Universitate metro station

University Square (Romanian: Piața Universității) is located in downtown Bucharest, near the University of Bucharest. It is served by Universitate metro station. Four statues can be found in the University Square, in front of the university; they depict Ion Heliade Rădulescu (1879), Michael the Brave (1874), Gheorghe Lazăr (1889) and Spiru Haret (1932). The Ion Luca Caragiale Bucharest National Theatre and the Intercontinental Hotel (one of the tallest buildings in Bucharest) are also located near University Square. University Square marks the northeastern boundary of the Old Center of Bucharest. Since the end of 2014, after a project costing up to 65 million euros, the National Theatre has a new face, dominated by futuristic elements.

Sector 3 (Sectorul 3 in Romanian) is an administrative unit of Bucharest. It is the most populous, most densely populated and also the third-largest division of the city. Actually, at its total population of over 460 thousand, it is the second-most populated administrative area of Romania, only after the capital city. It is also the most important of all six sectors of Bucharest, as it includes the Downtown Bucharest, the Kilometre Zero and other significant landmarks. It is bordered by Sector 2 to the North, Ilfov County to the East, Sector 4 to the South, Sector 5 to the Southwest and Sector 1 to the Northwest. The largest and most populous district of Sector 3 is Titan. Lipscani, colloquially known as oldtown is the center of the nightlife in Bucharest, and also the biggest attraction for foreign tourists. Also notable, the Bucharest Mall is located inside the Vitan district of the Sector 3. Two of the sector's districts have been described as the most pleasant by Bucharest citizens.

Sector 5 (Sectorul 5 in Romanian) is an administrative unit of Bucharest.

Sector 1 is an administrative unit of Bucharest located in the northern part of the city. It contains also the northwestern districts of Băneasa and Pipera. Sector 1 is thought to be the wealthiest sector in Bucharest. Like each of Bucharest sectors, there is a Local Court (Judecătoria Sectorului 1), which it submits to the Bucharest Tribunal (Tribunalul București).

Sector 2 (Sectorul 2 in Romanian) is an administrative unit of Bucharest.

Turnul Colţei (also Turnul Colțea or Colții) was a tower located in Bucharest, Wallachia, now in Romania. Having a height of 50 metres (160 feet), it was the highest building in the city for more than a century. Its initial purpose was to be used as a bell tower — its 1,700 kg (3,700 lb) bell, was moved to the Sinaia Monastery after the tower was demolished. It was also meant to serve as a watch tower.The tower was named after Vornic Colțea Doicescu. His brother, Udrea Doicesu, built a small wooden church on the plot near the tower; after he was assassinated, the church and the land next to it were inherited by Colțea, who donated them to the Orthodox Church. The Church sold the patch of land near the church to Spătar Mihai Cantacuzino, who, in 1701, used it as the location for the first hospital in Wallachia, the Colțea Hospital, and also decided to build a tower.The tower was built between 1709 and 1714, its construction being assisted by the Swedish soldiers of the army of King Charles XII, who had fled to Wallachia after the disastrous defeat at the Battle of Poltava. Mihai Cantacuzino kept his secret archive inside the tower.An earthquake on October 14, 1802 of magnitude 7.7 to 7.9 destroyed the top part of the tower, including its clock; in 1888, it was demolished completely. Two years later, in 1890, another structure was built as a watch tower, Foișorul de Foc.

The Grand Hotel Bucharest is a 24-story 87 m (285 ft) high-rise five-star hotel situated near University Square, Bucharest, in Sector 1. Opened in 1971 as the Inter-Continental Bucharest, it is a city landmark.

The Colțea Church (Romanian: Biserica Colțea) is a Romanian Orthodox church located at 1 I. C. Brătianu Boulevard, just off University Square in Bucharest, Romania. It is dedicated to the Three Holy Hierarchs.

Lăptăria lui Enache (literally "Enache's Milk Bar") was one of the top bars in Bucharest, Romania. Located in a slightly curved space above the main halls of Bucharest National Theatre on Piaţa Universităţii (University Square, Bucharest), the bar is one of the city's best-known gathering spots and music venues. The lobby was decorated with Tristan Tzara and Dadaist memorabilia. During the summer, operations moved to an adjacent terrace (known as La Motor or La Motoare) on the roof of the theatre. Webcasts of music from Lăptăria lui Enache occur on Friday and Saturday evenings (Eastern European Time).
