Bhayandar is a Suburb in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai before the Vasai Creek. Bhayandar is situated to the north of Mumbai City. It has a large Gujarati population followed by Marwaris and others. Bhayandar is well connected from west to east through Bhayandar flyover & Bhayandar road Subway. It falls under the North Central ward of the Municipal Corporation.

Mira-Bhayandar is a city and municipal corporation in Thane district in the state of Maharashtra, India located in the northern part of Salsette Island before the Vasai Creek, and shares a border with North Mumbai. Mira-Bhayandar is administered by Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), with a population at the 2011 Census of 814,655. Mira-Bhayandar is a part of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Fort Bassein (Fortaleza de São Sebastião de Baçaím) is a ruined fort of the town of Vasai (Bassein), Maharashtra, India. The structure was formally christened as the Fort of St. Sebastian in the Indo-Portuguese era. The fort is a monument of national importance and is protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.The fort and the town are accessible via the Naigaon Railway Station which itself is in the city of Vasai-Virar, and lies to the immediate north of the city of Mumbai. The Naigaon Railway Station is on the Western Railway line (formerly the Bombay-Baroda railway) in the direction of the Virar railway station.

Vasai Creek, previously Bassein Creek, is an estuary and one of the two main distributaries of the Ulhas River, in Konkan division of Maharashtra, India. The Ulhas splits at the northeast corner of Salsette island into its two main distributaries, the other one being the Thane creek, both of which empty west into the Arabian Sea at the Bombay Harbour. The creek forms the northern boundary of Salsette island and separates the island from mainland of Konkan, on which lie the twin cities of Vasai-Virar. The creek separates the northern most part from. To the south of the creek lies Bhayandar suburb of Mumbai (Bombay) district& to the north of the creek lies Naigaon in Vasai (Bassein). Two rail bridges pass through Panju Island which lies in between the satellite cities of Vasai-Virar and Mumbai (Bombay). The old railway crossing bridge was supposedly built in British Bombay, and has been closed since it was declared too dangerous to cross. The two new bridges are functional and has 4 tracks, 2 on each bridge. The Bhayander side of the creek has a lot of outdoor activities and recreational areas which includes joggers park, playground, puja area and visarjan area for idol immersion on the east side. On the west side there are small garden benches. There are also small paths heading down into the sea where the waves can be watched hitting the shoreline.

Royal College of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management, popularly known as Royal College, is a college located in Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra and is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is the only major higher education institute in Mira-Bhayandar. N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research and N. L. Dalmia High School are situated just opposite to it. The college was rated "A with 3.10 CGPA" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).Royal College is a part of the Royal Society, which was founded on 28 December 1966 by Prof. Asgar E. Uttan is a coastal town just north of Mumbai in Thane district of Maharashtra. A coastal town, it comes under the jurisdiction of the Mira-Bhayandar Municipal Corporation. Part Jurisdiction is also handed over to the Mumbai Meteropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). However the locals have been opposing it, since the Tourism Plan proposed by the MMRDA will hamper the peace and tranquility of the locals. The area is famed for its beach, and fresh fish stock, visited by city-goers over the weekend. It is also famous for its lighthouse. The area has a significant East Indian Catholic and Muslims population.Uttan is a coastal village known for its sea food, quiet locales and sparsely populated areas. This village has much fresh fish like prawns, bombil, bangara, pomfret and chala fish that the locals at Uttan village eat. The fish normally is eaten with a flat bread called bhakari or rice crêpe called ghavan.Uttan is located 8 km away from Bhayandar and is full of people of the Koli and Muslim community.
