Thonon Agglomération is the communauté d'agglomération, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Thonon-les-Bains. It is located in the Haute-Savoie department, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, eastern France. Created in 2017, its seat is in Thonon-les-Bains. Its area is 238.9 km2. Its population was 90,531 in 2019, of which 35,826 in Thonon-les-Bains proper.

The commune covers an area of 4.95 square kilometres and lies between 415 and 674 metres above sea level. The inhabitants, of whom there were 1,287 in 2018, are known as Armoisiens.

Chablais (French pronunciation: [ʃablɛ], Italian: Chiablese) was a province of the Duchy of Savoy. Its capital was Thonon-les-Bains. Chablais was elevated to a duchy in 1311 by Henry VII, Holy Roman Emperor. This region is currently divided into three territories, the Chablais savoyard, the Chablais valaisan, and the Chablais vaudois, and is now split across two countries: France (department of Haute-Savoie) and Switzerland (cantons of Valais and Vaud). The Chablais Alps is a mountain range situated between the two countries, but the Chablais region itself also includes a large portion of the Vaud Alps and the Rhône Valley from Saint-Maurice, Switzerland, to Lake Geneva. The Swiss section of Chablais is served by the Transports Publics du Chablais (TPC) with buses and narrow gauge railways operating out of Aigle and Bex to service the communities in the region. Chablais is also a wine appellation (AOC) associated with the Chablais vaudois. The sub-appellations, Villeneuve, Yvorne, Aigle, Ollon-Vaud and Bex, are all situated in the district of Aigle. The district is mostly known for the white wines it produces using the Chasselas grape, referred to locally as Fendant.

Lullin is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It borders the communes of Vailly, Orcier, Habère-Poche and Bellevaux. The river Follaz goes through the town before flowing into the river Brevon, which in turn flows into the river Dranse, which eventually flows into Lake Geneva (French: lac Léman). The commune of Lullin includes several hamlets such as Pimberty, La Siaux, la Touvière, La Grange des Bois, Le Feu, Très-le-Mont, Chez Dagain, Vauverdanne, Monterrebout, Les Courbes, Les Granges, Recueillères. Its highest point is Mont Forchat (1545m).

It is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva (French: Lac Léman, or simply Le Léman).

Mont Bichet, also known as Les Trables and, formerly, La Crêche, is a mostly wooded mountain in eastern France belonging to the Chablais Alps. Mont Bichet is the Haute-Savoie department and is surrounded by the three communes of the Brevon valley, Bellevaux, Lullin and Vailly. Its elevation is 1,360 m. Its slopes include many former Alpine pastures, now in ruins, covered by woodland and heavily populated with game animals.
