Hougham () is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, 6 miles (10 km) north from Grantham. The village of Marston, Lincolnshire is its closest neighbour, just under 1 mile (1.6 km) to the south.

Hougham railway station is a former railway station in Hougham, Lincolnshire. The station was about a mile east of the village of Hougham itself and was part of the Great Northern Railway. The station was opened on 15 July 1852.The closure of the station was announced on 17 August 1957 by the British Transport Commission, who confirmed that the station would be declared 'uneconomic' and passenger train services were withdrawn on 16 September 1957 as well as Claypole.

Grantham North Services is a service area operated by Moto located on the A1 at Gonerby Moor Roundabout, four miles north of Grantham in Lincolnshire, England. The service station has a main car park and coach/lorry park, off which is a BP petrol station. It lies in the parish of Great Gonerby, south of College Farm. It is the only motorway service station in Lincolnshire, which has no motorways (excluding North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire). Very few people refer to it as Grantham North, and is ubiquitously known as the Gonerby Moor Service Area.

Barkston railway station is a former station serving the village of Barkston, Lincolnshire. It was on the Great Northern Railway main line near to the now realigned (Allington chord) junction with the lines to Sleaford and Lincoln. The station was closed for passengers in 1955 and goods in 1964 . It has been demolished leaving no trace today of its existence.

The village is also part of the ecclesiastical parish of Hough on the Hill, part of the Loveden Deanery of the Diocese of Lincoln. There is a chapel of ease dedicated to St John the Evangelist, linked to the main church at Hough.

Oak Bank School is a co-educational special school with academy status located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England. The school accepts pupils from all over the Central Bedfordshire area. Oak Bank was established in 1976 as school for 'mal-adjusted children', and originally had capacity for 40 boarding pupils and 20 day pupils. The school had been commissioned by Luton County Borough, specifically for children from Luton, however Bedfordshire County Council took over responsibility for completing the school after the Local Government Act 1972, and the school accepted children from all over the county of Bedfordshire from its opening. Central Bedfordshire Council took over responsibility for the school after the 2009 structural changes to local government in England. In November 2013 the school converted to academy status. Today, Oak Bank is a day school for pupils who have statements of special educational need associated with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. When pupils join the school they have frequently had fractured experiences of education, and so their attainment on entry is well below average.

Great Gonerby is a village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 2,200. It is situated less than 1 mile (1.6 km) north from Grantham. To its north is Gonerby Moor, part of Great Gonerby civil parish, and the A1 road. It is 330 feet (101 m) above sea level and overlooks the Vale of Belvoir to the west and Grantham to the south.

Foston is a village and a civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The village is situated 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Grantham. The A1 road runs through the parish and borders the south of the village. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 525.

Belton and Manthorpe is a civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, consisting of Belton and Manthorpe, just north of Grantham. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 517 in 192 households. By 2011 the authorities recorded 528 people in 216 homes.The parish lies on either side of the River Witham, flowing northwards from Grantham to Lincoln, and is similarly bisected by the A607 road which follows the River closely through the parish. In 1852 the Great Northern Railway constructed its line between Grantham and Newark, which passes through the extreme west of the parish. This now forms part of the main East Coast Main Line from London to Edinburgh. The Eastern part of the parish encloses the village of Belton, the park of Belton House, and that part of Barkston Heath not taken up by RAF Barkston Heath. The extreme eastern boundary is the former Roman road known as High Dyke, part of Ermine Street. On the West of the river Welland is the large Golf Course known as Belton Woods. In the extreme south is the village of Manthorpe, not to be confused with Grantham's Manthorpe Estate, adjacent to the southern boundary. Both the villages were essentially agricultural estate villages constructed and maintained by the Brownlow family, until the 1950s.

Loveden is a deanery of the Diocese of Lincoln, England, and a former wapentake. Loveden is located broadly to the North of Grantham and includes the villages from Long Bennington in the west to Culverthorpe in the east, and from Welby in the south as far north as Welbourn. Brandon is roughly in the centre. Loveden Hill is locally supposed to be the meeting place for the early Wapentake summons, and is the site of both Roman and extensive Anglo-Saxon archaeology. The name is used for an STD telephone exchange, code 01400.

Stubton is a small village and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish (including Fenton) at the 2011 census was 295. The village is situated 8 miles (13 km) north from Grantham and 5 miles (8 km) south-east from Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire. Adjacent villages include Claypole, Dry Doddington, Beckingham and Brandon. The parish church is a Grade II* listed building dedicated to Saint Martin, built in 1799, with a chancel added in 1869.Stubton Hall is a large Grade II listed country house, built in 1813-14 by Sir Jeffry Wyatville for Sir Robert Heron, 2nd Baronet. In 1918 it was purchased by Sir Edmund Royds. After his death in 1946 it was purchased by Lincolnshire County Council, and from 1952 to 2003 it was used as a boarding school, and is now a hotel and wedding venue.
