses to bungalows and date from the late 19th century to the middle 20th century.

The Lafayette Heights Historic District is a historic district in Mobile, Alabama. The neighborhood lies to the northwest of downtown Mobile, straddling St. Stephens Road and centered on Lafayette Street. During the Civil War, the area was the site of the city's earthwork defenses. It began to develop around 1892 as a working- and lower-middle-class neighborhood of mostly modest one-story homes, with larger homes along Lafayette Street. Architectural styles reflect those popular at the time, including Victorian, Classical Revival, Four square, Craftsman, and Minimal Traditional, and some early Ranches. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church No.1 is a historic Missionary Baptist church building in Mobile, Alabama. The church was built in 1916 by the local African American community. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2008, based on its architectural significance.

Bishop State Community College (BSCC) is a public, historically black community college with campuses and facilities throughout Mobile and Washington Counties in Alabama. The college was founded in Mobile, Alabama, in 1927, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. It offers more than 50 associate degree and certificate programs.BSCC's athletic teams compete in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). They are collectively known as the Wildcats.

The Weems House, also known as Fowler Cottage, is a historic residence in Mobile, Alabama. Completed in 1870, the one-story frame structure is a late example of the Greek Revival-style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 7, 1982. The house functioned as a private residence until July 18, 1991, when it was purchased by the Dragons Civic and Social Club, a local fraternal organization.

The Caldwell School is a historic former black school building in Mobile, Alabama. The school, originally named the Broad Street Academy, was the first public high school for African Americans in the city. It was founded in 1887, with William A. Caldwell serving as the first principal.The original building was torn down and replaced with the current one in 1947. Upon reopening in the new building, it served as an African American elementary school. It was called the Caldwell School in honor of its first principal from this point until closing during the 1960s.Following the closure of the school the building was purchased by Bishop State Community College, a historically African American junior college. It is currently the oldest building on the Broad Street college campus and is utilized for administrative and teaching purposes. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 20, 2011.

The Tschiener House, also known as the Dumas School, was a historic residence in Mobile, Alabama, United States. The Carpenter Gothic structure was built in 1866. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 18, 1982. It was later destroyed by fire. One former outbuilding remains at the site.

Aimwell Baptist Church is a historic African American church in Mobile, Alabama. The Baptist congregation was established in 1890 by two brothers. It took two years for the erection of the first building. The current building, with Gothic Revival influences, was designed in 1946 by Nathaniel Heningburg and incorporates elements from the original structure. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2008.

Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church is a Catholic church in Mobile, Alabama administered by the Josephites. The Knights of Peter Claver, the largest and oldest Black Catholic organization in the United States, was founded by congregants and priests from the parish in 1909. Its clergy and congregation later took an active role in the Civil Rights Movement.

Mobile City Hospital, also known as Old Mobile General Hospital, is a historic Greek Revival hospital building in Mobile, Alabama, United States. It was built in 1830 by Thomas S. James and served as a hospital for the city of Mobile from 1831 until 1966. It was administered for the city by the Sisters of Charity throughout a large part of its history. Residents of the city were treated here during epidemics of yellow fever and during the American Civil War. It was converted to office space after 1966. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 26, 1970. The building is adjacent to the old U.S. Marine Hospital, which is also on the National Register.

The United States Marine Hospital, formerly known as Frank S. Keeler Memorial Hospital, is a historic Greek Revival hospital building in Mobile, Alabama, United States. Construction began in 1838 and was completed in 1842. It was designed by architect Frederick Bunnell and was operated by the Marine Hospital Service from its opening until it closed, in 1952. It treated injured Confederate and Union soldiers during the American Civil War. It shares some design features, such as its two-story colonnades, with its neighbor, the old Mobile City Hospital. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 1974. The Mobile County Board of Health acquired the title to the property from the Tuberculosis Association on October 23, 1975. By 1983 the board had created an adjoining new structure to the rear of the main structure and restored the historic building. The facility was rededicated as the Major General William C. Gorgas Clinic in 1984.
