Meulebeke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmøːləˌbeːkə]; West Flemish: Mullebeke) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises only the town of Meulebeke proper. On January 1, 2006, Meulebeke had a total population of 10,980. The total area is 29.35 km² which gives a population density of 374 inhabitants per km².

The VRT Zendstation Egem is a 305 metres (1,001 ft) tall guyed mast used as a broadcast antenna. It broadcasts the radio and TV programs of the VRT and Q-Music, JOE fm, and Nostalgie Vlaanderen. There are also a number of antennas for mobile communications (Base, Mobistar and Proximus) attached to the mast. It was built in 1973 and is located in Egem in Pittem, West Flanders, Belgium. It was the tallest structure in Belgium, the Sint-Pieters-Leeuw Tower beats it with its 302 meters in height. Since 2008 the tower is owned and operated by Norkring België.Radio services broadcast from the site (particularly those of the VRT) can be received in parts of neighbouring countries. Reception of the VRT services can regularly be received in the southern provinces of the Netherlands, Nord-Pas-de-Calais in Northern France and Kent in Southeast England.

Tielt (Dutch pronunciation: [tilt]; French: Thielt) is a Belgian city and municipality in the province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the town of Tielt proper and the villages of Aarsele, Kanegem, and Schuiferskapelle.

The municipality comprises only the town of Ingelmunster proper and the village of Kriek. As of January 1, 2006, Ingelmunster had a total population of 10,617. Its total area is 16.16 km². Thus, its population density is 657 inhabitants per km².

Emelgem is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders and a part (deelgemeente) of the municipality Izegem. Emelgem was an independent municipality until 1964. On that moment Emelgem had an area from 5,44 km² and was counting 5049 inhabitants. Emelgem is located close to the river the Mandel and to the canal Roeselare-Leie.

During the First World War Hitler was stationed in Ardooie quartered with a family. He painted some of the buildings and the countryside.

Oostrozebeke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌoːstˈroːzəbeːkə]; West Flemish: Ôostrôzebeke) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises only the town of Oostrozebeke proper. On January 1, 2018 Oostrozebeke had a total population of 7,849. The total area is 16.62 km² which gives a population density of 472 inhabitants per km².

Izegem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈizəɣɛm]; West Flemish: Yzegem) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Izegem proper and the towns of Emelgem and Kachtem. Emelgem was added to Izegem in 1965, Kachtem in 1977. Izegem itself lies on the southern banks of the Mandel, Emelgem and Kachtem on the north. Along the shores of the canal a large industrial zone has developed, which made the three municipalities one urban area. On January 1, 2006, Izegem had a total population of 26,544. The total area is 25.48 km2 (9.84 sq mi) which gives a population density of 1,042 inhabitants per km². Izegem is also known as the pekkerstad, borstelstad or schoenenstad. The river Mandel and the canal Roeselare–Leie run throughout the city. Izegem used to be famous for its shoe- and brush-making. Today there are only a few factories left, but the city houses a shoe- and brush museum. Until the 1920s, Izegem was often spelled Iseghem, which can be found on old passport applications, birth records, and gazetteers. The Van Iseghem surname originally referred to this city.
