Home Place, also called Voewood, is an Arts and Crafts style house in High Kelling, near Holt, Norfolk, England, designed (1903–5) by Edward Schroeder Prior. It is a Grade II* listed building. The gardens, also designed by Prior, are Grade II* listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.Home Place is perhaps one of the greatest achievements of house design of the Arts and Crafts movement. More than almost any other building of the period the house fulfils the ideals for architecture developed by John Ruskin and William Morris. The design of Home Place saw Prior return to and extend further the aspects of design that had preoccupied him in The Barn, Exmouth. In the designing and building of Home Place many of his philosophical ideas found physical expression. Its design and construction were characterised by the use of radical planning and forms, innovative technologies, such as the use of reinforced concrete, extensive external decoration, a distinct building philosophy involving craftsmanship and the use of quality local materials and the integration of the building and its interiors with the garden and its surroundings.

Farfield is one of the seven boarding houses at Gresham's, an English public school at Holt, Norfolk. Farfield is currently home to approximately fifty boys.

Gresham's School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) in Holt, Norfolk, England, one of the top thirty International Baccalaureate schools in England.The school was founded in 1555 by Sir John Gresham as a free grammar school for forty boys, following King Henry VIII's dissolution of Beeston Priory. The founder left the school's endowments in the hands of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers of the City of London, who are still the school's trustees. In the 1890s, an increase in the rental income of property in the City of London led to a major expansion of the school, which built many new buildings on land it owned on the eastern edge of Holt, including several new boarding houses as well as new teaching buildings, library and chapel. Gresham's began to admit girls in 1971 and is now fully co-educational. As well as its senior school, it operates a preparatory and a nursery and pre-prep school, the latter now in the Old School House, the historic home of the school. Altogether, the three schools teach about eight hundred children.

High Kelling is a village and civil parish in the north of the English county of Norfolk. The village is located on the A148 road which links Cromer to King's Lynn. The village is 1.7 miles east of the town of Holt, and 7.8 miles west of Cromer. High Kelling is within the area covered by North Norfolk District Council. In the last Census, carried out in 2001, the population of High Kelling was counted as 515, increasing to 636 at the 2011 census.

Hempstead Watermill is a disused watermill 1.7 miles south east of the town of Holt in the English county of Norfolk. The mill stands on the River Glaven and the lane between Holt and the village of Hempstead. The mill was built in 1830 by Richard John Gurney and was originally called Holt Watermill.

Kelling Hall is a Grade II* listed building situated in the civil parish of Kelling in the English county of Norfolk. It is 0.7 miles from the parish of Holt and overlooks the North Norfolk coastline at a height of 171 feet above sea level. The grounds consist of 1,600 acres and originally came with seven cottages, 11 holiday properties and 10 homes in the village of Holt. It was built in 1913 for Henri Deterding, who was one of the founders of the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company. It is noted as being the first design by the architect Sir Edward Maufe who designed it in the Arts and Craft style with a butterfly plan. The hall has a shooting lodge, tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. It has five main reception rooms and thirteen bedrooms. The hall was privately owned by James Deterding, the grandson of Henri, until September 2008 when it was sold for £25,000,000 to the recycling tycoon Gary Widdowson, who now resides there with his family. The seven cottages, 11 holiday properties and 10 homes in Holt that originally came with Kelling Hall, now belong to Kelling Estates, who operate a luxury holiday business. It was once the home of film star Richard Greene, best known as Robin Hood in the 1950's TV series.

Kelling Heath is an 89.4-hectare (221-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest between Holt and Weybourne in Norfolk. It is in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Holt railway station was a railway station, since closed and dismantled, that served the town of Holt in Norfolk, England. It was part of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway network, which spread over much of East Anglia, providing connections to Cromer, Norwich and Yarmouth. Closed in 1964, there are proposals to rebuild the line through the locality as part of an orbital railway scheme.

Holt Lowes is a 49.9-hectare (123-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Cromer in Norfolk. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade 2, and part of the Norfolk Valley Fens Special Area of Conservation.This site is mainly dry and sandy heath in the valley of the River Glaven, with a mire along a tributary which runs through the heath. Ground flora includes wood horsetail at its only known location in East Anglia.The site is open to the public.

Kelling (also known as Low Kelling and as Lower Kelling) is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 10.1 miles (16.3 km) west of Cromer, 26 miles (42 km) north of Norwich, and 130 miles (210 km) northeast of London. The village straddles the A149 Coast road between Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth. The villages name means 'Cylla's/Ceolla's people'.The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer, and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The village lies within the Norfolk Coast AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Changes in government policy have discontinued management of coastal erosion in North Norfolk.

There is also a village called Hempstead near Stalham, also in North Norfolk.Hempstead is a village and civil parish in the north of the English county of Norfolk. The village is 2.7 miles south-southeast of the town of Holt, and 11.2 miles west of Cromer. Hempstead is within the area covered by North Norfolk District Council. In the last Census, carried out in 2001, the population of Hempstead was counted as 179, the population slightly reducing to 177 at the 2011 Census.In the fifteenth century the Stapleton family held the manor of Hempstead. It passed by marriage to the Calthorpe family, who remained there until the 1570s.

Holt is a market town, civil parish and electoral ward in the English county of Norfolk. The town is 22.8 miles (36.7 km) north of the city of Norwich, 9.5 miles (15.3 km) west of Cromer and 35 miles (56 km) east of King's Lynn. The town has a population of 3,550, rising and including the ward to 3,810 at the 2011 census. Holt is within the area covered by North Norfolk District Council. Holt has a heritage railway station; it is the south-western terminus of the preserved North Norfolk Railway, known as the Poppy Line.
