Vogelenzang is a village in the municipality of Bloemendaal, North Holland, Netherlands. The name "Vogelenzang" is Dutch for "bird song".

Beinsdorp (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛinzdɔr(ə)p]) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, and lies about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) southwest of Hoofddorp along the Ringvaart, adjacent to Hillegom. Beinsdorp is named after a former island in the former Haarlemmer Lake.The village was first mentioned in 1851 as Beinsdorp, and means "Ben's village".

Hillegom (Dutch: [ˌɦɪləˈɣɔm] (listen)) is a town and municipality in the Western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Hillegom is part of an area called the Duin- en Bollenstreek ("Dune and Bulb Region"). As such, a large portion of the local economy was traditionally geared to the cultivation of bulb flowers. The name Hillegom is derived from the abbey named Hijlighem (Old Frankish for "Holy Home"). This abbey no longer exists. The current Lord of Hillegom is Jan Six X.

The Leidsevaart (also known as Leidse trekvaart, Dutch for "Leiden's Pull-Canal") is a canal between the cities of Haarlem and Leiden in the Netherlands. It was dug in 1657, making it one of the oldest canals in the Netherlands. It was the major means of transport between Leiden and Haarlem for almost two centuries until the rail connection was established in the 19th century. The original stops along the railway mirrored the toll bridges of the canal. The canal runs through or borders the municipalities of Haarlem, Heemstede, Bloemendaal, Hillegom, Noordwijkerhout, Lisse, Teylingen, Oegstgeest, and Leiden.

Arnoud was a small township in the Dutch province of South Holland. The township was located between Hillegom and Lisse. It consisted of a single street (Arnoudstraat) and was developed as part of the creation of De Arnoud factory in 1904. Over time the factory expanded and the houses on Arnoudstraat had to be torn down. The area of Arnoud is now called Hillegom-Zuid and is an industrial area with no inhabitants.

Restaurant De Oude Geleerde Man is a defunct restaurant in Bennebroek, in the Netherlands. It was a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in 1980 and retained that rating until 1990. The restaurant closed down shortly after 1991.In 1970, Arie Siliakus became the owner. In 1990 he sold the restaurant to buy De Hoop op d’Swarte Walvis. In the period 1981-1986 Jean Jacques Menanteau was head chef.Since 2009, a Chinese-Japanese restaurant is housed on the former location of De Oude Geleerde Man. This continues a tradition as a stopping point and restaurant at this address since 1683.De Oude Geleerde Man is subject of the poem Lofzang aan de Oude Geleerde Man by Gerrit van Lennep (1774-1833).

Keukenhof (English: "Kitchen garden"; Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkøːkə(n)ˌɦɔf]), also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in the municipality of Lisse, in the Netherlands. According to the official website, Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares (79 acres) and approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the gardens annually. Keukenhof is widely known for its tulips, and it also features numerous other flowers, including hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, roses, carnations and irises.Keukenhof is located in the province of South Holland, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam in the area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek). It is accessible by bus from Haarlem and Leiden train stations as well as Schiphol. Though its grounds are open year-round for private affairs and festivals, Keukenhof is only open to the general public for a world-renowned 8 week tulip display from mid-March to mid-May, with peak viewing arriving near mid-April, depending on growing season weather, which varies annually. In 2019, 1.5 million people visited Keukenhof, equivalent to 26,000 visitors per day. By comparison, the Rijksmuseum receives an average of 8,000 visitors per day, the Efteling receives 14,000.

Bennebroek (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛnəbruk] (listen)) is a village and former municipality in the northwest Netherlands, now part of Bloemendaal, North Holland. Before its merger, it was the smallest municipality in the Netherlands, covering an area of only 1.75 km².

Nieuwebrug is a hamlet in the western Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, North Holland, about 11 km west of Amsterdam. Nieuwebrug has a population of around 360.

Hartekamp, or Hartecamp, is the name of a villa in Heemstede, North Holland, the Netherlands, on the Bennebroek border. It was once the Buitenplaats of George Clifford, who employed Carl Linnaeus in 1737 to write his Hortus Cliffortianus, a detailed description of the gardens of Hartecamp.

Castlefest is a medieval/fantasy festival in the Netherlands, held in the gardens of Castle Keukenhof in Lisse since 2005.

The Huis te Manpad is an historical villa and former summer home of Jacob van Lennep in Heemstede, the Netherlands; bordered by the Leidsevaart canal, the Manpadslaan, and the Herenweg. It neighbors the estate of Hartekamp, famed for the gardens described by Carl Linnaeus. Both estates still have trees and other flora dating from that period. The Haarlem archives have material about the estate dating back to 1558. The current main building dates from 1630. It was restored in 1720 when the gardens received an overhaul (the same Arcadia gardening period in the Haarlem area that drew Linnaeus to Hartekamp). In 1767 the villa came into the possession of the Van Lennep family, who owned it up to 1953. In 1945 it was again restored by Monumentenzorg. Thanks to the loving care of the Van Lennep's, the gardens were almost intact in the form they had been in Linnaeus's day, and it is currently being restored. The most recent private owner, Jan Visser, gave it to the Stichting Huis te Manpad on his death. In 1817 the then owner of the estate, David Jacob van Lennep, placed a monument at the corner of his property commemorating two battles that supposedly took place there. The house and gardens are not open to the public. During spring and summer months weekly tours are available.
