Sorbonne University
Sorbonne University (French: Sorbonne Université) is a research university located in Paris, France. The institution's legacy reaches back to 1257 when Sorbonne College was established by Robert de Sorbon as part of the medieval University of Paris. The latter was then divided into 13 universities in 1970 (of which Paris-Saclay University being ranked first in France and 13th in the world), and all holding the same legacy of the dissolved University of Paris. Sorbonne University is now one of the most prestigious universities in Europe and the world; as of 2021, its alumni and professors have won 33 Nobel Prizes, six Fields Medals, and one Turing Award.
