Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital

Highlands is a heritage-listed private residence located at 9 Highlands Avenue, Wahroonga in the Hornsby Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by John Horbury Hunt and built from 1890 to 1893. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Asquith Girls High School, (abbreviated as AGHS) is a government-funded comprehensive single-sex secondary day school for girls, located on Stokes Avenue, Asquith, an upper north shore suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1959 to replace the Hornsby Home Science School, the school enrolled approximately 820 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 32 percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education in accordance with a curriculum developed by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority; the principal is Elizabeth Amvrazis. The school's brother school is the Asquith Boys High School.

Waitara railway station is located on the North Shore line, serving the Sydney suburb of Waitara. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 North Shore line services. And is the last station on the North Shore Line (Hornsby-Wynyard) that does not have a lift.

Hornsby Maintenance Depot is a train depot in the northern Sydney suburb of Asquith, New South Wales, Australia, that primarily services the Sydney Trains fleet. It is located to the north of Hornsby station, a major interchange on the Sydney Trains network, and alongside the Main North line. The depot opened in 1928 and was one of four electric train depots built under the Bradfield electrification plan, the other depots being at Mortdale, Flemington and Punchbowl (later closed).The depot features nine roads under the main shed (numbered 1–9), five outdoor roads (numbered 11–15), two of which (11 and 12) are elevated, a train washing facility (16 road) and several short outdoor storage sidings. There are also 8 sidings south of depot used for stabling only. The track layout is such that trains can only enter from the south. It is a stabling location for A (Waratah) sets, T (Tangara) sets and H (OSCAR) sets and crew depot, for services on the Central Coast, Northern, North Shore, and Western lines. It is also a maintenance depot for T sets.

Hornsby Girls' High School is a government-funded single-sex academically selective secondary day school for girls, located in Hornsby, a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1930, the school's first principal was Sarah Agnes Angus Brewster.Academically, Hornsby Girls' is regularly ranked first in the Hornsby region in terms of Higher School Certificate (HSC) results and is repeatedly ranked as one of the top five performing schools in the state.The school has a student exchange program with three of their languages – Japanese, French and German. Their Japanese sister school is Shukutoku Yono which is situated in Saitama, their German sister school is Graf-Rasso in Furstenfeldbruck and students from the school have visited New Caledonia a few times in recent years.

The Hornsby Water Clock, titled Man, Time and the Environment is a piece of kinetic sculpture, a decorative fountain and a functional clock in the Florence Street pedestrian mall in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia. Unveiled in 1993, the sculpture was designed and engineered by Victor Cusack and constructed of bronze, stainless steel and glass by Victor and his foundry floor manager Rex Feakes. Construction, including alterations to the mall, cost over A$1 million and took two and half years; thereafter, chicken bones and other carelessly discarded items caused many breakdowns before the water filtration system was upgraded.

Hornsby Shire is a local government area situated in Northern Sydney (Upper North Shore), as well as parts of the Hills District, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1960, the school enrolled approximately 580 students in 2022, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom three percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 19 percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education in accordance with a curriculum developed by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority; the principal is Bryce Grant.The school's sister school is the Asquith Girls High School. Activities such as music, art, drama, debating, sport and strong participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme are included in the co-curricular program.

North Wahroonga is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. North Wahroonga is located 23 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Ku-ring-gai Council. Wahroonga is a separate suburb, to the south. North Wahroonga is bounded by the F3 Sydney-Newcastle Freeway on the west and the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on the north.

St John's Uniting Church is a heritage-listed Uniting church located at Coonanbarra Road in the Sydney suburb of Wahroonga in the Ku-ring-gai Council local government area of New South Wales, Australia. Established as a Presbyterian church, the building was designed by John Shedden Adam (of Sulman and Power and Adam) and built from 1929 to 1930. It is also known as St. John's Uniting Church, Hall and Manse, Knox Church, Wahroonga Presbyterian Church, St John's Presbyterian Church, WPS and Wahroonga Preparatory School. The property is owned by the Uniting Church in Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 19 September 2003.

The Hornsby Plateau is a dissected sandstone plateau lying to the north of Sydney Harbour that rises 200 metres. The plateau is a part of the larger Sydney Basin structure.
