International British School of Bucharest (abbreviated IBSB; formerly Fundatia International British School of Bucharest) is a British school in Bucharest, Romania. The school was established in September 2000. The school serves students 3–19 years old by providing a holistic British educational experience. It is accredited by Cambridge University as an international examination centre. Students from 30 different nationalities learn at this school. The school provides a co-educational environment for children with a curriculum based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. The curriculum leads to Cambridge University IGCSE examinations in Year 11. The International A Level is taught in Year 12 and Year 13. There are 28 examinable subjects available, and students are also entered for Cambridge Checkpoint exams. Romanian is taught as a language along with French, Spanish and German. The teaching body is a blend of British and local Romanian graduate teachers. IBSB has no more than 23 students in each year group. All junior classes have assistant teachers alongside a British professional. The school is housed in purpose designed buildings close to the city center. The school can be accessed by bus or by the city metro. The secondary school contains a dedicated science laboratory and ICT suite. There is a substantial play area to the front of the school. The school provides a bus service, hot lunches and an extensive program of after school activities. There is also a program of Saturday morning revision classes for senior students on examination programs. The academic year is 180 days for students and the year always begins in September. School uniform is worn, as in England, and a school prefect system and student council are in operation. The school has an open admissions policy and children are placed according to their ages and abilities. The school runs between 08.30 and 16.00, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30 – 15.00 on Friday. The students have a great time with their peers and teachers, it is a friendly place were students learn and make new friends.

The Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film, Bucharest (Romanian: Universitatea Națională de Artă Teatrală și Cinematografică "I.L. Caragiale") is a public university in Bucharest, Romania, founded in 1954. It is named in honour of playwright Ion Luca Caragiale.

Piața Iancului is a metro station in Bucharest. It is located in the Iancului district near the Iulia Hasdeu National College, on the Pache Popescu/Șoseaua Iancului – Șoseaua Mihai Bravu junction. Lines served by STB are 1, 10, 46 and 55 (trams), 135, 311, 330 and 335 (buses). The N102 also comes here at night. The station was opened on 17 August 1989 as part of the extension from Gara de Nord to Dristor.

Iancului is the name of a district in Sector 2 (Bucharest) situated in the northeastern part of Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Piața Iancului is also the name of an intersection in the same district, and has a connection to the Piața Iancului metro station. The name "Iancu" comes from a Romanian revolutionary, Avram Iancu.

Apartment Building 63, also called Commune 63 (Romanian Comuna 63) is an apartment building located in the Dristor neighbourhood in the south-eastern part of Bucharest (Sectorul 3) and it is the largest single residential building in Romania with a total of 950 one-room apartments, and holding just over 1,600 residents. The building is nicknamed the commune because of the large number of apartments that could house an entire village or commune, and because of the long corridors that stretch from one end of the building to the other and resemble a long country road. The apartment building has four staircases of 10 floors each and is built in the shape of a giant Z with an extension in the southern part of the structure. It is located near the Dristor metro station, a major node of the Bucharest Metro's railway network.

Dudești (Romanian pronunciation: [duˈdeʃtʲ]) is a neighbourhood in Sector 3 of Bucharest. It is located in the south-eastern part of the city, along Calea Dudești. Nearby neighbourhoods include Vitan, Văcărești, and Dristor. The neolithic Dudești culture (5th-4th millennium BC), which encompassed most of the Wallachian Plain and Dobruja, gets its name from this region of Bucharest, as this was the first place where its archeological remains were found. Originally a village, it was included in Bucharest as it expanded. Its name is related to the Wallachian aristocratic family of the Dudești, with an etymology leading back to the Romanian dud, "mulberry tree" and the suffix -ești. During the first reign of Alexander Mourousis as Prince of Wallachia, in the context of a bubonic plague outbreak, it became the site of a quarantined hospital for the afflicted. Unlike other nearby areas, most of the neighbourhood escaped Nicolae Ceaușescu's plans of demolition, though parts of it were demolished to make room for some construction projects. A big tram depot and the Bucharest Mall are located nearby.

Dristor is a major metro station in Bucharest. It is located on the Bd. Camil Ressu – Șoseaua Mihai Bravu – Calea Dudești junction. The part of the station at the end of metro line 1 is called Dristor 2; the other half of the station is Dristor 1, where trains of metro line M1/M3 pass through. Having two separately named parts of the station can cause confusion for people because both parts of the station have metro line M1 either passing through, which occurs at Dristor 1, or terminating and beginning service at Dristor 2. Signs guide passenger to either terminals. Dristor 1 is where M3 service and through M1 service stops. It is above Dristor 2 and has one island platform. Dristor 2 has one island platform and is the terminus of line M1. A passageway at the south end of the platform connects it to Dristor 1. The station was opened on 28 December 1981 as part of the section between Timpuri Noi and Republica. On 17 August 1989, the section between Dristor and Gara de Nord was opened.

Dristor is a neighborhood located in the southeastern part of Bucharest, Romania. It is bordered to the north by Baba Novac Street, to the south by Răcari Street, to the west by Mihai Bravu Street, and to the east by Fizicienilor Street. Nearby districts include Dudești, Vitan, Văcărești, and Titan. The Dristor metro station is a major node of Bucharest Metro's network. Before the 1960s, there were no apartment buildings in the area; however, the first buildings were completed between 1961 and 1963, at the same time when the Comuna 63 building was completed (they were part of the initial development of the nearby Titan housing estate). The houses were mostly demolished in stages and then replaced by apartment buildings later in 1976–1977 and 1984–1989.

Arena Națională (Romanian pronunciation: [aˈrena natsi.oˈnalə]) is a retractable roof football stadium in Bucharest, Romania. It opened in 2011 on the site of the original National Stadium, which was demolished between 2007 and 2008. The stadium hosts major football matches including home matches of the Romania national football team, and usually Romanian Cup Final. With 55,634 seats, it is the largest stadium in Romania and now serves primarily as the home of Liga I club FCSB. Designed by Gerkan, Marg and Partners, the stadium was built by German firm Max Bögl and Italian firm Astaldi. The stadium has a retractable roof which covers the playing surface. In addition to Romania home games and the Romanian Cup final, the stadium also hosts other major games in Romanian football, including the season-opening Supercupa României. A UEFA category four stadium, Arena Națională hosted the 2012 UEFA Europa League Final, and four games at UEFA Euro 2020 (including the Round of 16). The stadium has also been used as the venue for The International 2021, the annual Dota 2 world championship esports tournament. Arena Națională has hosted concerts by Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode, and Ed Sheeran.

The Iulia Hasdeu National College (Romanian: Colegiul Național Iulia Hasdeu) is a high school located in the eastern part of Bucharest, Romania, right at the crossroad of Ferdinand I Boulevard and Mihai Bravu Highway. It is one of the most prestigious secondary education institutions in Bucharest. It was named after poet Iulia Hasdeu.
