Whites Creek, Tennessee

Whites Creek Historic District is a historic neighborhood in Whites Creek, Tennessee. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Davidson County, Tennessee (NRHP) in 1984.

The Alexander Ewing House is a historic mansion in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S. The two-story plantation home was built in 1821 in the Federal architecture style for Alexander Ewing. It is constructed of brick with a stone foundation and a gable roof. Both the north and south side elevations feature a pair of chimneys connected by a parapet wall. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 25, 1980.

The Frederick Stump Tavern-Inn is a historic house in Nashville, Tennessee, US. It was built by Colonel Frederick Stump, an early settler of Nashville who arrived in the region as part of the first group of white settlers at Fort Nashboro in 1779. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 2, 1973.The two-story building is constructed of red cedar logs and has eight rooms, including two sleeping rooms on the upper floor and one on the bottom floor. It originally sat closer to the road, but was moved back approximately 100 feet when Buena Vista Pike was widened. The structure is directly down the street from the Alexander Ewing House, another listed historic building constructed in 1821 that sits approximately 850 feet to the north of the Stump House.

WRVW (107.5 FM) is a radio station licensed to the city of Lebanon, Tennessee, but serving the nearby Nashville market. It is currently branded as 107.5 The River, broadcasting a Top 40 (CHR) format, and has become something of a heritage station for Top-40 music in middle Tennessee. It is owned by iHeartMedia and operates out of studios in the world-famous "Music Row" area. Its transmitter is located just north of downtown Nashville.

WCJK (96.3 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Murfreesboro, Tennessee and serving the Nashville metropolitan area. It airs an adult hits radio format and is owned by Midwest Communications, Inc. It subscribes to the nationally syndicated Jack FM service. WCJK has an effective radiated power of 39,000 watts. The transmitter is on Trail Hollow Lane, near Interstate 24, in the Whites Creek neighborhood of Nashville. The studios and offices are located on Rosedale Avenue in south central Nashville near the Tennessee State Fairgrounds arena.

Davidson Academy is a private Christian school located in Nashville, Tennessee. It has students ranging from K-3 to 12th grade.

WMDB (880 AM) is a Regional Mexican-formatted radio station in Nashville, Tennessee. The station's power is 2,500 watts during the daytime hours. The station is currently owned by Mahan Janbakhsh, through licensee TBLC Media #2, LLC. Nighttime power is reduced to 2 watts to protect the signal of WCBS in New York, New York. WCBS is the dominant Class A signal on 880 AM.

The Abner T. Shaw House is a historic mansion in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, U.S. that was built in 1855. It was designed in the Greek Revival architectural style. During the American Civil War of 1861–1865, the house was not burnt down by the Union Army because both Shaw and the Union general were Masons. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 28, 1985.

American Baptist College (previously American Baptist Theological Seminary) is a private, Baptist college in Nashville, Tennessee, affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, USA. Founded in 1924, its predecessor in black Baptist education was Roger Williams University, a Nashville college begun in the late-19th century and closed in the early 20th century (its campus is now occupied by Peabody College of Vanderbilt University). Upon full accreditation by the American Association of Bible Colleges, ABTS dropped use of the term "Theological Seminary" and renamed itself American Baptist College. The college has an 82% acceptance rate. In Fall 2019, 77% of students were retained after the first year of attendance.

Watkins College of Art at Belmont University is an art and design college of Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. It is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and offers Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degrees as well as post-graduate degrees in film and visual arts. As of 2019, approximately 200 students were enrolled, mostly full-time. The college resides in a 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m2) facility in the MetroCenter area of north Nashville and offers on-campus housing. It was established in 1885. In 2020, the college merged with Belmont University.

The Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Tennessee Prison for Women, is a Tennessee Department of Correction prison for women located in Nashville, Tennessee.DJRC, the state's primary women's correctional facility, houses women of all custody levels. The prison serves as the state's new female prisoner intake and classification center, and it also houses all female death row inmates. There is currently only one female on death row in the state of Tennessee, Christa Pike. Women on death row are not housed in special death row units because few women go on death row. The prison first opened in 1966 and has a capacity of 817 inmates. The state classifies the prison as a maximum security institution.

Hunters Lane High School (formerly Hunters Lane Comprehensive High School; commonly Hunters Lane, HLHS) is a public school in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. The school opened in 1986 and had its first graduating class in 1987. It serves approximately 1700 students. In March 2012, the Metro Board of Education dropped the "Comprehensive" title from all its zoned schools to reflect the district's new emphases on smaller learning communities and thematic career academies. As a zoned high school, the school's population is primarily composed of graduates of Madison, Neely's Bend, and Goodlettsville Middle Schools.
