The Theatre Royal was the first theatre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It opened in 1865. It was designed by Andrea Strombuco.

Perry House is a heritage-listed office building at 167 Albert Street (corner of Elizabeth Street), Brisbane City, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Claude William Chambers and built from 1911 to 1923 by Thomas Keenan. It is also known as Royal Albert Apartments. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 October 1994.

The T & G Building stands on the corner of Queen Street and Albert Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The original building named for the T&G (Temperance and General) Mutual Life Assurance Society Company stood from 1923 to 1966.

Brisbane Festival Hall was an indoor arena located on the southern corner of Albert Street and Charlotte Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It operated from 1910 to 2003, before being demolished to make an apartment building.

Queen Street bus station is the primary bus terminus in Brisbane central business district in Queensland, Australia. It is underneath The Myer Centre and Queen Street Mall. It opened on 26 March 1988. At the time it was the largest underground diesel bus station in the world. Queen Street bus station serves as the terminus of many routes servicing the South East Busway, Southern and Eastern Suburbs and the Centenary / Indooroopilly / Kenmore corridor. It is served by 35 routes all operated by Brisbane Transport.No Northern Busway services directly connect King George Square busway station with the Queen Street busway station. After stopping at King George Square, a number of inbound services bypass the Queen Street stop or terminate at the Cultural Centre on the southern side of the Brisbane River, and vice versa. However, King George Square and Queen Street are only a short walking distance apart. The station is divided into several platforms originally named after Australian native animals, but are now identified with letters and numbers: Passengers wait behind automatic doors on the stop that is assigned to their bus. In June 2015, the platforms were again renamed, becoming numbers. The station has a portal for buses traffic to enter and leave at the northern end of Victoria Bridge, to connect to the Cultural Centre busway station. The former entry/exit portal (on Albert Street, facing King George Square), from the Queen Street busway station, was converted into a tunnel so that the station could be connected to King George Square busway station, which opened in May 2008 in the lower two levels of the King George Square Car Park.

The Myer Centre is a multi-storied retail building located between the Queen Street Mall and Elizabeth Street in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia named after Myer, its largest tenant. It is a nine-floor shopping complex which includes Queensland's largest Myer department store, and is open to the public seven days a week. The Myer Centre is also one of the bus transit hubs for the Brisbane CBD. Many bus routes commence and terminate under the Myer Centre. The Myer Centre Car Park is also one of the largest car parks in the Brisbane CBD

123 Albert Street is a commercial office development in Brisbane, Australia. The modern style office building is located in the Brisbane central business district at 123 Albert Street. The building was completed in July 2011 and opened in October 2011. The Premium grade office tower was designed by Hassell and is owned by Dexus. The tower consists of 26 levels of office space and eight levels of car parking (five above ground) which provide 388 car park spaces. The building has a two design ratings: a 6 Green Star rating and a 5 Star Australian Building Greenhouse Rating which are pending assessment. On 25 August 2010 a worker was injured during the construction of the tower.The building was the first in Brisbane to employ a commercial concierge.

Regent Theatre was a heritage-listed cinema at 167 Queen Street, Brisbane, Australia. It was designed by Richard Gailey, Charles N Hollinshed and Aaron Bolot and built from 1928 to 1929 by J & E L Rees and A J Dickenson. It was one of the original Hoyts' Picture Palaces from the 1920s. It is also known as Regent Building. The auditorium interior was largely lost when it was converted into a 4 screen complex in 1979-80, but the building, including the surviving entrance and main foyer, was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The Great fire of Brisbane was a major conflagration that swept through the central parts of Brisbane in the Colony of Queensland (now a state of Australia) on 1 December 1864. For two and a half hours the fire burned out of control in large parts of Brisbane's central business district with entire blocks being destroyed, mainly in Queen, Albert, George, and Elizabeth Streets. It consumed 50 houses, 2 banks, 3 hotels, 4 draperies, and many other businesses as well as a "considerable amount of small houses". Considering the extent of the fire, casualties were very few; there was no loss of life, and four people were taken to hospital with injuries.

Heckelmanns Building is a heritage-listed warehouse at 171 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Andrea Giovanni Stombuco and built from 1884 to 1891. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The Queen Street Mall is a pedestrian mall located on Queen Street in the centre of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The mall extends approximately 500 metres (1,600 ft) from George Street to Edward Street, and has more than 700 retailers over 40,000 square metres (430,000 sq ft) of retail space, which includes six major shopping centres. It receives over 26 million visitors each year. It was intended to bring more people into the central business district.
