Park Slope Village is a housing development in the northwestern section of Park Slope, Brooklyn, bordering Gowanus to the west. It was developed by the Fifth Avenue Committee, and built by the Urban Housing Association as part of a 1982 urban renewal project. Construction of the 55 three-unit townhouses was completed in 1986.The distinct pitched roof-line of the townhouses was inspired by the architectural features of the original, now demolished, P.S. 133, which stood in the center of the neighborhood.

Union Street was a station on the demolished section of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line in Brooklyn, New York City. Served by trains of the BMT Culver Line and BMT Fifth Avenue Line, it had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. The station was opened on June 22, 1889 at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Union Street, and had a connection to the Union Street Line trolleys. The next stop to the north was Saint Marks Avenue. The next stop to the south was Third Street. It closed on May 31, 1940.

Saint Marks Avenue was a station on the demolished section of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line in Brooklyn, New York City. Served by trains of the BMT Culver Line and BMT Fifth Avenue Line, it had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. The station was opened on June 22, 1889 at Fifth Avenue and St. Marks Place, which is renamed St. Marks Avenue east of Fifth Avenue. It also had a connection to the Bergen Street Line trolleys. It closed on May 31, 1940.

Grand Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It opened on April 24, 1888, and had two tracks and two offset side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. The station was also the easternmost station to share the original Brighton Line trains before branching off to the south at the Franklin Avenue el station, the site of the present-day Franklin Avenue subway station. It also had connections to Putnam Avenue Line trolleys. The next stop to the east was Franklin Avenue. The next stop to the west was Vanderbilt Avenue. In 1936, the Independent Subway System built the Fulton Street subway, but provided no station as competition. The el station became obsolete, and it closed on May 31, 1940.

The Union Street station is a local station on the BMT Fourth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. It is located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Union Street in Brooklyn, New York City, serving the communities of Park Slope, Gowanus and Carroll Gardens. It is served by the R train at all times. The D and N trains also stop here during late nights, and some rush-hour W trains stop here in the peak direction. The Union Street station was constructed as part of the Fourth Avenue Line, which was approved in 1905. Construction on the segment of the line that includes Union Street started on December 20, 1909, and was completed in September 1912. The station opened on June 22, 1915, as part of the initial portion of the BMT Fourth Avenue Line to 59th Street. The station's platforms were lengthened in 1926–1927, and again during a renovation in 1968–1970. The station was also renovated in 1970 and in the mid-1990s.

St. Augustine's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Park Slope, Brooklyn. In May 2022, the church’s gold tabernacle worth approximately $2 million was stolen.

Public Bath No. 7 is a historic bathhouse located in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York City. It was designed by Brooklyn architect Raymond F. Almirall. It was built between 1906 and 1910 and is constructed of white glazed brick and limestone colored terra cotta blocks. The design is based on a Renaissance palazzo. It measures three bays by five bays. The bathhouse was converted to a gymnasium in 1937.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.In the 1990s it was converted to a private events space and renamed The Lyceum.In 2014 the property was lost to foreclosure.In 2017 the building finished restoration.

On July 31, 1997, officers from the NYPD Emergency Service Unit raided an apartment in Brooklyn, New York City, after being warned of a planned bombing. Gazi Ibrahim Abu Mezer and Lafi Khalil, both Palestinian illegal immigrants were shot and apprehended during the raid, which located two pipe bombs in the apartment.Mezer, who confessed to having planned to bomb a train on the New York City Subway, received a life sentence for the plot which included charges of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction, while Khalil was acquitted for charges related to the bombing plot and sentenced to three years in prison for immigration fraud.

Brooklyn High School of the Arts ("Brooklyn Arts") is a New York City public high school located in Boerum Hill in Brooklyn. It provides pre-college courses and a pre-conservatory arts program. The school has majors including Fine Art (visual and design), Dance (performing arts), Instrumental Music (performing arts), Theater (performing arts) and Vocal Music (performing arts). Students must audition before the teaching staff for their chosen major. The school had its first graduating class in June 2004. Hip-hop recording artist Jeannie Ortega was also part of the first graduating class. It has a student population of about 900 students in grades 9 through 12. The school has extracurricular activities such as a thespian society, peer mediation, guitar club, anime club, chess club, student advisory council, art clubs, newspaper, Gay-Straight Alliance and the National Honor Society. The school offers sports such as volleyball, track, double dutch, basketball, badminton. The principal is Daniel Vecchiano. The high school also offers summer internships via the Preservation Arts program. Students can intern at various architecture, construction, and engineering firms around New York. The school offers programs such as: - Advanced Via Individual Determination. This program trains educators to prepare students for success in high school, college, and a career. Students can apply during their freshman year and if accepted, can participate in the program until their senior year. - The school has a partnership with the Metropolitan Opera House and gives it free access to screening of live shows each month. Examples of past operas shown are "Die Zauberflöte" and "L’Elisir d’Amore". Students, faculty, staff, and locals can go into the schools auditorium and watch the projections of the show. - The Brooklyn Arts Lecture Series brings in professionals from different backgrounds into the school to sit down interview style and share their journey of how the achieved success. Past presenters include the dancer and choreographer Dwana Smallwood and jazz vocalist Marianne Solivan. -New York Cares S.A.T. Program offers students free tutors to help prepare for the S.A.T.s. This program allows students to practice S.A.T.s. Brooklyn arts is one of the fifteen schools in New York City to become an AP capstone affiliate. The advance placement classes offered are in United States history, English language and composition, statistics, world history, human geography, biology, environmental science and psychology.

NYC Resistor is a restricted membership private club hackerspace with 25 members in New York, inspired by Chaos Computer Club and other hacker organizations. The New York Times describes it as "kind of frat house for modern-day mad scientists." Its own website describes itself as "NYC Resistor is a hacker collective with a shared space located in downtown Brooklyn. We meet regularly to share knowledge, hack on projects together, and build community."
