Three PNC Plaza

Two PNC Plaza (once known as Equibank Plaza) is a high-rise office building located in the Golden Triangle of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Constructed in 1976, it is 446 feet (136 m) in height and has 34 stories, making it the tallest of three buildings in PNC Plaza. In order to make room for the structure, a through street called Oliver Avenue was closed.The structure was built by Equibank, one of the Pittsburgh region's three major financial institutions, and was completed four years after and only a few feet away from One PNC Plaza, the home of their major rival (which was then named Pittsburgh National Bank). Equibank went into a sharp decline in the 1980s due to poor investments surrounding a Florida housing bubble and a series of defaulted loans from newly privatized South American companies. Simultaneously, PNC was growing and began expanding into their rival's building next door. PNC eventually not only acquired the building but also a portion of Equibank's operations (the company was merged with the smaller Integra Bank in 1992, Integra was purchased by National City Corp. in 1995, and PNC purchased National City in 2008); PNC and KeyBank currently operate many former Equibank branches.

The Buhl Building is a historic commercial building in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Built in 1913 in the Italianate style, the building is faced with multi-colored terra cotta tiles.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 3, 1980. As well, it is listed as a landmark by the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.

The First National Bank Building was a high-rise building erected in 1909 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The building was later enlarged to a 26-story, 118 m (387 ft) skyscraper, making it the tallest in the city when the renovations were completed in 1912. Tenants moved in on April 1, 1912, with the building's fireproofing prominently advertised.

One PNC Plaza is a high-rise office building located in the Golden Triangle neighborhood of the Central Business District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Constructed in 1972, it is 129.24 m (424.0 ft) 30 stories. It houses the general offices for PNC Financial Services. The building is the former location of PNC's corporate headquarters before completion of the Tower at PNC Plaza. The building was constructed on the site of the former First National Bank Building, a 26-story 1912 beaux-arts tower, that was only 11 m (36 ft) shorter.

EQT Plaza, formerly known as the CNG Tower and later the Dominion Tower, is a major and distinctive skyscraper in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The structure was built for Consolidated Natural Gas, a regional energy company. In 1999, CNG was purchased by Dominion Energy, which moved out of the building in 2007. During the summer of 2009, EQT Corporation moved its corporate headquarters and several business units from the 6-story building EQT had built and moved into in 2005, just across the Allegheny River in the North Shore neighborhood of the city.

Tower Two-Sixty, alternatively known as “The Gardens at Market Square” or “The Gardens,” is a Millcraft Investments skyscraper in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Construction began in 2013 and was substantially completed in 2016. The $107 million, LEED CS Silver-certified tower consists of 18 floors and is located the Market Square and Point Park University sections of Downtown Pittsburgh. The tower includes a 197-room Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and Market Square Garage, 321-car parking complex managed by Alco Parking. It includes 20,000 square feet of street level retail space, 130,000 square feet of Class-A "tower office" floor space and multiple restaurants. Revel + Roost, previously known as Roost Fifty New American Kitchen, is a two-floor restaurant. Roost hosts upscale dining on the second floor, while Revel has an ultra-lounge atmosphere downstairs. Pirata is another restaurant tenant, offering Caribbean-style food and more than 200 rums. Pizzuvio, a fine casual Neapolitan pizzeria with handmade wood-fired ovens, is also located in the tower. Millie’s, a second location Pittsburgh-based small batch ice creamery originating in Shadyside. In 2015, it was announced that commercial real estate company JLL would be the building’s anchor and namesake tenant, and re-identify the building as JLL Center at Tower Two-Sixty. JLL also serves as the building’s property manager. Other tenants in the building include Merrill Lynch, Coury Financial Group, McGuireWoods, and Millcraft itself.Millcraft, JLL, and its partners have received several awards for Tower Two-Sixty including the Urban Land Institute award for Transformative Place, Master Builders’ Association of Western Pennsylvania Award, NAIOP Pittsburgh’s Best Mixed Use Project .

Heinz Hall is a performing arts center and concert hall located at 600 Penn Avenue in the Cultural District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Home to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) and the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, the 2,676 seat hall presents about 200 performances each year. Originally built in 1927 as Loew's Penn Theatre, the former movie palace was renovated and reopened as Heinz Hall in 1971.

