Digby railway station was a railway station in Digby, Lincolnshire, which was open between 1882 and 1961.

Dorrington is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated 1.2 miles (2 km) both south from Digby and north from Ruskington. It is to the east of the north–south B1188, which lies just within the parish boundaries. The nearest town is Sleaford, approximately 4 miles (6 km) to the south. In the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 340, increasing slightly to 344 at the 2011 census.Dorrington Grade I listed Anglican church is dedicated to St James and St John. It is mainly in Decorated style. On the sides of the east window are ogee canopied niches. The church tower previously held a spire. On the exterior of the east window is a sculpture of the Last Judgment. The church is situated on the B1188 approximately 0.5 miles (0.8 km) north-west from the village centre, overlooking the village. Frank Whittle lodged at a house in the village while developing the jet engine at RAF Cranwell; the remains of this house lie near the church. In the village are the remains of a Grade II listed Medieval ashlar cross.The Peterborough to Lincoln Line passes to the east of the village. The village public house is the Musicians Arms on Main Street.

According to the 2001 Census it had a population of 796, increasing to 837 at the 2011 census. The parish includes the villages of Ashby de la Launde and Bloxholm, and the southern part of Scopwick Heath. For administrative reasons the parish council is also responsible for the adjacent parish of Temple Bruer with Temple High Grange.

The North Ings Farm Museum is a working farm museum containing a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway, running on a circuit of 1⁄4 mile (0.40 km). It is located at Dorrington, between Lincoln and Sleaford, in Lincolnshire. The museum includes agricultural machinery and tractors, commercial vehicles, portable steam pumps and a fairground organ. The collection was opened to the public in 1990.

The Deanery of Lafford is an historic deanery in the Anglican Diocese of Lincoln in England. Located around the market town of Sleaford, it covers an area of c.200 square miles and serves a population of c.36,000.In 1910 the Deanery was divided into the Deaneries of Lafford i or North Lafford, and the Deanery of Lafford ii or South Lafford. The two Deaneries re-merged in 1964 to form Lafford Deanery.Parishes of the Gilbertine Benefice were added in 2010.

Ruskington is a village and civil parish in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England, located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Sleaford on the north–south B1188 road and slightly north of the A153 road. The village contains approximately 2,200 dwellings and is approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) in length, measured from east to west. The population of the civil parish was 5,169 at the 2001 census, increasing to 5,637 at the 2011 census.

Ashby de la Launde is a small village, part of the civil parish of Ashby de la Launde and Bloxholm, in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. The village is situated just west of Digby, and east of the A15 and B1191 roads. In 1921 the parish had a population of 200.

Ruskington railway station serves the village of Ruskington in Lincolnshire, England. It opened in 1882 as part of the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway between Sleaford and Lincoln Central. It closed in 1961 but was reopened in 1975. The station is now owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway who provide all rail services. The station is unstaffed and offers limited facilities other than free car parking, two shelters, bicycle storage, timetables and modern 'Help Points'. The full range of tickets for travel are purchased from the guard on the train at no extra cost, there are no retail facilities at this station. In 2014 work was undertaken to improve access at the station. This included the construction of new railway bridges and disabled access ramps to safely cross the lines. Previous access from one platform to the other was by crossing both railway lines.

Royal Air Force Anwick or more simply RAF Anwick is a former Second World War faux Royal Air Force decoy station near the village of Anwick, 21.3 mi (34.3 km) south east of the county town of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The airfield was located in a field three quarters of a mile north-north-west of Anwick village. Originally constructed and operated as a Royal Flying Corps aerodrome in September 1916 it closed between the wars, reopening in September 1939 as a Royal Air Force decoy site to divert bombing raids away from nearby RAF Digby, the closest active fighter airfield. A minimal facility, even at the height of its active use, the airfield had only grass runways and no permanent brick buildings or hangars. All accommodation was of wooden and metal temporary construction. Within a few years of closing in 1942 there were no visible remains of the former flying facility, although a private landing strip and hangar now exist not far from the original aerodrome.

It is situated about 4 miles (6 km) north-east from the town of Sleaford, and in the civil parish of Ewerby and Evedon.Haverholme was a civil parish between 1858 and 1931. Haverholme Priory a Gilbertine priory of Saint Mary founded in 1139 and dissolved in 1539, was located here. The site is now scheduled. A red-brick and limestone mansion house, also called Haverholme Priory, and dating from 1780 was built on the same site. It was later rebuilt by H. E. Kendall in 1835, which was the seat of the Finch-Hatton family. The house fell into disrepair in the early 20th century and today only a fragment remains, which is Grade II listed.
