The Chrysler Canada Greenway is a 42 km-long rail trail in Essex County, Ontario, Canada, stretching from Oldcastle (near Windsor) to Leamington.

Oldcastle is an unincorporated community in the town of Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded to the north by Highway 3, to the east by the Chrysler Canada Greenway trail, to the south by County Road 8 (Townline), and to the west by Howard Avenue. It is the starting point of the Chrysler Canada Greenway rail trail. Its western half consists primarily of industries and businesses, while the remaining area is farmland and residential.

Windsor International Airport (IATA: YQG, ICAO: CYQG) is located in the southeast portion of the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The airport serves a mixture of scheduled airline flights and general aviation, and is a popular point of entry into Canada for private and business aircraft. The airspace above the airport is exceptionally busy because of the proximity to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) arrivals and departures are handled by Detroit approach control. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). CBSA officers at this airport can handle aircraft up to 325 passengers, and can handle up to 450 if the aircraft is unloaded in stages.

Académie Ste. Cécile International School, commonly referred to as ASCIS or Ste. Cécile, is a private school located in the South Windsor neighbourhood of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The school was opened in 1993 by Therese Gadoury as Académie Ste. Cécile Private School (ASCPS). Despite the school's French name, it has been an English school since inception. In 1997, the school underwent a name change to Académie Ste. Cécile International School. The school places an emphasis on music, with all students required to learn an instrument, and the school is therefore named after Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of music. The primary campus of the school consists of an elementary school from kindergarten to grade 8, in addition to a high school. Each has a student population of approximately 300. The school is also linked with a music school, dance school, nursery school, and school for those with special needs. The school also offers both International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs, including it within a handful of Windsor schools that offer these programs.The school includes both local and boarding students, with international students primarily coming from China, Hong Kong, Colombia, and Mexico, who live at the school for the duration of their studies.

Devonshire Mall is a shopping mall in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It was built in 1970 at the location of the former Devonshire Raceway, a horse racing track, that had existed since 1935. The mall has been expanded several times since its opening, in 1981, 1996, 1999-2002, 2008, and 2018. At over 175 stores, it is by far the largest mall in Windsor. Devonshire Mall was sold by HOOPP in 2022 to H&R Reit and is currently operated by Primaris REIT.

On June 17, 1946, the most powerful tornado to strike Windsor, Ontario, moved through the town at F4 intensity. The tornado touched down near River Rouge, Michigan, then crossed the Detroit River and made landfall in the Brighton Beach neighbourhood of Windsor. It then cut across southern Windsor and northern Sandwich West Township, Ontario (now the Municipality of LaSalle, Ontario), along a path 60 kilometres (40 mi) in length. It also cut across Highway 3 before weakening somewhat. The storm then touched down as an F4 again at the modern-day intersection of Walker Road and Grand Marais Road, near the center of the city.

The Grand Marais Trail is the name of a small bicycle trail that follows Turkey Creek (also known as the Grand Marais Drain) in the middle of Windsor, Ontario. It starts off as a minor spur route, connecting the West Windsor Recreationway with Huron Church Road and the neighbourhood of South Windsor (via a tunnel under Huron Church Road, and light at Grand Marais Rd. if the tunnel is closed).

The Battle of Windsor was a short-lived campaign in the eastern Michigan area of the United States and the Windsor area of Upper Canada. A group of men on both sides of the border, calling themselves "Patriots", formed small militias in 1837 with the intention of seizing the Southern Ontario peninsula between the Detroit and Niagara Rivers and extending American-style government to Canada. They based groups in Michigan at Fort Gratiot (present Port Huron), Mount Clemens, Detroit, and Gibraltar. The Patriots were defeated by British and American government forces, respectively.

The Devonwood Bike Trail is a fairly straight and flat bike trail in the southern end of the city of Windsor, Ontario. The path starts just south of E.C. Row Expressway at the intersection of Hallmark Avenue and Conservation Drive. The path has several short branches less than 100 m long to connect it to neighbouring cul-de-sacs, and passes through a couple parks. Its southern terminus is the end of the pavement as it enters the Essex Region Conservation Authority-controlled Devonwood Conservation Area, a heavily wooded animal and plant sanctuary. The trail also serves the Windsor Airport, Devonshire Mall, and the "Silver City" mall and theatre area via bike lanes on Calderwood Avenue and a paved trail along Walker Road. Contrary to what one may expect, the trail is actually quite lightly travelled, considering the major attractions within 1 mile (1.6 km) of it.

Tecumseh () is a town in Essex County in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is on Lake St. Clair east of Windsor and had a population of 23,229 at the 2016 census. It is part of the Windsor census metropolitan area, and is a part of the Windsor-Essex County region along with Amherstburg, Kingsville, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Leamington. Tecumseh was originally a Franco-Ontarian settlement. Food processing is a major industry in Tecumseh, as Bonduelle owns a food processing plant near the town. The plant was built by Green Giant in 1931. Green Giant sold the plant in the late 1990s to Family Tradition Foods, who sold it to Carrière Foods in 2006. Carrière Foods was purchased in 2007 by Bonduelle.The Tecumseh Corn Festival has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Festivals in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario.Tecumseh is surrounded by Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. Detroit is easily accessible to Tecumseh residents by the Ambassador Bridge or the Detroit–Windsor Tunnel, both of which are located within the neighbouring municipality of Windsor. The town is named after Tecumseh, an 18th-century Shawnee chief and warrior who promoted resistance to the expansion of the United States onto Native American lands.