The Farmers Bank Building was a 27-story, 105 m (344 ft) skyscraper in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania completed in 1902 and demolished on May 25, 1997. The University of Pittsburgh's online digital library states the building was constructed in 1903 and had 24 stories. To a generation of Pittsburgh sports fans the building is well remembered for being resurfaced in the mid 1960 in a failed rehabilitation but also fondly for a 15 story high mural of Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, Jack Lambert, Mean Joe Greene and Mario Lemieux completed in 1992 by Judy Penzer, who was killed in the crash of TWA Flight 800 four years later. For the five years the mural existed it was often the centerpiece for national networks cutting to or from games while they were in town for sporting events. Rockwell International owned the building starting in the mid-1960s and used it as its global headquarters, selling it in early 1972 and consolidating its headquarters staff in the U.S. Steel Tower blocks away.The building was imploded by Controlled Demolition, Inc. on the afternoon of May 25, 1997. In its place, a low-rise department store named Lazarus was built on the site. That building has since been extensively redesigned and now operates as a condominium development named Piatt Place.

Allegheny City was a municipality that existed in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania from 1788 until it was annexed by Pittsburgh in 1907. It was located north across the Allegheny River from downtown Pittsburgh, with its southwest border formed by the Ohio River, and is known today as the North Side. The city's waterfront district, along the Allegheny and Ohio rivers, became Pittsburgh's North Shore neighborhood. The area of Allegheny City included the present Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Allegheny Center, Allegheny West, Brighton Heights, California-Kirkbride, Central Northside, Chateau, East Allegheny, Fineview, Manchester, Marshall-Shadeland, North Shore, Northview Heights, Perry North, Perry South, Spring Garden, Spring Hill–City View, Summer Hill, and Troy Hill.

Downtown Pittsburgh, colloquially referred to as the Golden Triangle, and officially the Central Business District, is the urban downtown center of Pittsburgh. It is located at the confluence of the Allegheny River and the Monongahela River whose joining forms the Ohio River. The triangle is bounded by the two rivers. The area features offices for major corporations such as PNC Bank, U.S. Steel, PPG, Bank of New York Mellon, Heinz, Federated Investors, and Alcoa. It is where the fortunes of such industrial barons as Andrew Carnegie, Henry Clay Frick, Henry J. Heinz, Andrew Mellon and George Westinghouse were made. It contains the site where the French fort, Fort Duquesne, once stood.

K&L Gates Center is a skyscraper office building located in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The building (long known as One Oliver Plaza and briefly as FreeMarkets Center and later Ariba Center) was completed in 1968. It has 39 floors, and rises 511 feet (156 meters) above downtown Pittsburgh. The building sits at the intersection of Liberty Avenue, Sixth Avenue and Wood Street. Facing the EQT Plaza tower across the street, it shares a city block with One PNC Plaza, Two PNC Plaza and Three PNC Plaza; this "superblock" was created by the closing of part of Oliver Avenue in the late 1960s. Located across the building is Wood Street Station, a subway station on Pittsburgh's light rail network. In 2007, the international law firm K&L Gates entered into an agreement to become the largest tenant in the building by 2010. In 2009, extensive construction began on the building lobby, the exterior facade of the first two floors and the plazas surrounding the building. The K&L Gates signage replaced Ariba at the top of the building. K&L Gates also removed a sculpture in the building's lobby in order to maintain a consistent decor. The artwork, a large enamel-on-steel mural by Virgil Cantini, has been donated to the University of Pittsburgh by the building's owner. The lobby was reopened in February, 2010. In March 2010, K&L Gates became the building’s largest tenant, having sponsored both the renaming of the building and a revitalization of the building’s ground-floor lobby, exterior entry facade and adjoining plaza.Among the building's artwork is a new, illuminated entry portal connecting the building with the street, with five "Light Columns" created by artist Cerith Wyn Evans illuminating the interior space as well as the outside plaza. These columns are complemented by the neon wall sculpture "Mobius Strip", also by Wyn Evans, at the entry reception desk. The use of light within architectural environments is a cornerstone of Wyn Evans’s practice, with this site-specific piece having been created exclusively for the K&L Gates Center.

Market Square is a public space located in Downtown Pittsburgh at the intersection of Forbes Avenue (originally named Diamond Way in colonial times) and Market Street. The square was home to the first courthouse, first jail (both in 1795) and the first newspaper (1786) west of the Atlantic Plain, the Pittsburgh Gazette. A public/private modernization in the late 2000s has re-established the square as a social and cultural hub. A great number of restaurants, ranging from fast casual to fine dining, cafes and retailers occupy ground level buildings immediately facing the square, while housing units and offices occupy upper levels.
