Rock River Generating Station

Riverside Energy Center is an electrical power station located north of Beloit, Wisconsin in the Town of Beloit, just west of the Rock River. It consists of two 2-on-1 units (2 Combustion turbines per 1 HRSG). The facility is owned and operated by Alliant Energy.

The school was named after frontiersman Frederick Jackson Turner. It has 470 students in grades 9 through 12. The school's athletic teams compete in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. The mascot is the Turner Trojan. Their rivals include the Clinton Cougars and the Jefferson Eagles.

Harry C. Pohlman Field is a baseball field located in Beloit, Wisconsin, United States. The stadium was built in 1982 and holds 3,501 people. It was the home of the Beloit Snappers minor league baseball team of the Midwest League/High-A Central from its founding until July 18, 2021. The Beloit Memorial High School and Beloit American Legion baseball teams both play their home games there as well.

MacFarlane Pheasants Inc., America's largest pheasant farm, hatches more than 1.5 million chicks and sells more than 400,000 mature game birds to game preserves across North America. In both 2007 and 2010 MacFarlane Pheasants was named to the Inc. Magazine top 5000 companies list. The farm lis located in the Town of Rock, just outside the southern city limits of Janesville, Wisconsin, USA. Rock County's Prairie Knoll Park lies just across Center Avenue (U.S. Route 51), to the west.

Eclipse Center, formerly known as Beloit Plaza or Beloit Mall, is a mixed-use development and former shopping mall in Beloit, Wisconsin. It is undergoing a renovation with the aim of making it a pivotal point in the city. It formerly housed the department store Elder-Beerman, and still houses several Rock County government offices, a convention center and bar, and two School District of Beloit charter schools. There are also an automotive shop and a culinary program run by students from Beloit Memorial High School.

The Fairbanks Flats are four apartment buildings in Beloit, Wisconsin, built in 1917 by Fairbanks Morse to house black workers arriving from the South. The flats segregated the black families, but also constitute the kernel of Beloit's black community. In 1983, they were added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Turtleville Iron Bridge is an overhead truss bridge built in 1887 where South Lathers Road crosses Turtle Creek near Beloit, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.Turtleville was settled in 1838, growing around a dam and mill and once including a distillery, a store, a blacksmith shop, a school, church, and the once-elegant Hodson House. Turtleville has since withered into a ghost town, but the cemetery and bridge survive from that era.The bridge is a single-span, 141-foot-long (43 m), Pratt truss bridge built by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company, and is perhaps one of its earlier truss bridges. The structure includes eye bars, pin connections, counter rods with turnbuckles, and a wooden deck. Around 1890 bridge construction was transitioning from wrought iron to steel, and the bridge is a rare surviving example of the earlier technology.
